This product also fulfills the requirements for photobiological safety according to IEC/EN 62471 (exempt).

What should I know about the battery in the AXIS M1055-L?

Low battery power affects the operation of the RTC (Real-Time Clock), causing it to reset at every power-up. When the battery voltage is low, a log message will appear in the product’s server report.

CAUTION: Do not replace the battery yourself. Contact Axis support if the log message requests a battery change. The Lithium coin cell 3.0 V batteries contain 1,2-dimethoxyethane; ethylene glycol dimethyl ether (EGDME), CAS no. 110-71-4.


How should I transport the AXIS M1055-L?

When transporting the AXIS M1055-L, use the original packaging or equivalent to prevent damage to the product.


How do I install the AXIS M1055-L?

1. **Preparation**: Install a microSD card (microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC) if you want to store recordings locally. It is recommended to install the camera at a height of 2.2-2.5 m (7.2-8.2 ft). Use a level to ensure the mount is straight.

2. **Mounting**: You can mount the camera on a flat surface or in a corner.

• **For wall mounting (flat surface)**: Use the mount to mark two holes. Drill the holes and insert the screws. Use screws with a flat head, not a countersunk head.

• **For corner mounting**: Use the mount to mark two holes in the corner. Drill the holes and insert the screws.

3. **Connecting Cables**:

• Connect an HDMI Type D cable if you need to output video to a monitor.

• Connect the I/O terminal block for external devices.

• Connect a Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable to the network port. The camera will power on, and the status LED will light up.

4. **Finalizing Installation**: Attach the camera to the installed mount. You should hear a click, indicating it is secure.

5. **Software Setup**: Use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Device Manager to find the device on the network and complete the setup.
