When using your INSE S170 electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed:

General Use:

• Do not use near open flames or store near heat sources.

• Do not pick up water, liquids, or flammable liquids.

• Do not pick up burning or sharp objects like matches, hot ashes, glass, or screws.

• Do not put hands near the brush bar when the machine is in use.

• Do not place the appliance on or near a cooker.

• Do not use if any openings are blocked.

• Do not store in direct sunlight or in high humidity conditions.

• Do not use this appliance outdoors or with wet hands.

• Only use parts, accessories, and adaptors supplied with the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended domestic use. Do not use for commercial purposes.

• Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or shows visible signs of damage.

• Switch off and disconnect from the mains power supply before changing accessories or performing maintenance.

• Ensure the appliance has cooled fully before cleaning.

• Take care when using accessories with rotating parts to avoid entrapment.

• This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with it.

Power & Electrical:

• Only use the provided power adapter.

• Do not use the adaptor to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

• Do not remove the adaptor from the power supply by pulling the cord; switch off and remove the plug by hand.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

• Use of an extension power cord is not allowed.

• Check that the voltage on the rating plate matches your power supply.

Please follow these safety guidelines for the INSE S170’s 25.2V 2200mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery:

• If the battery pack leaks, do not allow any liquid to contact skin or eyes. If contact occurs, wash the area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.

• Keep the battery pack out of reach of children.

• Secondary battery packs need to be charged before use. After long periods of storage, you may need to charge and discharge them several times for maximum performance.

• Do not leave battery packs on charge for prolonged periods.

• Only use the charger specifically provided for use with the INSE S170.

• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

• Do not store the battery above 60°C. Avoid storing in direct sunlight.

• Do not use any battery packs not designed for use with the product.

• Do not dispose of the battery pack in a fire.

• Do not crush, puncture, dismantle, or otherwise damage the battery pack.

• Do not expose the battery pack to heat or fire as it may explode, or subject it to mechanical shock.

• To dispose of the exhausted battery pack, take it to a local recycling station. Do not dispose of it in household waste.

Read all safety warnings and instructions for your INSE S170. Failure to follow them may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

1. Prevent unintentional starting by ensuring the switch is in the off-position before connecting the battery pack, picking up, or carrying the appliance.

2. Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing it to reduce the risk of accidental starting.

3. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. Using another charger may create a risk of fire.

4. Use the appliance only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.

5. When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects (like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws) that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals may cause burns or a fire.

6. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

7. Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion, or risk of injury.

8. Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperatures above 130°C (265°F) may cause an explosion.

9. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside the specified temperature range. Charging improperly may damage the battery and increase fire risk.

10. Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts to ensure product safety.

11. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or battery pack except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

The INSE S170 comes with the following accessories (actual accessories may vary by market):

• Motorized Cleaner Head: Connects to the metal tube for daily cleaning on floors or carpets, or directly to the main motor for cleaning areas like a car trunk.

• Stiff Roller Brush: Installs into the cleaner head. Ideal for both hard floors and carpets.

• Retractable Metal Tube: Connects the main motor to the cleaner head or other accessories.

• Long Crevice Tool: For corners and other hard-to-reach places. Can be connected to the metal tube to clean high areas like spider webs on the ceiling.

• 2-in-1 Brush: Can be switched between a brush and a wide crevice tool. Suitable for fabric surfaces and corners.

• 2-in-1 Cleaning Gadget: Features a blade end to cut hair wrapped around the roller brush and a brush end to clean dirt inside the dustbin, strainer, or cleaner head.

• Main Motor: The main body of the vacuum.

• Battery Pack: Powers the vacuum.

• Filters: Includes a Metal Filter, HEPA filter (installed in motor), and Pre-Filter (installed in dustbin).

• Power Adaptor: For charging the battery.

• Wall Bracket: For storing the vacuum.

The INSE S170 vacuum cleaner consists of the following main components:

The Key Function Board on the handle includes a Lock key, Gear indicator lamp, and Speed regulation key.

Connecting the Cleaner Head and Metal Tube:

Insert the metal tube end into the cleaner head port until you hear a click. To remove it, press the metal tube release button with one hand, hold the tube with the other, and pull it out.

Connecting the Metal Tube and Main Motor:

Insert the metal tube end into the suction port of the main motor until you hear a click. To remove it, press the main motor release button with one hand, hold the main motor with the other, and pull the handle to remove the main motor from the tube.

The INSE S170 can be conveniently stored by hanging the whole machine onto the included wall bracket. This helps to keep the vacuum and its accessories organized and saves space.

1. Preparation: Before first use, it’s suggested to charge the battery for 5-6 hours to ensure utmost performance. Check that the battery power is sufficient. Choose the appropriate attachment for the cleaning area/surface.

2. Start to Work: Press the power switch (2-1) to turn the vacuum on. Press the switch a second time to turn it off.

This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces, and do not immerse in water.

To change the power mode on your INSE S170, press the speed regulation button (2-2) on the handle. This will switch the power between MIN, MID, and MAX modes to suit different cleaning tasks.

The INSE S170 features a continuous power mode using a lock function. To activate it:

1. Press the power switch to turn on the vacuum.

2. Push the lock button (2-3) and then release the power switch.

3. The vacuum will continue to work without you needing to hold the power switch.

To turn the vacuum off, push the lock button again. Pushing the button again will also invalidate the lock function.

