Your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 hearing aids have color markings to help you distinguish between the left and right devices. The color mark is located on the battery door, on the shell (text printed in red or blue), or the shell itself is colored red or blue.

Blue marking: Indicates the left hearing aid.

Red marking: Indicates the right hearing aid.

The battery door of your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 also functions as the on/off switch.

To turn ON: Close the battery door completely. You may hear a start-up melody.

To turn OFF: Open the battery door.

Follow these steps to change the battery:

1. Remove the protective sticker from the new battery and wait for two minutes.

2. Use your fingernail to carefully open the battery door. Do not force it.

3. Place the new battery in the battery door with the “+” symbol facing upwards.

4. Close the battery door.

If it is difficult to close the battery door, check that the battery is inserted correctly with the “+” symbol facing upwards. If the battery is not inserted correctly, the hearing aid will not work and the battery door can be damaged.

Your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 requires zinc-air batteries. You can identify the correct battery size (312 or 10) by checking the marking on the inner side of the battery door or by using the table below.

You will hear two beeps when the battery on your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 is low. After hearing the beeps, you will have approximately 30 minutes to change the battery. This can vary depending on the hearing aid settings and battery type. It is recommended to always have a new battery on hand.

To put on your hearing aid, take it up to your ear and gently place the ear canal part into your ear canal.

There are two methods for removing your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312, depending on if it has a removal handle.

With a removal handle:

Hold the removal handle and carefully pull the hearing aid up and out of the ear.

Without a removal handle:

1. Put your thumb behind your ear lobe and gently press your ear upward to push the hearing aid out of the canal. Making chewing movements with your jaw can help.

2. Grasp the protruding hearing aid and remove it.

The push button on your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 can have various functions, or it may not be active. This depends on the programming set by your hearing care professional.

If your hearing aid is paired with a Bluetooth enabled phone, the push button is used for phone calls:

Accept an incoming call: A short press (less than 2 seconds).

Reject an incoming call: A long press (more than 2 seconds).

End a call: A long press (more than 2 seconds).

If your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 model has a volume control, you can adjust it as follows:

To increase the volume: Turn the volume control forwards (towards your nose).

To decrease the volume: Turn the volume control backwards (towards the back of your head).

The volume control can be disabled by your hearing care professional.

You only need to perform the pairing procedure once with each Bluetooth device. After the initial pairing, your hearing aids will connect automatically, which can take up to 2 minutes.

1. On your device (e.g., a phone), ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and search for Bluetooth enabled devices in the connectivity settings menu.

2. Switch on both PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 hearing aids. You now have 3 minutes to pair them with your device.

3. Select the hearing aid in the list of Bluetooth enabled devices. This will pair both hearing aids simultaneously. A beep will confirm that the pairing was successful.

When your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 hearing aids are paired and connected to a Bluetooth enabled phone, you will hear the caller’s voice directly in your hearing aids. The hearing aids’ microphones will pick up your voice for the caller to hear.

Making a call: Enter the phone number on your phone and press the dial button. You will hear the ring tone through your hearing aids.

Accepting a call: When you receive a call, a notification will be heard in the hearing aids. You can accept the call with a short press (less than 2 seconds) on the hearing aid’s push button or directly on your phone.

Ending a call: You can end a call with a long press (more than 2 seconds) on the hearing aid’s push button or directly on your phone.

Rejecting a call: You can reject an incoming call with a long press (more than 2 seconds) on the hearing aid’s push button or directly on your phone.

Flight mode disables the Bluetooth connectivity functions of your PHONAK VIRTO M90-312 but does not disable normal hearing aid functionality. The hearing aids operate between 2.4 GHz–2.48 GHz frequency range. When flying, check if the flight operator requires devices to be switched into flight mode.

To enter flight mode:

1. Open the battery door on the hearing aid.

2. Hold down the push button for 7 seconds while closing the battery door.

3. Repeat for the other hearing aid.

In flight mode, your hearing aid cannot connect directly to your phone.

To exit flight mode:

1. Open the battery door.

2. Close the battery door again.

General Information:

Before using hair spray or applying cosmetics, you should remove your hearing aid from your ear, because these products may damage it.

Daily Care:

Daily cleaning and the use of a drying system is highly recommended. Never use household cleaning products (washing powder, soap, etc.) to clean your hearing aids. If your hearing aid is performing weakly or fails to operate, clean or replace the wax guard system. If it still fails to operate after cleaning and inserting a new battery, contact your hearing care professional for advice.

The hearing aid models Virto M-Titanium and Virto M-10 NW O are classified IP68 (depth of 1 meter for 60 minutes) and designed to be used in all daily life situations. However, the hearing aid is not intended to be used in water activities that include chlorinated water, soap, salt water, or other liquids with a chemical content.

Humidity (transportation): Up to 90% (non-condensing).

Product Safety:
