Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before performing these steps:

1. To remove the back cover of the phone, slide the back cover down, and lift the cover.

2. Remove the battery by lifting it out.

3. Insert the SIM card properly into the holder with the gold contacts facing you.

4. Replace the battery. Insert it and then push down.

5. To replace the back cover, align the top edge of the cover to the back of the phone, then push the cover into place.

Use only compatible microSD cards with your NOKIA 6350. The device can be on or off during this procedure.

1. Remove the back cover.

2. Pull up the plastic strip covering the memory card slot.

3. Insert the card into the memory card holder with the gold-colored contacts facing down.

4. Push down the plastic strip to secure the card.

5. Replace the back cover.

To format a new memory card on your NOKIA 6350, follow these steps:

1. Select Menu > My Stuff > Tones & Graphics.

2. Scroll to the memory card folder.

3. Select Options > Memory card options > Format memory card?.

To charge your NOKIA 6350 using a wall outlet:

1. Connect the charger to a wall outlet.

2. Open the USB connector door on the phone.

3. Connect the charger to the micro USB connector on your phone.

4. When the device indicates the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger from the device, then from the wall outlet.

To charge using a computer:

1. Connect a USB data cable to the USB port of a computer and to your device.

2. When the battery is fully charged, disconnect the USB cable.

To switch your NOKIA 6350 on or off, press and hold the power key. If the phone asks for a PIN or a UPIN code, enter the code (displayed as ****), and select OK.

With the fold open, select Menu or Unlock, and press * within 1.5 seconds to unlock the keypad. Repeat the sequence to lock the keypad. By default, the keypad is locked.

To answer a call when the keyguard is on, press the call key, or open the phone. When you end or reject the call, the keypad automatically locks.

To set the automatic keyguard, select Menu > Settings > Phone settings > Automatic keyguard.

To activate the Offline profile, select Menu > Settings > Set profile, and select Offline. When the Offline profile is active, the connection to the cellular network is closed. Remember to switch off your device when wireless phone use is prohibited.

1. Enter the phone number, including the area code.

2. For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (+), enter the country code, the area code (without the leading 0, if necessary), and the phone number.

3. To call the number, press the call key.

4. To end the call or to cancel the call attempt, press the end key.

First, assign a phone number to a speed-dialing key (2–9). To do this, go to Menu > Address Book > Speed dial list. Call the number in one of the following ways:

• Press a speed-dialing key, then the call key.

• If Speed dialing is set to On, press and hold a speed-dialing key until the call begins.

1. In the standby mode, press and hold the right selection key or press and hold the volume down key. A short tone is played, and “Speak after the tone” is displayed.

2. Say the voice command clearly. If the voice recognition was successful, the phone plays the voice command of the match on the top of the list. If the result is not the correct one, scroll to another entry.

• To answer an incoming call, press the call key, or open the phone.

• To end a call, press the end key, or close the phone.

• To reject an incoming call, press the end key, or close the phone.

• To reject an incoming call when the phone is closed, press and hold a volume key.

• To mute the ringing tone, press a volume key when the phone is closed, or select Silence when the phone is open.

To answer a waiting call during an active call, select Answer. The first call is put on hold. To end the active call, press the end key. To switch back to the first call without ending the second call, select Options > Swap.

1. To access the main menu, select Menu by pressing the center key.

2. To change the menu view, select Options > Main menu view and the desired option.

3. To rearrange the menu, scroll to the menu you want to move, and select Options > Organize > Move. Scroll to where you want to move the menu, and select OK. To save the change, select Done > Yes.

4. Scroll through the menu, and select an option (for example, Call settings).

You can use traditional or predictive text input. An icon at the top of the display indicates the current mode.

• To change character case (Abc, abc, ABC), press #.

• To switch between letter and number mode, press and hold #.

• To set the writing language, select Options > Writing Language.

Traditional Text Input:

To use traditional text input, select Options > Prediction options > Status > Off. Press a number key (1–9) repeatedly until the desired character is displayed. For punctuation and special characters, press the 1 key or press * for more options.

Predictive Text Input:

To use predictive text input, select Options > Prediction options > Status > On.

1. Start entering a word using the 2-9 keys. Press each key only once for each letter.

2. When you finish entering the word and it is correct, press 0 to add a space.

3. If the word is not correct, press * repeatedly to cycle through suggestions.

4. If the word does not appear, you can add it to the dictionary. Select Spell, complete the word using traditional text input, and select Save.

1. Select Menu > Messaging > Create message > Message.

2. To add recipients, scroll to the To: field and enter the number or e-mail address. Alternatively, select Add to choose from your contacts.

3. Scroll to the Text: field and enter your message text.

4. To attach content (like a picture or sound clip), scroll to the attachment bar at the bottom of the display and select the desired type of content. The phone automatically changes a text message to a multimedia message when a file is attached.

5. To send the message, press Send.

• To delete one message: Select Menu > Messaging > Delete messages > By message. Select the folder, scroll to the message you want to delete, and select Delete.

• To delete all messages from a folder: Select Menu > Messaging > Delete messages > By folder. Select the folder and confirm the deletion.

• To delete all messages from all folders: Select Menu > Messaging > Delete messages > All messages > Yes.

