What are the functions of the remote control buttons?

Power: Press to enter or exit standby mode.

Source: Displays the list of input source channels.

Number buttons: Select channels or input passwords.

Quick Menu: Display TV options with optional, adjustable settings.

SUBT (Subtitles): Select subtitles.

Account: Switch account.

Google Assistant: Launch the built-in virtual assistant for voice commands.

Direction buttons (^/v/): For navigating menus and settings.

Dashboard: Contains user account, settings page, input source list, weather panel, image settings, notifications, etc.

Back: Return to the previous menu.

OK (Enter): Select the current item or confirm selection, display channel list in DTV mode.

Home: Access the home page.

Electronic Program Guide: DTV mode.

Mute: Toggle sound on/off.

Volume (+/-): Adjust the volume up or down.

Program (^P v): Scroll channels.

NETFLIX: Open app homepage.

How do I assemble the TV stand?

Before you get started, spread cushioning flat to lay the TV on. This will help to prevent damage.

1. Attach stands to the base of the TV, ensuring ‘L’ and ‘R’ markings on the TV and stands match.

2. Insert two 16 mm screws for each stand and use a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten.


How do I assemble the remote control?

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side.

2. Insert two 1.5V AAA size batteries, making sure to match the polarity markings (+/-) of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment. Please use Lithium AAA Batteries for the Remote.

3. Replace the battery compartment cover.


How do I connect the TV to an antenna?

1. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the ‘ANT’ input port at the back of the TV.

2. Ensure the antenna cable is also connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket in your home, or directly.


How do I turn the TV on and off?

Turning TV On:

Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet, then press the POWER button on the remote control, making sure to aim it at the sensor at the front of the TV. Alternatively, you can press the power button on the lower side of the back panel on the TV.

Turning TV Off:

Press the POWER button on the remote control to enter standby mode. To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Do not leave your set in standby mode for long periods of time. If you will not use the TV for a long time, it is recommended to unplug the set from both the power outlet and aerial.


How do I perform the first-time setup?

When turning the TV on for the first time, the Welcome screen will appear. Use the ▲, ▼, and OK buttons to navigate the following options:

1. Language: Select your menu language.

2. Select TV mode: The ‘home mode’ is optimised for efficient usage for home use. The ‘retail mode’ is optimised for store demo with fixed settings.

3. Select your Wi-Fi network: Your Google TV will automatically scan for wireless networks nearby. Ensure the TV is within range of your wireless modem or router, and have your password handy. Follow the prompts to input your password and connect your TV to your selected network. If you’d prefer to use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet, insert the cable (not supplied) to the LAN input port at the back of the TV and ensure that it is correctly connected to the internet.

4. Use your Google Account: In your Google account, you get movies and TV shows from your favourite streaming apps, personalised recommendations, Google Assistant, search and control your TV with your voice, live TV, external devices, and basic TV.

5. Terms of Service: To accept the Google Terms of Service to improve the product experience, select “Accept” to proceed with this condition.

6. Search across all your TV apps: Allow it to share your requests with your TV’s apps. Without this permission, Google Assistant may not be able to find all the content from your TV’s apps.

7. Region or Country select: Use ▲/▼ buttons to select your region or country, then press OK to confirm.

8. Remote & accessories: Your Google TV remote control has Bluetooth capabilities. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the remote with the TV. This will allow you to use voice commands with your remote via the Google Assistant button.

Following these options, the Auto Tuning screen will appear. The auto tuning function will search for and save all available free-to-air TV channels. When setup is complete, you will be able to access the Home page.


How do I set up the eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function?

If you want to use the eARC function, you need to perform two steps:

1. Set the EDID version to EDID version 2.1. Navigate to: Settings -> Channels & Inputs -> Inputs -> select HDMI port -> HDMI EDID Version.

2. Turn on the eARC switch. Navigate to: Settings -> Display and Sound -> Sound -> eARC.


What are the main features of the Homepage?

1. Dashboard: Contains user account, settings page, input source list, weather panel, image settings, notifications, etc.

2. Text search: Enter text manually to search TV apps.

3. For you: Displays Application recommendation, new episodes, resume, top picks for you, and your apps.

4. Live: The content of the TV channel recommended by Google.

5. Notification: Advertising, New Arrivals, Warnings and Legal Statements, and System Messages.

6. Apps: Access the App Centre to display all installed apps. Free-to-air channels can be accessed under the “Live TV” option.

7. Library: View records, manage watch list.

Note: The layout and functions of the home page will change dynamically with the version of the launcher. All pictures in the quick start guide are for reference only.


How do I access the Global Settings menu?

To access the global settings menu, under the Home interface, press the > key until the Dashboard menu appears, then press the arrow keys to move to the Settings icon. Here you will find all of the adjustable options for Google TV’s interface, connectivity, and apps.


How do I access the Quick Menu for Live TV?

Options for your Live TV (channel scan, channel edit, picture, screen, sound, etc.) can be accessed by pressing the Quick Menu button on your remote control. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the submenus.


What should I do if I have poor picture and sound quality?

• Try a different channel.

• Adjust the antenna.

• Check all connections.


What can I do if there is no picture or sound?

• Try another channel.

• Press the TV/AV button.

• Make sure the TV is plugged in.

• Check the antenna connection.


Why is there no sound or the sound is too low at maximum volume?

• Check the volume settings on any external speakers connected to your television.

• Adjust the TV volume accordingly.

• Check another channel or input.

• Check that MUTE hasn’t been turned on.


How do I fix issues with no colour, wrong colour, or tints?

• Make sure the program itself is broadcast in colour.

• Select the picture menu, then adjust the HUE and Colour Tuner.


What should I do if the picture rolls vertically?

• Check all connections.


How can I resolve a blurred or snowy picture and distorted sound?

• Check the direction, location and connections to your antenna.

• Issues may be caused by the use of an indoor antenna (poor signal).


What should I do if the remote control malfunctions?

• Replace remote control batteries.

• Check battery terminals.

• Remote is out of range, move closer to the TV.

• Remove any obstructions between the remote and IR sensor of the TV.

• Make sure the power cord to your TV is plugged in and turned on.


What should I do if the image is not centred on the screen?

• Adjust the horizontal and vertical position.


What does “No Signal” on an HDMI source mean and how do I fix it?

• Test the device with a different HDMI cable.

• Plug the device into another HDMI port.

• Try a different device connected to the same cable and port.

• Perform a factory reset on your TV.
