You can change the navigation method on your HONOR X6c NIC-LX3 using the Navigation Dock, Gestures, or Three-key Navigation.

Use the Navigation Dock:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation, and enable Navigation Dock.

2. Once the dock button appears, you can:

– Drag the button to your desired position.

– Touch the button to go back.

– Touch and hold the button, then release it to go back to the home screen.

– Touch and hold the button, then swipe left or right to view recent tasks.

Use Gestures:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and select Gestures.

2. You can then perform the following actions:

– Return to the parent menu: Swipe inward from the left or right edge of the screen.

– Return to the home screen: Swipe up from the middle of the bottom edge of the screen.

– Access multitasking: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and pause.

– Close a task: In the multitasking interface, swipe up on a task card.

Use Three-key Navigation:

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > System navigation and select Three keys.

2. After enabling Three-key Navigation, you can:

– Tap the back key to go to the previous page or quit an app.

– Tap the home key to return to the home screen.

– Tap the recent tasks key to enter the “Recent tasks” page.

– You can also choose a combination of different navigation keys.

You can use the Device Clone feature to move basic data like contacts, calendar, images, and videos from your old phone to your new HONOR X6c NIC-LX3.

1. On your new HONOR X6c NIC-LX3, open the Device Clone app. Alternatively, go to Settings > System & updates > Device Clone, touch This is the new device, then select the old device type.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install Device Clone on your old device.

3. On your old device, open the Device Clone app and touch This is the old device. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your old device with your new phone by scanning a code or connecting manually.

4. On your old device, select the data you want to clone, then touch Next > Transfer to start cloning.

Note: Device Clone is available on phones running Android 7.0 or later, and iOS 8.0 or later.

Lock the Screen

If you do not operate the phone for a period of time, the screen will lock automatically. You can also manually lock it in the following ways:

– Press the power button.

– Use the Screen Lock tool. To add it, pinch two fingers on the home screen, tap Cards > Classic widgets > Widgets, and add Screen Lock to the home screen.

To set the screen timeout period, go to Settings > Display & brightness > Sleep and select a duration.

Turn On (Wake) the Screen

You can turn on the screen in any of the following ways:

– Press the Power button.

– Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Screen On/Off, and enable Raise to wake or Double-tap to wake.

Unlock the Screen

– With Password: Once the screen is on, swipe up from the middle to display the password input panel and enter your lock screen password.

– With Face Unlock: Turn on the screen and align it with your face. The phone will unlock once your face is recognized.

– With Fingerprint: Press an enrolled finger against the fingerprint sensor to unlock your phone.

Open System Manager, then touch Data usage to view and manage network access.

View and Manage High Data-consuming Apps

1. In the “Data usage this month” interface, you can see the ranking of data used by each application.

2. Tap a high data-consuming app to restrict its use of mobile data, roaming data, etc.

Enable or Disable Smart Data Saver

This feature prevents apps from using mobile data in the background.

1. On the Data usage screen, touch Smart Data Saver and enable it.

2. If you want to allow unrestricted data access for some apps, toggle on the switches for those apps.

Add Mobile Data Usage Reminders

1. On the Data usage page, tap More data settings > Monthly data limit, and set according to the on-screen instructions.

2. On the More data settings page, tap Usage reminders to set reminders or automatically cut off internet access when the limit is exceeded.

You can share your mobile data or Wi-Fi network connection using a Personal Hotspot, Bluetooth, or USB.

Share via Personal Hotspot

1. Go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot, and enable Personal hotspot.

2. You can also set the Device name, Password, and view connected devices from this screen.

Share via Bluetooth

1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth, and pair with the other device.

2. Go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More, and enable Bluetooth tethering.

3. On the paired device’s Bluetooth settings, enable Internet access for your phone.

Share via USB

1. Use a USB cable to connect your phone to a computer.

2. On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More, and enable USB tethering.

If your HONOR X6c NIC-LX3 has two SIM cards inserted, you can configure the default SIMs and call forwarding.

Set Default SIM Cards

Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management and set SIM 1 or SIM 2 as the default for mobile data or calls.

Enable Call Forwarding Between SIMs

This feature forwards calls to your other SIM if one is unreachable. This requires carrier support.

1. Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management > Call forwarding between SIMs.

