To determine if your PHONAK VIRTO M50-312 is for the left or right ear, look for a color marking. The marking is located on the battery door, or the shell may have text printed in red or blue, or the shell itself may be colored.

• A blue marking indicates the left hearing aid.

• A red marking indicates the right hearing aid.

Follow these steps to change the battery:

1. Remove the protective sticker from the new battery and wait two minutes before inserting it.

2. Open the battery door on the hearing aid.

3. Place the new battery into the battery door with the “+” symbol facing upwards.

4. Close the battery door. If it is difficult to close, check that the battery is inserted correctly with the “+” symbol facing up. Forcing the door can cause damage.

When the battery is low, you will hear two beeps. This indicates you have approximately 30 minutes to change the battery.

After the initial pairing, your hearing aids will automatically connect to the device when switched on, which may take up to 2 minutes.

After your hearing aids have been paired to your device, they will automatically connect again when switched on.

• The connection will be maintained as long as the device remains ON and within range.

• Your hearing aids can be paired with up to two devices.

• Your hearing aids can be connected to one device at a time.

When your PHONAK VIRTO M50-312 is paired and connected to your phone, the caller’s voice is streamed directly to your hearing aids, and your voice is picked up by the hearing aid microphones.

• Making a call: Enter the phone number on your phone and press the dial button. You will hear the ring tone through your hearing aids.

• Accepting a call: When you receive a call, you will hear a notification in your hearing aids. You can accept the call with a short press (less than 2 seconds) on the hearing aid’s push button or directly on your phone.

• Ending a call: You can end a call with a long press (more than 2 seconds) on the hearing aid’s push button or directly on your phone.

• Rejecting a call: You can reject an incoming call with a long press (more than 2 seconds) on the hearing aid’s push button or directly on your phone.

Flight mode disables the Bluetooth connectivity functions of your hearing aid without affecting normal hearing aid functionality. Your PHONAK VIRTO M50-312 operates between 2.4 GHz-2.48 GHz, and some flight operators require devices to be in flight mode.
