Avoid touching the antenna area while the antenna is in use. Contact with antennas affects communication quality and may reduce battery life.

This device is designed to be used with a mini SIM card only. Use of incompatible SIM cards may damage the card or the device, and may corrupt data stored on the card.

Switch the device off and disconnect the charger and any other device before removing any covers. Avoid touching electronic components while changing any covers. Always store and use the device with any covers attached.

1. Put your fingernail in the small slot at the bottom of the phone, lift and remove the cover.

2. If the battery is in the phone, lift it out.

3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM1 slot with the contact area face down. If you have a second SIM, slide it into the SIM2 slot. Both SIM cards are available at the same time when the device is not being used, but while one SIM card is active (e.g., making a call), the other may be unavailable.

4. If you have a memory card, slide it in the memory card slot.

5. Line up the battery contacts, and put the battery in.

6. Put back the back cover.

Press and hold the End/Power key.

Your battery has been partially charged at the factory, but you may need to recharge it before you can use your phone.

1. Plug the charger into a wall outlet.

2. Connect the charger to the phone. When done, unplug the charger from the phone, then from the wall outlet.

If the battery is completely discharged, it may take several minutes before the charging indicator is displayed.

Yes, you can use USB charging when a wall outlet is not available. The efficiency of USB charging power varies significantly, and it may take a long time for charging to start and the device to start functioning. Make sure your computer is switched on.

• To see the apps and features of your phone, on the home screen, select Menu (using the left selection key).

• To go to an app or feature, press the scroll key up, down, left, or right.

• To open the app or feature, press the scroll key.

To avoid accidentally pressing the keys, lock the keypad: select Go to > Lock keypad .

To unlock the keypad, select Unlock .

On the home screen, quickly scroll up twice to switch on the flashlight.

To switch off the flashlight, scroll up once.

Do not shine the light in anyone’s eyes.

• Press a key repeatedly until the letter is shown.

• To type in a space press 0.

• To type in a special character or punctuation mark, select Opt. > Insert options > Insert symbol.

• To switch between character cases, press # repeatedly.

• To type in a number, press and hold a number key.

1. Type in the phone number. To type in the + character, used for international calls, press * twice.

2. Press the call key. If asked, select which SIM to use.

3. To end the call, press the end key.

Press the call key.

If you are in a situation where you cannot answer the phone and you need to silence it quickly, select Silence .

1. Select Menu > Contacts icon > Add contact.

2. Select where you want to save it, on Phone or SIM card.

3. Write the name, and type in the number.

4. Select OK.

1. Select Menu > Call log icon > Missed calls, Received calls, or Dialled numbers depending on from where you want to save the contact.

2. Highlight the number you want to save, select Opt. > Save, and select where you want to save the contact.

3. Add the contact’s name, check that the phone number is correct, and select OK .

When you are in the message field, select Opt. > Dictionary.

2. If asked, select a SIM card.

3. Scroll to a ringtone and select OK.

Tip: To adjust the ringtone volume, select Ringing volume and scroll left or right.

2. If asked, select a SIM card.

3. Scroll to a tone and select OK.

1. Select Menu > Settings icon > Display settings > Wallpaper .

2. Select Default to choose from pre-defined wallpapers, or select Photos to choose a wallpaper from the photos you have taken with the camera.

3. Select the wallpaper, and then the option to position the wallpaper on the screen.

2. Select Show clock to have them visible on the home screen.

Set Auto-update of date and time to On. This setting can be found under Menu > Settings icon > Time settings.

Your phone has different profiles (e.g., silent, outdoor) for different situations.

1. Select Menu > Settings icon > Profiles .

2. Select a profile and Personalise .

For each profile you can set a specific ringtone, ringtone volume, message sounds and so on.

You can add different profiles to the Go to menu for quick access.

On the bottom left of the home screen, you have Go to, which allows quick access to applications and settings.

1. Select Menu > Settings icon > Go to settings .

2. Select Select options .

3. Scroll to a shortcut you want to add to the Go to list and Mark them.

4. Select Done to exit the list, and Yes to save changes.

1. In the ‘Go to settings’ menu (Menu > Settings icon > Go to settings), select Organise .

2. Scroll to an item you want to move and select Move .

3. Select if you want to move it up, down, to top, or to bottom of the list.

4. Select Back to exit the list, and OK to save changes.

2. Select SIM name, and enter a name for your SIM card.

Connect a compatible headset. It acts as an antenna.