2. Select a call forwarding mode and turn on the switch.

Quickly Switch Default Mobile Data SIM

1. Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center.

2. Touch the text under the SIM data icon until a prompt is displayed, then select a SIM card and touch OK.

Name Your SIM Card

Go to Settings > Mobile network > SIM management, and touch the edit icon to change the SIM card name for easier identification (e.g., “Work” and “Personal”).

Connect with a Password

1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi.

2. Tap a Wi-Fi network under AVAILABLE NETWORKS. If the network is encrypted, you will need to enter the password.

3. Alternatively, you can pull down to the bottom of the menu, tap Add network, and follow the prompts to enter the network name and password.

Connect by Scanning a QR Code

1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi.

2. On the phone that is already sharing the network, go to its Wi-Fi settings, tap the connected network, and get the QR code.

3. On your HONOR X6c NIC-LX3, scan the QR code and follow the prompts to access the network.

The status icons on your HONOR X6c NIC-LX3 provide information about your phone’s status. Note that icons may vary by region and carrier.

Power On

Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until your device vibrates and displays the logo.

Power Off

Press and hold the Power and Volume up button, then touch Power off and Touch to power off.

Restart

Press and hold the Power and Volume up button, then touch Restart and Touch to restart.

Forcefully Restart

If your phone is not working or turning off normally, press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons for more than 10 seconds to force a restart.

You can check the battery level from the battery icon on your phone screen.

HONOR Share is a wireless sharing technology that lets you quickly transfer files between devices.

Enable or Disable HONOR Share

– Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center, then turn HONOR Share on or off.

– Go to Settings > More connections > HONOR Share to enable or disable it.

Share Files Between Phones

1. On the receiving device, enable HONOR Share.

2. On the sending device, touch and hold a file or album to select it, tap the share icon, tap HONOR Share, then tap the name of the receiving device.

3. On the receiving device, tap ACCEPT to begin the transfer.

Share Files Between Your Phone and Computer

1. Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the PC.

2. Turn on HONOR Share on your phone.

3. Turn on HONOR PC Manager > HONOR Share on your PC and confirm that discovery is enabled.

4. To share from phone to PC: Long press the file on your phone, tap share, select HONOR Share, and tap the PC’s name.

5. To share from PC to phone: Right-click the file on your PC, select Display more options > HONOR Share, and select your phone to receive the file.

Launch the Camera

– From the home screen, open the Camera app.

– From the lock screen, turn on the screen, then swipe up on the camera icon in the lower right corner.

Basic Photo Taking

1. Open Camera.

2. Focus: Tap the screen where you want to focus.

3. Adjust brightness: Tap the screen and swipe the sun icon up or down.

4. Zoom: Pinch with two fingers or use the zoom bar.

5. Select a mode: Swipe left or right to select a mode like PHOTO, PORTRAIT, or NIGHT.

6. Tap the shutter button to take a photo.

Take Panoramic Photos

1. Go to Camera > MORE and select Panorama mode.

2. Touch the shutter button and set the pan direction.

3. Point the camera at your starting point, touch the shutter to start, and move the camera in the direction of the arrow on the screen.

Use Pro Mode

Pro mode gives you full control over camera settings.

1. Open Camera and select PRO mode.

2. You can then adjust the following parameters:

Shooting Videos

1. Open Camera and select VIDEO mode.

2. Prepare for shooting:

– Zoom: Pinch with two fingers or use the zoom bar.

– Focus: Tap the screen to focus. Touch and hold to lock exposure and focus.

– Flash: Tap the flash icon to turn it on or off.

– Beauty effect: Tap the beauty icon and slide to adjust the effect.

– Resolution and frame rate: Go to settings (gear icon) > Resolution to adjust video quality.

3. Tap the record button to start. Tap it again to pause, and tap the stop button to end recording.

Editing Videos

1. Go to Gallery > Albums and touch the video you want to edit.

2. Tap the edit icon to display the video editing screen.

3. You can perform the following actions:

– Template: Select a preset theme.

– Edit: Trim the video to the desired length.

– Filters: Apply a filter effect.

– Music: Add background music from presets or your local files.

– Text: Add text to the video with various styles.

– Effect: Add special effects.

