It is important to read your Owner Manual to become familiar with the information being relayed by the lights, gauges, and indicators, and what actions to take to ensure safety and prevent damage.

The Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons are located on the left side of the instrument panel. To operate the DIC, the ignition must be in the Run position. The buttons have the following functions:

Personalization Button: Press this button to scroll through the personalization settings.

Trip/Fuel Button: Press this button to scroll through trip and fuel information, including:

– Trip A or Trip B

– Fuel Range (until empty)

– Average Fuel Economy

– Instantaneous Fuel Economy

– Fuel Used

– Timer Off

– Average Speed

– Battery Voltage

Vehicle Information Button: Press this button to scroll through vehicle information, including:

– Oil Life Remaining

– Units (English/Metric)

– Parking Assist

– Front Tires or Rear Tires (Current tire pressures)

– Relearn Tire Positions (Required after tire service only)

– Relearn Remote Key

Set/Reset Button: Press this button to reset DIC information while it is displayed or to acknowledge a warning message.

Menu Up/Down Button: Press this button to scroll up or down through the menu items.

To personalize features in your CADILLAC DTS 2007 using the DIC, follow these steps:

1. Place the vehicle in Park (P).

2. Press the Personalization button to enter the Feature Settings menu and scroll through the available features.

3. Press the Set/Reset button to access the settings for the feature being displayed.

4. Press the Menu Up/Down button to scroll through the available settings for each feature.

5. Press the Set/Reset button to choose the setting being displayed and move to the next feature.

To use the remote start feature on your CADILLAC DTS 2007, the capability must first be turned on using the Driver Information Center (DIC). To start the vehicle remotely:

1. Aim the transmitter at the vehicle. The extended range is within 196 feet (60 meters).

2. Press and release the Lock button on the transmitter.

3. Immediately press and hold the Remote Start button for about four seconds. The parking lamps will light when the vehicle starts.

The engine will run for 10 minutes. You can repeat these steps for one 10-minute time extension. Only two consecutive remote starts are allowed. After a remote start, you must insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the Run position before driving.

The RKE transmitter for your CADILLAC DTS 2007 has several functions:

Lock: Press this button when all doors are closed to immediately lock all doors. RKE feedback (light flash and/or horn chirp) can be programmed using the DIC. If the Delayed Lock feature is enabled and this button is pressed while a door is open, the doors will not lock for approximately 10 seconds.

Unlock: Press this button to unlock the driver’s door. Press it again within five seconds to unlock all remaining doors. Approach lighting can be programmed using the DIC.

Remote Alarm: Press this button to sound the alarm. The horn will sound and the headlamps will flash for two minutes. Press the button again or turn the ignition key to the Run position to cancel. The vehicle must be off to use the alarm.

Remote Trunk Release: Press this button to release the trunk lid. The trunk can also be opened using the Trunk Release button on the left side of the instrument panel.

Remote Vehicle Start: This feature can be used to start the engine from outside the vehicle.

Note: Your CADILLAC DTS 2007 has automatic door locks that lock when the vehicle is shifted out of Park (P). This feature can be programmed using the DIC.

The power seat controls are located on the outboard side of the driver and front passenger seats. Use them as follows:

Seat Adjustment: Move the main control forward or rearward to move the seat. Move it up or down to raise or lower the entire seat cushion. Move the front or rear part of this control up or down to tilt the seat cushion.

Recline Adjustment: Move the top of the recline control forward to raise the seatback or rearward to recline it.

Lumbar Adjustment: Press the front or rear part of the lumbar control to increase or decrease lumbar support. Press the top or bottom part of this control to raise or lower the position of the support.

Massaging Lumbar (if equipped): Press the additional button on the side of the seat to activate the massaging lumbar. The cycle runs for 10 minutes or until the switch is pressed again.

To adjust the front head restraints in your CADILLAC DTS 2007:

To raise the head restraint, pull up on it until it locks into place.

To lower the head restraint, press the button located at the base of the restraint and push it down.

If equipped, the front head restraints can also be tilted forward or rearward.

The heated and cooled seat controls are on the front doors of your CADILLAC DTS 2007.

Heated Seatback: Press this button to turn on only the heated seatback.

Heated Seat and Seatback: Press this button to turn on both the heated seat cushion and seatback.

Cooled Seat: Press this button to turn on the cooled seat.

There are three temperature settings (high, medium, and low) for both heating and cooling. Continue to press the desired button to cycle through the settings (high, medium, low, off). The feature is off when all indicator lights are off.

To save memory settings for the driver’s seat, outside mirrors, and steering wheel in your CADILLAC DTS 2007:

1. Adjust the driver’s seat, outside mirrors, and steering wheel to a comfortable position.

2. Press and hold button 1 or 2 on the driver’s door until two beeps sound.

3. Repeat these steps for a second driver using the other numbered button.

To recall the settings, press button 1 or 2. The memory setting can also be programmed to recall automatically using the Driver Information Center (DIC).

The Easy Exit Seat feature moves the driver’s seat and steering wheel (if equipped) to a position that makes it easier to exit the vehicle.