1. Select Menu > Radio icon.

2. When the phone asks if you want to search all available channels, select OK.

3. To switch between stations, scroll up or down.

4. To save a found channel, select Opt. > Save channel .

Select Menu > Radio icon. To change the volume, scroll left or right.

While the radio is playing, select Opt. > Loudspeaker. Keep the headset connected as it acts as the antenna.

While the radio is playing, select Stop .

1. Select Menu > Settings icon > Time settings .

2. Switch Auto-update of date and time to Off.

3. To set the time, scroll down, and select Clock > Set the time . Use the scroll key to set the time, and select OK.

4. To set the date, scroll down, and select Date setting. Use the scroll key to set the date, and select OK.

1. Select Menu > Clock icon > Set alarms .

2. Select an alarm.

3. To set the hour, scroll up or down. To set the minutes, scroll right and then up or down.

4. Select OK.

1. Select Menu > Calendar icon.

2. Select a date and Opt. > Add reminder .

3. Type in a name for the event, and select OK.

4. To set an alarm for the reminder, select Alarm on . To set the hour, scroll up or down. To set the minutes, scroll right and then up or down.

5. Select OK.

1. Select Menu > Calculator icon.

2. Enter the first factor of your calculation, use the scroll key to select the operation (add, subtract, multiply, divide), and enter the second factor.

3. Select Equals to get the result of the calculation.

Select Clear to empty the number fields.

When removing private content, pay attention to whether you are removing content from the phone memory or the SIM card.

1. To remove messages, select Menu > Messages icon > Delete messages. Select from the available options the messages you want to delete.

2. To remove contacts, select Menu > Contacts icon > Delete, and select if you want to delete contacts One by one or Delete all .

3. To remove your call info, select Menu > Call log icon > Delete recent call lists, and select All .

4. Check that all your personal content has been removed.

You can restore factory settings. Be careful, however, since you lose all personalization and all data you have added on the phone. If you are disposing your phone, note that you are responsible of removing all private content.

Select Menu > Settings icon > Restore factory set.. There is no more confirmation, but the phone is reset and all data is removed.

Switch the device off when mobile phone use is not allowed or when it may cause interference or danger, for example, in aircraft, in hospitals or near medical equipment, fuel, chemicals, or blasting areas. Obey all instructions in restricted areas.

Also, switch your device off in potentially explosive environments, such as near gasoline pumps. Note restrictions in areas with fuel; chemical plants; or where blasting operations are in progress. Areas with a potentially explosive environment may not be clearly marked. These usually are areas where you are advised to switch your engine off, below deck on boats, chemical transfer or storage facilities, and where the air contains chemicals or particles. Check with the manufacturers of vehicles using liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane) if this device can be safely used in their vicinity.

Obey all local laws. Always keep your hands free to operate the vehicle while driving. Your first consideration while driving should be road safety.

Only authorized personnel may install or repair this product.

Use only batteries, chargers, and other accessories approved by HMD Global Oy for use with this device. Do not connect incompatible products.

To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. Exercise caution when holding your device near your ear while the loudspeaker is in use.

Warning: When you use the headset, your ability to hear outside sounds may be affected. Do not use the headset where it can endanger your safety.

• Switch the phone on.

• If the phone screen and keys are locked, unlock them.

• Move to a place with adequate signal strength.

Important: Connections in all conditions cannot be guaranteed. Never rely solely on any wireless phone for essential communications like medical emergencies.

1. Press the end key repeatedly, until the home screen is shown.

2. Type in the official emergency number for your present location. Emergency call numbers vary by location.

3. Press the call key.

4. Give the necessary info as accurately as possible. Do not end the call until given permission to do so.

You may also need to do the following:

• Put a SIM card in the phone.

• If your phone asks for a PIN code, type in the official emergency number for your present location, and press the call key.

• Switch the call restrictions off in your phone, such as call barring, fixed dialling, or closed user group.

Handle your device, battery, charger and accessories with care. The following suggestions help you keep your device operational:

• Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that corrode electronic circuits.

• Do not use or store the device in dusty or dirty areas.