4. When finished, touch the export icon to save the video.

Add Albums

1. Go to Gallery > Albums.

2. Touch the plus icon, name the album, then touch OK.

3. Select the photos or videos you want to add, and then move or copy them to the new album.

Sort Albums

1. Go to Gallery > Albums > More options (three dots), and touch Sort albums.

2. Long press and drag the handle next to an album to move it to the desired position.

Hide Albums

1. On the Albums page, open an album.

2. Touch and hold the pictures or videos you want to hide.

3. Tap More options (three dots) > Hide > OK.

4. To view hidden items, go to the Albums page, tap More options (three dots) > Hidden items.

Delete and Recover Photos

Touch and hold to select a photo, video, or album you want to delete, then touch Delete. Deleted items are moved to the Recently deleted album for a period before being permanently deleted. To recover items, open the Recently deleted album, select the items, and touch the restore icon.

Magic Portal intelligently recommends services based on the content you select on your screen.

Enable Magic Portal

Go to Settings > HONOR AI > Magic Portal, and enable the Magic Portal switch.

How to Use Magic Portal

– Knuckle Circle: On any screen, use a single knuckle to tap and draw a circle around content (e.g., a product in a video). Magic Portal will open with recommended apps for searching, sharing, or shopping.

– Long Press on Text: Select text on the screen, then long press it and drag it to the left or right edge of the screen to open Magic Portal.

– Long Press on Image: Long press an image and drag it to the left or right edge to open Magic Portal.

– Via Screenshots: After taking a screenshot, long press and drag the screenshot thumbnail to trigger Magic Portal.

Full Screenshot

– Key Combination: Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously.

– Shortcut Button: Swipe down from the top right to open the Control Center and tap the Screenshot icon.

– Knuckle Screenshot: Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Screenshot/Global Favourites and ensure Knuckle screenshots is enabled. Then, knock the screen twice in quick succession with one knuckle.

– Three-Finger Swipe: Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Screenshot/Global Favourites, select Three-finger swipe down, and ensure it is enabled. Then, swipe down from the middle of the screen with three fingers.

Partial Screenshot

1. Knock on the screen with a knuckle and hold to draw an outline around the part of the screen you want to capture.

2. You can then drag the frame to adjust the position or resize it. You can also select a shape for the screenshot.

3. Touch the save icon to save the screenshot.

Scrolling Screenshot

1. After taking a regular screenshot, a thumbnail will appear in the lower-left corner. Swipe down on the thumbnail to start a scrolling screenshot.

2. Alternatively, tap the screen with one knuckle, draw an “S” shape, and the screen will automatically scroll down to capture a scrolling screenshot. Tap the screen to stop.

Multi-Window allows you to use apps in floating windows or a split screen for easier multitasking. First, ensure the feature is on by going to Settings > Accessibility features > Multi-Window.

Use a Floating Window

1. Swipe inwards from the left or right edge of the screen and hold to open the Multi-Window dock.

2. Tap an app in the dock to open it in a floating window.

3. You can move the window by dragging the bar at the top, resize it by dragging the corners, or minimize it by dragging it to the side of the screen.

Use Split-Screen Mode

1. While an app is open in full-screen, swipe inwards from a long edge of the screen and pause until the Multi-Window dock appears.

2. Press and drag an app from the dock onto the screen and release it to enter split-screen mode.

3. You can drag the divider to adjust the window size or drag it to the edge of the screen to exit split-screen mode.

Drag and Drop Between Apps

With Multi-Window active, you can easily drag and drop content like images, text, and documents between the two open apps.

Create a Contact

On the Contacts screen, tap the plus icon, enter the contact’s name, phone number, and other information, and tap the checkmark to save.

Search for Contacts

Open the Contacts interface and enter keywords (name, initials, phone number) in the search box at the top.

Merge Duplicate Contacts

On the Contacts interface, go to More > Settings > Organize contacts > Merge duplicate contacts.

Share Contacts

On the Contacts interface, long press a contact to be shared and tap Share contact. Select a sharing method and follow the on-screen instructions.

Delete Contacts

Long press the contact to be deleted and tap Delete. To delete multiple contacts, tap and hold one, then select others and tap Delete.