After turning off the INSE S170, hold it over a dustbin and press the dust cup open button. This will release the dustbin cover, allowing you to dump the dirt. Afterwards, close the cover firmly until you hear a click.

For safety, the battery is shipped with a 30% charge. Please fully charge it before first use. A full charge from a flat status takes about 4.5 hours. There are two ways to charge the INSE S170 battery:

Way 1: Charge while in the main motor

Insert the battery pack into the main motor. Insert the power plug into the battery pack and connect the power adaptor to the power supply.

Way 2: Charge the battery separately

Remove the battery from the main motor. Insert the power plug directly into the detached battery pack and connect the power adaptor to the power supply.

The white indicator lights on the INSE S170 show the remaining battery power while the vacuum is in use:

• Three solid white lights: Full power.

• Two solid white lights: Medium power.

• One solid white light: Low power.

• One blinking white light: Lower than 10% of total power, needs a recharge.

When the INSE S170 battery is charging, the indicator lights will display the following status:

• Three white lights blinking successively: The battery is charging.

• Three steady lights: Charging is complete.

Please note the following for your INSE S170:

• The machine cannot be turned on while it is charging.

• Only charge the battery with the adaptor (30V) provided by INSE.

• If you won’t use the battery for a long time, store it in a cool, dry place. Ensure it is half charged (2 glowing indicator lights).

• If you need an additional battery, please purchase it from an authorized distributor of INSE.

Error Alarms:

• Brush motor overcurrent/short circuit protection: The machine stops, and LED1, LED2, LED3 flash as running lights at 3Hz. They turn off after 5 seconds, and all keys are disabled during the alarm.

• Vacuum motor overcurrent/short circuit protection or blocking: The machine stops, and LED1, LED2, and LED3 will blink synchronously at 3Hz. They turn off after 5 seconds, and all keys are disabled during the alarm.

• Abnormal battery pack: LED1 blinks at 3Hz synchronously. Other lights are off and will turn off after 5 seconds. This can happen, for example, if the cell temperature is higher than 70±3°C. All keys are disabled during the alarm.

• Charger Voltage Issues: When the charger voltage is higher than 31.5V, charging stops, and LED1, LED2, LED3 lights run like a horse light before shutting down after 5 seconds.

Please note that any posted runtime is the time when the machine runs without attaching to any surface and cleaning debris. The actual runtime of your INSE S170 will vary based on the power mode selected, battery capacity, the attachment being used, the amount of debris, and the cleaning area/surface.

To maintain the main motor of your INSE S170:

• Please turn off the vacuum before cleaning.

• Wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid letting water get into the inner part of the vacuum.

• Do not place the vacuum under direct sunlight or in wet places after cleaning.

Important: The dustbin and the cleaner head cannot be washed with water. Otherwise, the motors will be damaged.

1. On the underside of the cleaner head, unlock the side lock.

2. Remove the side cover and take out the roller brush.

3. Use the 2-in-1 cleaning gadget’s blade to cut and remove any tangled hair or debris from the roller brush.

IMPORTANT: Regularly check and clean the High-efficiency filter/HEPA. Clean the filter if suction performance declines. Replace the filter/HEPA if it’s broken or cannot maintain suction. Do not bend or squeeze the HEPA.

Step-by-step cleaning:

1. Hold the main motor and press the button to open the dust bin cover.

2. Rotate the strainer and filter assembly to unlock, then take them out one by one.

3. If they are too dirty, you can wash the metal filter and the black mesh with cool water. Clean the HEPA filter with the included cleaning brush.

4. Ensure the strainer and the black mesh are completely dry before refitting them into the vacuum.

If your INSE S170 stops working or fails to turn on, check for the following possible causes and solutions:

• Cause: Low battery or no battery power.

• Solution: Charge the battery.

• Cause: There is a blockage.

• Solution: Remove the blockage. Check the metal tube and filters for any obstructions.

• Cause: The roller brush is tangled by hair.

• Solution: Clean the roller brush and also remove the side covers to remove the tangled hair.

If the roller brush on your INSE S170 stops spinning, it is likely tangled with hair or debris. To fix this, clean the roller brush and also remove the side covers to clear any tangled hair that may be preventing it from spinning freely.

If you experience weak suction power with your INSE S170, please check the following:

1. Dustbin and Filters: The dustbin, strainer, or filter may be full of dust. Clean them thoroughly. Replace the filter if necessary.

2. Filter Installation: Ensure the strainer and filter are installed correctly.

3. Blockage: There may be a blockage in the cleaner head, tube, or main motor inlet. Check for and remove any blockages.

4. Roller Brush: The roller brush may be tangled with hair. Clean the roller brush.

An abnormal motor sound from your INSE S170 typically indicates that there is a blockage somewhere in the vacuum’s airflow path. Turn off the machine and check the cleaner head, metal tube, and filters for any obstructions. Removing the blockage should resolve the issue.

If the battery for your INSE S170 will not charge, please try the following solutions:

1. Check the Adaptor: Ensure you are using the correct adaptor that was provided with your INSE vacuum.

2. Check the Connection: The connection between the power cord and the battery may be loose. Make sure the power cord is plugged tightly into the battery pack and the wall outlet.