To use it manually, put the vehicle in Park (P) and press the Easy Exit Seat button (labeled with a person exiting a seat icon) on the driver’s door. Press it again to move the seat back further.

This feature can also be programmed to move automatically using the Driver Information Center (DIC).

To program the memory seat to automatically recall its setting when the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter unlock button is pressed, use the Driver Information Center (DIC):

1. Press the Personalization button until “Memory Seat” appears on the DIC.

2. Press the Set/Reset button to access the feature settings.

3. Press the Menu Up/Down button to scroll through the settings of Off, On, or No Change.

4. With your choice displayed, press the Set/Reset button to save the setting.

To program the Easy Exit Seat to automatically move to the factory-set exit position when the key is removed from the ignition, use the Driver Information Center (DIC):

1. Press the Personalization button until “Easy Exit Seat” appears on the DIC.

2. Press the Set/Reset button to access the feature settings.

3. Press the Menu Up/Down button to scroll through the settings of Off, On, or No Change.

4. With your choice displayed, press the Set/Reset button to save the setting.

If Off is selected, the driver is required to manually press the easy exit seat button to recall the exit setting.

The climate controls in your CADILLAC DTS 2007 can be operated manually as follows:

Off: Turn the fan control to the Off position to turn off the entire climate control system.

Air Conditioning: Press the knob with the snowflake icon to turn the A/C on or off.

Fan: Turn the fan control to increase or decrease fan speed.

AUX (Auxiliary Fan): Press this button to turn the rear climate control system on or off (if equipped).

Recirculation: Press this button to recirculate inside air. This will not function in defog or defrost mode.

PASS (Passenger’s Climate Control): Press this button to turn the passenger’s climate control system on or off.

Rear Window Defogger: Press this knob to turn the rear window defogger on or off.

Airflow Control: Turn the airflow control knob to direct air to the desired outlets:

– Vent: Directs air to the instrument panel outlets.

– Bi-Level: Directs air to the instrument panel outlets and floor outlets.

– Floor: Directs air to the floor outlets.

– Defog: Directs air to the windshield, side window outlets, and floor outlets.

– Defrost: Directs most of the air to the windshield and some to the side window outlets.

In automatic mode, the system automatically adjusts airflow, fan speed, air conditioning, and recirculation to maintain your set temperature. To set the automatic mode:

1. Turn the fan control to the AUTO position.

2. Turn the airflow control to the AUTO position.

3. Adjust the temperature to a comfortable setting using the driver’s or passenger’s temperature control arrow buttons.

The rear climate control system allows rear seat passengers to adjust airflow, fan speed, and temperature using the control panel on the back of the center console.

For automatic operation, press the Fan button until AUTO is displayed on the rear screen. When in auto mode, pressing the up arrow on the fan button will cancel automatic operation. Pressing the down arrow will turn off the system.

Your CADILLAC DTS 2007 audio system has the following features:

Power/Volume: Press this knob to turn the system on or off. Turn it to adjust the volume.

Tune: Turn this knob to select radio stations or, for a CD, to select a track or MP3 file. Press the knob to adjust tone (bass/treble) or speaker control (balance/fade).

Eject: Press once to eject the current CD. If equipped with a multi-disc player, press and hold to eject all CDs.

Clock or Load (if equipped): This may be a Clock button or a CD Load button. Press the Clock button to adjust the clock. Press the Load button to load a single CD, or press and hold it to load multiple CDs.

FAV (Favorite): Press to cycle through up to six pages of preset stations (AM, FM, or XM). Use the six pushbuttons below the display to select a station on the current page.

i (Information): Press to display additional information related to the current function (e.g., song title).

CD/AUX: Press to play a CD. Press again to search for a device connected to the auxiliary input jack.

MENU: Press this button to display the radio setup menu.

Auxiliary Input Jack: A portable audio player can be connected here to play audio through the vehicle speakers.

Before beginning, shift the vehicle into Park (P).

To set the number of favorite station pages:

1. Press the MENU button to display the radio setup menu.

2. Press the pushbutton below the “Select # of FAV Pages!” label on the radio display.

3. Select the desired number of favorite station pages (1-6).

4. Press the FAV button to begin storing stations.

To store favorite stations:

1. Tune to the desired radio station.

2. Press the FAV button to display the page where you want to store the station.

3. Press and hold one of the six pushbuttons below the display until a beep sounds.

4. Repeat these steps for each pushbutton on each page.

The digital radio clock is disabled at the factory. First, you must enable it.

To enable the radio clock display:

1. Press the Clock button (or press MENU and then the pushbutton under the clock label).

2. Press the pushbutton under the forward arrow label until the clock and date settings menu appears.

3. Press the pushbutton under the displayed status of “Off” to change it to “On.” “RADIO CLOCK ON” will appear.

To set the time:

1. Press the Clock button (or MENU then the clock label pushbutton). The HR, MIN, MM, DD, YYYY labels will appear.

2. Press the pushbutton under the label you want to change (e.g., HR for hour).

3. Press the pushbutton again or the FWD button to increase the numbers. Press the REV button to decrease them. Rotating the Tune knob also changes the selected label.