Manage Contact Groups

1. Open Contacts and select the Groups tab.

2. Tap New to create a new group. Enter a name and tap OK.

3. Tap Add members to add contacts to the group.

Add a Schedule/Event

1. Go to Calendar, then tap the plus icon.

2. Enter details such as title, location, and start/end time.

3. Tap Add reminder to set a reminder.

4. Tap the checkmark to save the schedule.

Create a To-Do List

1. Go to Calendar > To-dos and select the plus icon.

2. Enter your task, set a reminder time, and categorize it.

3. Tap the checkmark to save.

Search for an Event

On the Events screen, touch the search icon and enter keywords for your event.

Customize Calendar View

Go to Calendar > More > Settings. Here you can select the start day of the week, choose to show week numbers, or select an alternate calendar (e.g., lunar calendar).

Create a Note

1. Go to Notes, tap the plus icon and select Typed notes or Handwritten note.

2. For typed notes, enter a title and content. You can add checklists, change fonts, and insert images.

3. For handwritten notes, you can write or draw with different pens and colors.

4. Tap the save icon.

Categorize Notes

You can sort notes into different folders. In the All notes list interface, tap the menu icon. Tap New folder to create a new category with a preferred color and name.

Lock Notes

Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device & data protection > App Lock, enable the switch for Notes, and follow instructions to set a password. To lock an individual note, open it and tap More > Add lock.

Share Notes

Open a note you want to share, tap the share icon, and follow the prompts. Notes can be shared as an image, text, or document.

Set up Face Recognition

1. Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Face Recognition, and enter your lock screen password.

2. Touch GET STARTED and follow the onscreen instructions to enroll your facial data.

3. On the Face Recognition screen, you can enable Unlock device and Access App Lock.

Set up Fingerprint ID

1. Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Fingerprint ID and enter your lock screen password.

2. Touch New fingerprint to begin enrolling.

3. Place your fingertip on the fingerprint sensor. When you feel a vibration, lift and press again, moving your finger around to enroll different parts of it.

4. When enrollment is complete, touch OK.

5. On the Fingerprint ID screen, you can enable Access Safe and Access App Lock.

Manage the Home Screen

– Rearrange Icons: Touch and hold an icon until it enlarges, then drag it to a new position.

– Change Layout: Pinch two fingers together on the home screen, go to Settings > Layout, and select a pattern.

– Use App Drawer: Go to Settings > Home screen & style > Home screen style, and select Drawer to store apps in a separate drawer.

Customize the Lock Screen

Go to Settings > Home screen & style, then tap Lock screen style. You can swipe to select official wallpapers, choose an image from your Gallery, or tap MORE to find more themes.

Use Always On Display (AOD)

Go to Settings > Home screen & style > Always On Display. You can enable it to show the date, time, and notifications when the screen is off. You can customize the AOD with different clock styles, signatures, and artistic images.

Adjust Display and Brightness

Go to Settings > Display & brightness. Here you can:

– Adjust brightness manually or set it to Automatic.

– Change Colour mode & temperature to Normal or Vivid.

– Enable Dark mode to reduce eye strain.

– Enable Eye Comfort mode to reduce blue light.

Back up Data to a USB Storage Device

1. Connect your phone to a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive) with a USB OTG cable.

2. Go to Settings > System & updates > Backup & restore > Data backup > External storage and select USB storage.

3. Tap BACK UP, check the data you want to back up, and tap Back up.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set a password for the backup.

Recover Backup Data from a USB Storage Device

1. Connect the USB storage device to your phone.

2. Go to Settings > System & updates > Backup & restore > Data backup > External storage and select USB storage.

3. Select the backup record from the RESTORE FROM BACKUP list.

4. Select the data you need to recover, tap Restore, and enter the password when prompted.

Restore to Factory Settings

This will erase all data on your phone. Make sure to back up your data first.

Go to Settings > System & updates > Reset > Reset phone, touch Reset phone, and follow the onscreen instructions.

When an update is available, your phone will prompt you to download and install it.

1. Go to Settings > System & updates > Software update, and touch Check for updates.

2. When an update is available, you can either manually download and install it, or update automatically overnight.

– Download and install manually: Go to New version > DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL. It is recommended to connect to a Wi-Fi network to avoid data usage.

– Update overnight: Touch the settings icon, and enable Auto-download over Wi-Fi and Update overnight. Your phone will automatically update and restart between 02:00 – 04:00, provided it is powered on, the screen is locked, no alarms are set, and the battery is above 35%.
