How do I prepare the area before assembling the TV?
Before you get started, spread cushioning flat on a surface to lay the TV on. This will help to prevent damage.
How do I assemble the TV stands?
a. Attach stands to the base of the TV, ensuring the ‘L’ and ‘R’ markings on the TV and stands match.
b. Insert two 20mm screws for each stand and use a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten.
How do I install the batteries in the remote control?
a. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side of the remote.
b. Insert two 1.5V AAA size batteries, making sure to match the polarity markings (+/-) of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment. The PDF suggests using Lithium AAA Batteries for the Remote.
c. Replace the battery compartment cover.
How do I connect an antenna to the TV?
a. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the ‘ANT’ input port at the back of the TV.
b. Ensure the antenna cable is also connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket in your home or directly.
How do I turn the TV on and off?
Turning TV on: Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet, then press the POWER button on the remote control, making sure to aim it at the sensor at the front of the TV. Alternatively, you can press the power button on the lower side of the back panel on the TV.
Turning TV off: Press the POWER button on the remote control to enter standby mode. To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Do not leave your set in standby mode for long periods of time. If you will not use the TV for a long time, it is recommended to unplug the set from both the power outlet and aerial.
What are the steps for the first-time setup?
When turning the TV on for the first time, the Welcome screen will appear. Use the arrow and OK buttons to navigate the following options:
Language: Select your menu language.
Select TV mode: The ‘home mode’ is optimised for efficient usage for home use. The ‘retail mode’ is optimised for store demo with fixed settings.
Select your Wi-Fi network: The TV will automatically scan for wireless networks nearby. Ensure the TV is within range of your wireless modem or router, and have your password handy. Follow the prompts to input your password and connect your TV to your selected network. If you’d prefer to use an ethernet cable, insert the cable (not supplied) to the LAN input port at the back of the TV and ensure that it is correctly connected to the internet.
Use your Google Account: In your Google account, you get movies and TV shows from your favourite streaming apps, personalised recommendations, Google Assistant, search and control your TV with your voice, live TV, external devices, and basic TV.
Terms of Service: To accept the Google Terms of Service to improve the product experience, select “Accept” to proceed with this condition.
Search across all your TV apps: Allow it to share your requests with your TV’s apps. Without this permission, Google Assistant may not be able to find all the content from your TV’s apps.
Region or Country select: Use the arrow buttons to select your region or country, then press OK to confirm.
Remote & accessories: Your Google TV remote control has Bluetooth capabilities. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the remote with the TV. This will allow you to use voice commands with your remote via the Google Assistant button.
How do I set up TV channels after the initial setup?
Following the initial setup options, the Auto Tuning screen will appear. Ensure you have an antenna cable connected to the ‘ANT’ input port at the back of the TV. The auto-tuning function will search for and save all available free-to-air TV channels. After confirming your settings, the process will automatically begin. The number of searched channels will be displayed on the screen. When setup is complete, you will be able to access the Home page.
How do I enable the eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function?
If you want to use the eARC function, set the EDID version to EDID version 2.1 (Settings-> Channels & Inputs->Inputs->select HDMI port-> HDMI EDID Version).
In addition, the eARC switch needs to be turned on (Settings-> Display and Sound -> Sound->eARC).
What are the main features of the Homepage?
1 Dashboard: Contains user account, settings page, input source list, weather panel, image settings, notifications, etc.
2 Text search: Enter text manually to search TV apps.
3 For you: Displays Application recommendation, new episodes of the daily courtroom spin-off, resume, top picks for you, your apps.
4 Live: The content of the TV channel recommended by Google.
5 Notification: Advertising, New Arrivals, Warnings and Legal Statements, and System Messages.
6 Apps: Access the App Centre to display all installed apps. Free-to-air channels can be accessed under the “Live TV” option.
7 Library: View records, manage watch list.
Note: The layout and functions of the home page will change dynamically with the version of the launcher. All pictures in the quick start guide are for reference only.
How do I access the TV’s settings?
Global settings: To access the global settings menu, under the Home interface, press the > key until the Dashboard menu appears, then press the arrow keys to move to the Settings icon. Here you will find all of the adjustable options for Google TV’s interface, connectivity, and apps.
Quick Menu: Options for your Live TV (channel scan, channel edit, picture, screen, sound, etc.) can be accessed by pressing the Quick Menu button on your remote control. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the submenus.
What should I do for poor picture and sound quality?
Try a different channel.
Adjust the antenna.
Check all connections.
What should I do if there is no picture or sound?
Try another channel.
Press the TV/AV button.
Make sure the TV is plugged in.
Check the antenna connection.
What if there is no sound or the sound is too low at maximum volume?

Make sure the program itself is broadcast in colour.

Check all connections.
What should I do for a blurred, snowy picture or distorted sound?
Check the direction, location and connections to your antenna.
Issues may be caused by the use of an indoor antenna (poor signal).
What should I do if the remote control is not working?
Replace remote control batteries.
Check battery terminals.
The remote is out of range, move closer to the TV.
Remove any obstructions between the remote and IR sensor of the TV.
Make sure the power cord to your TV is plugged in and turned on.
What if the image is not centred on the screen?
Adjust the horizontal and vertical position.
What does a “No Signal” message on an HDMI source mean and how do I fix it?
Test the device with a different HDMI cable.
Plug the device into another HDMI port.