4. Press the Clock or MENU button again to set the displayed time and date.

The steering wheel of your CADILLAC DTS 2007 has both cruise control and audio controls.

Cruise Control Buttons (Left Side):

On/Off: Press to turn the cruise control system on or off.

+ RES (Resume/Accelerate): Press to resume a set speed or to increase speed when the system is active.

– SET (Set): Press to set a speed or decrease speed when the system is active. The Cruise light will illuminate on the instrument panel cluster.

Cancel: Press to cancel the set speed. Applying the brakes also cancels the speed.

Audio Control Buttons (Right Side):

Voice Recognition/Mute: Press to mute the audio system. Press and hold to initiate voice commands with the OnStar system (if equipped).

SRCE (Source): Press to switch between AM, FM, XM, and CD operation.

Next (Up Arrow): Press to go to the next preset radio station or the next CD track.

Previous (Down Arrow): Press to go to the previous preset radio station or the previous CD track.

Seek (Right Arrow): Press to go to the next radio station or CD track. Press and hold for two seconds to scan radio stations or CD tracks.

Volume (+/-): Press the plus (+) or minus (-) buttons to increase or decrease the volume.

The windshield wiper controls are on the multifunction stalk on the left side of the steering column. Turn off Rainsense wipers before entering an automatic car wash.

Heated Washer Fluid: Slide and release the switch on the stalk to start four automatic heated wash/wipe cycles. The first cycle may take up to 45 seconds to heat the fluid. Slide and release again to cancel.

Washer Fluid: Push the paddle on top of the stalk to spray washer fluid on the windshield.

Wiper Speed/Mode Control Band:

– Off: Rotate the band to this position to turn off the wipers.

– Mist: Rotate the band down to this position for a single wipe.

– Sensitivity Setting (for Rainsense): Rotate the band up to one of the sensitivity levels to activate the Rainsense automatic function. The wipers activate more often as the band is rotated further upward.

– Low: Rotate the band up to this position for continuous low-speed wiping.

– High: Rotate the band up to the highest position for continuous high-speed wiping.

IntelliBeam Automatic Headlamps (if equipped):

This system automatically turns on the high-beam headlamps when no other traffic is present and switches to low-beams when other vehicles are detected. It operates only when driving over 20 mph. To turn the system on, press the IntelliBeam (Auto) button on the inside rearview mirror so the indicator light illuminates. You must also rotate the exterior lamp control knob to AUTO and select Auto High Beams in the Driver Information Center personalization settings. To turn it off, press the IntelliBeam button on the mirror again.

Exterior Lamp Control Knob (left of steering wheel):

AUTO (Automatic): This position turns on the Automatic Lamp Control system, which activates headlamps and other lights at night or when necessary.

On/Off (Circle icon): This position turns off the exterior lamps except for the Daytime Running Lamps.

Parking Lamps: This position turns on the parking lamps, taillamps, and instrument panel lights.

Headlamps: This position manually turns on the headlamps, parking lamps, taillamps, and instrument panel lights.

Fog Lamps: Push in the knob to turn on the fog lamps. Push it again to turn them off.

The power mirror controls are located on the driver’s door of your CADILLAC DTS 2007.

Mirror Selector: Press the left side of this switch to select the driver’s side mirror or the right side to select the passenger’s side mirror.

Mirror Adjustment: After selecting a mirror, press the control pad up, down, left, or right to adjust the mirror’s position.

Foldaway Mirrors (if equipped): Press the right side of the foldaway switch to fold the mirrors. Press the left side of this switch to unfold them.

This feature (if equipped) uses ultrasonic sensors on the front and rear bumpers to help you avoid objects when parking at speeds less than 5 mph. The front display is on top of the instrument panel, and the rear display is located near the rear window.

As your CADILLAC DTS 2007 approaches an object, the number of lights illuminated on the corresponding display increases. High-toned beeps will play from the front speakers for objects near the front bumper, and low-toned beeps will play from the rear speakers for objects near the rear bumper.

Keep the sensors on the bumpers clean for proper operation. The system can be disabled using the Driver Information Center.

StabiliTrak is an advanced stability control system that assists with directional control in difficult driving conditions. It turns on automatically every time you start your CADILLAC DTS 2007. When the system senses a difference between your intended path and the vehicle’s actual direction, it selectively applies brake pressure to help steer the vehicle.

To limit wheelspin, you should always leave the system on. The system should only be turned off if your vehicle becomes stuck and rocking the vehicle is required.

To turn the system off, press the Traction Control button located on the center console or at the end of the gearshift lever.

The Oil Life System displays CHANGE ENGINE OIL in the Driver Information Center when it is time to change your oil. The system should be reset to 100% only after an oil change. To reset the system:

1. Turn the key to On, with the engine off.

2. Press the Vehicle Information button on the DIC until it displays ENGINE OIL LIFE.

3. Press and hold the Set/Reset button until 100% ENGINE OIL LIFE is displayed.

4. Turn the key to Off.
