To ensure the best quality sound from your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, follow these placement guidelines:

Notes:

• For best quality sound, ensure the two tweeters are placed on the upper side of the speaker box.

• Do not sit on the speaker or push it. Otherwise, it may result in malfunction and causing personal injury and/or property damage.

Place the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 on a flat, stable surface and make sure that the rubber feet side is down. You can place the speaker vertically or horizontally. It automatically optimizes sound to adapt to the placing orientation.

You can power your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 using the provided AC power cord, a DC car charger, or its built-in battery.

Cautions:

• Use only the provided power cord.

• For the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, either AC/DC power or the built-in battery can be used as a power supply.

Using AC Power:

1. Plug one end of the AC power cord into the power connector on the back of the speaker.

2. Plug the other end into a wall outlet.

Using DC Power (Car Charger):

1. Connect the car charger to the DC power jack of the speaker.

2. Connect the other end to your vehicle’s car charger outlet.

The HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. To charge it, use the provided AC power cord.

Notes:

• Fully charge the built-in battery before using for the first time, which will prolong the battery lifespan.

• Built-in battery charging works on AC power only.

After you power on the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, the speaker shows the battery level immediately. You can also check the status of the PartyBox battery at any time by pressing any button.

You can use your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 as an external speaker for your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet by following these steps:

1. Press the Bluetooth button to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

2. Choose “JBL PartyBox 300” on your device to connect.

3. Once successfully connected, audio will stream from your Bluetooth device to the speaker.

Notes:

• The speaker can memorize a maximum of 8 paired devices. The ninth paired device will replace the first one.

• The operational range between the speaker and a Bluetooth device is approximately 10 meters (30 feet).

• If a PIN code is requested while connecting a Bluetooth device, enter “0000”.

• Bluetooth performance can be affected by the distance between this product and your Bluetooth device and the environment of operation.

• To exit Bluetooth mode, insert a USB storage device.

To terminate the Bluetooth-enabled device:

• Turn off the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 speaker.

• Disable Bluetooth on your device.

• Move the speaker beyond the Bluetooth operational range.

To reconnect the Bluetooth-enabled device:

• When you turn on the speaker next time, it tries to reconnect the last connected device automatically.

• If not, manually select “JBL PartyBox 300” on your Bluetooth device to start a connection.

With your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, you can enjoy music that is stored on a USB storage device such as an MP3 player. Plug your USB storage device into the USB port of your PartyBox. The music will play automatically. If not, please check if the USB device contains playable audio contents.

Notes:

• When the USB source is not playing, Bluetooth can break in and play music from the phone.

• When USB is playing, Bluetooth cannot break in USB.

• Priority goes to USB, Bluetooth and then Aux.

To play music on your portable audio device through the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, make sure that no Bluetooth connection or USB device is available. Then, follow these steps:

1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to:

• the headphone socket of your portable audio device;

• the AUX connector of this speaker.

2. Turn on your portable audio device and it will start playing.

Note: To exit AUX mode, choose Bluetooth or USB as a source first.

To play music from an analog device (like a TV or DVD player) through your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, ensure no Bluetooth, USB, or AUX connection is active. Then, connect a pair of RCA audio cables (red/white, not supplied) to:

• The RCA audio output sockets (red/white) on the analog device.

• The INPUT (L/R) connectors on the rear of the speaker.

By using a microphone or an electric guitar (not supplied), you can mix its sound with an audio source on your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300.

1. Rotate counterclockwise the MIC/GUITAR volume knob to turn down the volume.

2. Connect your microphone or guitar to the MIC/GUITAR jack of the speaker.

3. Sing through the microphone or play guitar.

• To adjust the volume of the audio source, press +/-.

• To adjust the volume of the microphone or guitar, rotate the MIC/GUITAR volume knob.

Caution: When not using the microphone or guitar, decrease the MIC/GUITAR volume to minimum and remove them from the jack.

Yes, you can use the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 as a battery charger for your rechargeable USB devices. Connect your USB device to the USB port on the rear of the speaker to charge it.

Please observe the following cautions when carrying your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300:

• Before carrying the speaker, make sure that all the cords are disconnected.

• To avoid personal injury and/or property damage, hold the product firmly while carrying.

Two HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 speakers can connect to each other in TWS (True Wireless Stereo) mode.

1. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on both speakers simultaneously for 5 seconds. The TWS connection will be established. By default, the speaker connected to your smartphone is the master speaker (L channel), and the other one is the slave speaker (R channel).

2. Press the L/R button on one speaker to toggle between L channel / R channel / Stereo. The other speaker will change its setting automatically.

3. In TWS mode, to exit, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 5 seconds on either speaker or power off the speaker.

Cautions:

• If you plugged out the AC power (PartyBox 300 only), then you plugged it in, the Demo Mode will be resumed automatically.

• Ensure the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 is powered by AC to go into Demo Mode.

To enter or to exit demo mode, press and hold the Play/Pause and BASS BOOST buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

In demo mode, all input sources are disabled, and all buttons except + / – / Play-Pause / BASS BOOST are disabled.

Note: The HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 has 3 x 30 seconds of built-in music tracks for demo mode.

Playback in Demo Mode:

• Press the Play/Pause button once to start, pause, or resume play.

• Press the Play/Pause button once after the pause to play the next track.

The HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 will enter into sleep mode after 20 minutes without operation.

• If the “PartyBox” is powered by the battery, it will auto power off if there is no action for 20 minutes.

• If the “PartyBox” is powered by an AC or DC power source, the product will enter standby mode if there is no action for 20 minutes.

To wake the speaker from standby mode and enter normal mode, press the Power button or initiate a Bluetooth stream break-in.

If your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 will not turn on, check the following:

• Check if the power cord is plugged into the outlet and to the PartyBox.

• For the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, make sure the speaker is fully charged. If not, use the power cord to turn on your speaker.

If there is no sound coming from your HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, check these points:

• Make sure that the PartyBox is powered on.

• Make sure that the volume level is turned to an audible level.

• Make sure that it is connected to a music source.

If a device cannot connect with the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, try the following:

• Check if you have enabled the Bluetooth function of the device.

• The HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300 may already be connected to another Bluetooth device. Press and hold the Bluetooth button to disconnect and pair with a new device.

If you experience poor audio quality from a connected Bluetooth device:

• The Bluetooth reception may be poor. Move the device closer to the HARMAN JBL PARTYBOX 300, or remove any obstacle between the device and the PartyBox.