To call your voice mailbox, in the standby mode, press and hold 1. Alternatively, you can select Menu > Messaging > Voice mail > Listen to voice mails. To enter, find, or edit your voice mailbox number, select Voice mailbox no..

To connect to the web, in the standby mode, select Menu > Mobile Web, or press the Mobile Web key on the keypad.

• To browse through a page, scroll in any direction using the Navi key.

• To select an item, press the call key, or select Select.

• To enter letters or numbers, press the 0-9 keys. To enter special characters, press *.

Add a new contact:

Select Menu > Address Book > Add new. Fill in the fields and select Save.

Find a contact:

Select Menu > Address Book > Names, and scroll through the list, or enter the first letter of the name to search.

Edit contact details:

1. Find the contact you want to edit and select Details.

2. Scroll to the item you wish to change (name, number, etc.).

3. Select Options > Edit.

Delete a contact:

Find the desired contact, and select Options > Delete contact.

Copy contacts:

To copy a single contact between phone and SIM memory, go to Menu > Address Book > Names, find the contact, and select Options > Copy contact. To move or copy multiple contacts, use the Mark option.

1. Select Menu > My Stuff > Multimedia > Camera > Capture; or press the camera key on the keypad, and select Capture.

2. To zoom in or out, use the volume or navigation keys.

3. The photo is saved in Menu > My Stuff > Tones & Graphics > Images unless you have set the memory card as the default storage.

4. After taking the photo, you can select Send to share it, or Back to take another photo.

To set a self-timer, select Options > Self-timer > Start before capturing the photo.

Select Menu > My Stuff > Multimedia > Video recorder > Record, or press and hold the camera key on the keypad. To pause recording, select Pause; to resume, select Continue. To stop recording, select Stop. The video clip is saved in Menu > My Stuff > Tones & Graphics > Video clips or on the memory card.

1. Select Menu > My Stuff > Multimedia > Media player > Go to Media player. The details of the first song on the default playlist are displayed.

2. To play a song, scroll to the song, and select the play icon.

3. To skip to the beginning of the next song, select the next track icon. To skip to the beginning of the previous song, select the previous track icon once.

4. To rewind the current song, select and hold the previous track icon. To fast forward, select and hold the next track icon.

5. To pause the playback, select the pause icon.

Record sound:

1. Select Menu > My Stuff > Multimedia > Voice recorder.

2. To start recording, select the record icon.

3. To stop recording, select the stop icon. The recording is saved in Menu > My Stuff > Tones & Graphics > Audio.

Record during a call:

During an active call, select Options > Record. All parties will hear a faint beeping sound during the recording.

1. Select Menu > Messaging > Mobile Email.

2. Highlight and select the provider with which you have an e-mail account.

3. Read and accept the terms of use, if presented.

4. Enter your user ID and password. Note that the password is case sensitive.

5. If you wish to have your login information remembered, highlight the checkbox option, and select Mark.

After the account is successfully validated, it appears on the list for you to access.

1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth.

2. Select Bluetooth to activate the function. If it’s the first time, you will be asked to name your phone.

3. To connect to a new device, select Paired devices > Add New Device. The phone will search for Bluetooth devices in range.

4. Select the device you want to connect to, and select Pair.

5. Enter an agreed-upon Bluetooth passcode (up to 16 characters) to associate (pair) the device with your phone. You only need to do this once per device.

Your phone will then connect to the device, and you can start data transfer.

When you connect the CA-101 USB data cable, confirm “USB data cable connected” and select a mode from the following:

• Ask on conn.: to ask which mode to use at connection time.

• PC Suite: to use the phone to access available applications on a PC.

• Printing & Media: to connect the phone to a PC to synchronize it with Windows Media Player (music, video).

• Data storage: to connect to a PC that does not have Nokia software and use the phone as data storage.

To reset some of the menu settings to their original values, select Menu > Settings > Reset device. Then choose one of the following options:

• Restore settings only: Restores preference settings without deleting personal data.

• Restore all: Resets to factory settings and deletes personal information. You will need to enter the security code (default is 12345).

1. Select Menu > My Stuff > Tools > Alarm clock > Alarm time, and enter the alarm time.

2. To change the alarm time when it is already set, select On.

3. To set the phone to alert you on selected days of the week, select Repeat.

4. To set a snooze time-out, select Snooze time-out and the desired time.

5. After making changes, scroll to and select Save.

To access the calendar, select Menu > My Stuff > Tools > Calendar.

• To add a new calendar entry, select Options > Make a note and an entry type.

• To view notes for a specific day, highlight the day and select View.

• To view a week, select Options > Week view.

• To delete all notes in the calendar, select the month or week view and Options > Delete notes > Delete all notes.

Select Menu > My Stuff > Tools > Stopwatch to measure time, take intermediate times, or take lap times. During timing, other functions of the phone can be used. To set the stopwatch timing in the background, press the end key.

1. If the device is not on, switch it on. Check for adequate signal strength.

2. You may need to complete the following:

• Insert a SIM card if your device uses one.

• Remove certain call restrictions you have activated in your device.

• Change your profile from Offline or Flight profile to an active profile.

3. Press the end key as many times as needed to clear the display and ready the device for calls.

4. Enter the official emergency number for your present location. Emergency numbers vary by location.

5. Press the call key.