• Do not store the device in high temperatures. High temperatures may damage the device or battery.

• Do not store the device in cold temperatures. When the device warms to its normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device and damage it.

• Do not open the device other than as instructed in the user guide.

• Unauthorized modifications may damage the device and violate regulations governing radio devices.

• Do not drop, knock, or shake the device or the battery. Rough handling can break it.

• Only use a soft, clean, dry cloth to clean the surface of the device.

• Do not paint the device. Paint can prevent proper operation.

• Keep the device away from magnets or magnetic fields.

• To keep your important data safe, store it in at least two separate places, such as your device, memory card, or computer, or write down important info.

During extended operation, the device may feel warm. In most cases, this is normal. To avoid getting too warm, the device may automatically slow down, close apps, switch off charging, and if necessary, switch itself off.

If the device is not working properly, take it to the nearest authorized service facility.

Always return your used electronic products, batteries, and packaging materials to dedicated collection points. This way you help prevent uncontrolled waste disposal and promote the recycling of materials. Electrical and electronic products contain valuable materials, including metals (copper, aluminum, steel, magnesium) and precious metals (gold, silver, palladium). All materials can be recovered as materials and energy. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicates that products and batteries should be taken to separate collection at the end of their working life. Do not dispose of these as unsorted municipal waste. Check with your local waste authority for your nearest recycling point.

To unplug a charger or an accessory, hold and pull the plug, not the cord.

When your charger is not in use, unplug it. If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time.

Always keep the battery between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C) for optimal performance. Extreme temperatures reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. A device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily.

Accidental short-circuiting can happen when a metallic object touches the metal strips on the battery. This may damage the battery or the other object.

Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Obey local regulations. Recycle when possible. Do not dispose as household waste.

If a battery leaks, do not let liquid touch skin or eyes. If this happens, immediately flush the affected areas with water, or seek medical help.

Do not dismantle, cut, crush, bend, puncture, or otherwise damage the battery in any way. Do not modify, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, or immerse or expose it to water or other liquids. Batteries may explode if damaged.

Use the battery and charger for their intended purposes only. Improper use, or use of unapproved or incompatible batteries or chargers may present a risk of fire, explosion, or other hazard, and may invalidate any approval or warranty.

If you believe the battery or charger is damaged, take it to a service centre or your phone dealer before continuing to use it. Never use a damaged battery or charger.

No, do not charge your device during a lightning storm. Only use the charger indoors.

Your device and its accessories are not toys. They may contain small parts. Keep them out of the reach of small children.

Operation of radio transmitting equipment, including wireless phones, may interfere with inadequately shielded medical devices’ function. Consult a physician or the medical device’s manufacturer to determine if it is adequately shielded from external radio energy.

To avoid potential interference, manufacturers of implanted medical devices recommend a minimum separation of 15.3 centimeters (6 inches) between a wireless device and the medical device. Persons who have such devices should:

• Always keep the wireless device more than 15.3 centimeters (6 inches) from the medical device.

• Not carry the wireless device in a breast pocket.

• Hold the wireless device to the ear opposite the medical device.

• Switch the wireless device off if there is any reason to suspect that interference is taking place.

• Follow the manufacturer directions for the implanted medical device.

If you have any questions about using your wireless device with an implanted medical device, consult your health care provider.

Some wireless devices may interfere with some hearing aids.

Your device may be exposed to viruses and other harmful content. Take the following precautions:

• Be cautious when opening messages. They may contain malicious software or otherwise be harmful to your device or computer.

• Be cautious when accepting connectivity requests, browsing the internet, or downloading content. Do not accept Bluetooth connections from sources you do not trust.

• Only install and use services and software from sources that you trust and that offer adequate security and protection.

• Install antivirus and other security software on your device and any connected computer. Only use one antivirus app at a time. Using more may affect performance and operation.

Radio signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic systems in vehicles. For more info, check with the manufacturer of your vehicle or its equipment.

Only authorized personnel should install the device in a vehicle. Faulty installation may be dangerous and invalidate your warranty.

Check regularly that all wireless device equipment in your vehicle is mounted and operating properly.

Do not store or carry flammable or explosive materials in the same compartment as the device, its parts, or accessories. Do not place your device or accessories in the air bag deployment area.
