Before you begin: Clear the work area by putting away all packing materials and bundled items.

Step 1. Assemble the Stand

This step requires two people.

Using the provided Allen key and six screws, attach the two stand legs to the crossbar. Ensure the front of the stand is oriented correctly.

Step 2. Install the Printer on the Stand

This step requires at least four people to carry the printer.

When lifting the printer, place your hands at the designated locations shown in the illustrations in the Setup Guide. Do not hold it by the covers or other non-structural parts. Another person who is not holding the printer should guide the carriers.

Carefully lower the printer onto the assembled stand, aligning the mounting points.

Step 3. Secure the Casters

Once the printer is on the stand, secure the casters (wheels) to prevent the printer from moving. Always keep the casters secured, except when you need to move the entire unit.

Note: If you are installing the optional Auto Take-up Reel Unit, do not install the paper basket. Skip to “Removing Protective Materials.”

Follow these steps to assemble the paper basket:

Step 1. Attach the left and right side brackets to the printer stand legs.

Step 2. Insert the paper basket support pipes into the side brackets.

Step 3. Unfold the fabric basket and lay it out.

Step 4. Insert the front and back support pipes through the sleeves in the fabric basket.

Step 5. Attach the front of the fabric basket assembly to the printer.

Step 6. Push the black plastic parts on the basket all the way onto the support pipes.

Step 7. Attach the front flap of the basket using the designated tabs.

Step 8. Attach the rear of the fabric basket to the rear support pipes.

Step 9. Secure the straps at the back of the basket.

Step 10. Install the paper stopper components.

Step 11. Hook the paper stopper elastics into place.

Step 12. Attach the final fabric flap to the front of the printer.

After assembly, remove all orange protective tapes and foam pieces from the exterior and interior of the printer. Open the main cover and the roll paper cover to access all internal protective materials. It is important to store these protective materials in a safe place so you can use them again if you need to transport the printer in the future.

Step 1. Connect the Power Cable

Connect the supplied power cable to the printer and then to a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet. Use only the type of power source indicated on the printer’s label.

Step 2. Turn On the Printer and Perform Initial Ink Charging

Turn on the printer. The control panel screen will guide you to select initial settings like language and date.

Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the initial ink charging. This process will take approximately 45 minutes.

Important Precautions during Ink Charging:

– Do not disconnect the power cable from the outlet or turn off the power.

– Do not perform any operations other than those specified on the screen.

– Do not open any cover except for the roll paper cover, as doing so will interrupt the ink charging.

The operation is complete when the message “Load paper” appears on the display.

Note: The included ink cartridges and installed maintenance boxes are for initial ink charging only. You may need to replace an ink cartridge or maintenance box soon after setup.

To install the software, your computer must be connected to the Internet. Ready the printer and computer for connection, but do not connect any cables between them until the software installer prompts you to do so.

Step 1. Download and run your product’s software package from the appropriate support page.

Step 2. Follow the instructions on the computer screen to run the setup program. The basic software will not be installed if the devices are not connected according to the on-screen instructions.

When you are prompted to enter the administrator password during software installation, you can find the default password printed on a label attached to the printer. The location of this label is shown in the Setup Guide.

There are two possibilities:

If there is only one label: The password will be the serial number printed on the “Serial No.” label.

If there are two labels: The password will be printed on the “PASSWORD” label.

For network connections, it is recommended to change the initial administrator password from the default setting.

The EPSON SURECOLOR P9370 supports different paper types in different locations:

Roll Paper: Loads from the rear of the printer into the top feed slot.

Cut Sheet/Poster Board: Loads from the front of the printer into the front feed slot.

To load paper using the control panel:

Step 1. On the control panel, press the paper loading information field (e.g., where it says “Load paper.”).

Step 2. Select the type of paper you want to load (e.g., Roll Paper, Cut Sheet).

Step 3. To see on-screen instructions, press “See Description.” The panel will then display the procedure. For example, for roll paper, it will instruct you to “Insert the leading edge of the roll paper into the paper feed slot and feed the roll paper until you hear a beep.”

Step 4. You can now carry out the task while checking the procedure on the screen.

This same on-screen guide method can be used for other maintenance operations, such as cleaning and ink cartridge replacement.
