The JBL BAR 500MK2 box includes the following items:

To wall mount your JBL BAR 500MK2 soundbar, follow these steps:

1. Place the supplied wall mounting template on the wall. Use a level to ensure it is straight.

2. Mark the screw hole locations and drill the holes. Insert the anchors if needed. Screw in the mounting screws, leaving a small gap between the screw head and the wall. The distance between the mounting holes should be 600mm (23.6″). The recommended screw dimensions are: head diameter ≤8mm (0.31″), shank diameter 4mm (0.16″), and length ≥30mm (1.18″).

3. Fasten the L-shaped wall mount brackets to the bottom of the soundbar.

4. Hang the soundbar on the screws you have installed in the wall.

To connect your JBL BAR 500MK2 to a TV with an HDMI eARC port, use the included HDMI cable. Connect one end of the cable to the “HDMI OUT (TV ARC/ TV eARC)” port on the back of the soundbar and the other end to the “HDMI eARC” port on your TV. This connection allows audio from your TV and any connected devices to be sent to the soundbar. You can also connect an external device, such as a gaming console or Blu-ray player, to the “HDMI IN” port on the soundbar.

To connect your JBL BAR 500MK2 to a TV with an HDMI ARC port, use an HDMI cable. Connect one end of the cable to the “HDMI OUT (TV ARC/ TV eARC)” port on the back of the soundbar and the other end to the “HDMI ARC” port on your TV. If you have an external device, connect it directly to the “HDMI IN” port on the soundbar.

To power on the JBL BAR 500MK2, connect the supplied power cords to the back of the soundbar and the subwoofer. Then, plug both power cords into AC outlets. The soundbar and subwoofer will connect automatically.

The sound calibration feature optimizes the sound quality for your specific room environment. Follow these steps to perform a calibration:

1. Ensure the soundbar and subwoofer are placed in their final positions in your room.

2. On the remote control, press and hold the “CALIBR” button. The soundbar will display “CALIBRATION”.

3. Press the button again to confirm and start the calibration process. The soundbar will play a series of tones to measure the room’s acoustics.

4. Once the process is complete, the soundbar will display “DONE”.

To set up your JBL BAR 500MK2 and access additional features, use the JBL ONE app:

1. Connect your Android™ or iOS device to your home Wi-Fi network.

2. Download the JBL ONE app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

3. Follow the instructions within the app to complete the speaker setup.

How to activate wireless network connections:

• Switch into wireless mode (Bluetooth, Google Cast™, AirPlay casting audio & etc).

• The product will enter networked standby after 10 minutes of inactivity, after which it can be re-activated via a Wi-Fi connection with energy-using products (e.g. players, mobile phone, etc).

How to deactivate wireless network connections:

• Hold the HDMI button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds first.

• Then hold the Power button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds.
