What are the key installation requirements for the PREMIUM PCH797DR cooker hood?

Before installing your PREMIUM PCH797DR, please adhere to the following requirements for optimal performance and safety:

1. Do not install the cooker hood where there are many doors or windows, as this can affect the exhaust efficiency due to air convection.

2. Install the cooker hood directly above the hob. The recommended distance between the hob and the lower edge of the cooker hood is a minimum of 650mm and a maximum of 700mm.

3. To get the best performance, do not make the exhaust pipe too long. Try to make the bend of the exhaust pipe less pronounced and as wide as possible, and ensure the connection is airproof.

4. After hanging the unit on the wall, ensure the hood is level and vertical.

5. The air outlet must not be connected to chimney flues or combustion gas ducts. Under no circumstances should the air outlet be connected to ventilation ducts for a room in which fuel-burning appliances are installed.

How do I install the PREMIUM PCH797DR cooker hood?

SAFETY WARNING: The hood may have very sharp edges. Please wear protective gloves if it is necessary to remove any parts for installing, cleaning, or servicing.

The installation procedure for the PREMIUM PCH797DR is as follows:

Step 1: Place the cooker hood on the wall and mark the position where you want to install it. The recommended height from the hob to the lower edge of the hood is between 650mm and 700mm.

Step 2: Mark four holes on the wall as indicated in the manual’s diagram. Drill 4 holes of 8mm diameter and 60-70mm in depth in the wall where you marked. Press the 4 expanding tubes into the holes. Tighten the 4 wood screws (5x60mm) supplied with the hood into the expanding tubes. Make sure it’s fixed enough and cannot move.

Step 3: Hang the cooker hood on the 2 wood screws. Tighten the 2 wood screws from the position of the filters to the expanding tube. If the hood is slightly tilted, use the adjustable screws to make it level.

Step 4: Fix the exhaust pipe (153mm diameter side) to the shutter.

Step 5: Fix the hook to the inner chimney with M4 screws.

Step 6: Put the inner chimney into the outer chimney. Please note that the inner chimney must be fixed to the outer chimney’s orientation slot.

Step 7: Put the outer chimney onto the unit body and use two M4x10 screws to fix the outer chimney to the unit body.

Step 8: Extend the inner chimney to the desired height. Mark the two holes of the inner chimney’s hook on the wall. Gently put down the inner duct cover and drill two holes (60-70mm depth) using an 8mm drill bit. Press the expanding tubes into the holes. Extend the inner chimney again and tighten it to the expanding tubes with two 5×60 wood screws.

Step 9: Extend the exhaust pipe to the vent-pipe of your building or to the outside. Try to make the bend of the exhaust pipe more than 120°.

Step 10: Install the filter. Put the fix pin into the fix hole and gently press down the filter’s clip.
