How do I physically install the AXIS T90D25 W-LED?

This guide describes an installation where the AXIS T90D25 W-LED is controlled by the photocell. For this AC/DC version, only the red and black cables are required for installation.

1. If required, remove the screws and move the standard bracket to the top of the illuminator.

2. If required, loosen the screws and turn the bracket 90°.

3. Position the illuminator next to the camera and point it towards the camera’s field of view.

4. Connect the illuminator to the Power Source Equipment (PSE). For AC/DC versions, connect the power cable from the PSE to the illuminator.

Important: To maintain the IP66 rating of the illuminator, make sure that it is correctly connected to the PSE.

The wire configuration for the AC/DC versions of the AXIS T90D illuminator series is as follows:

How do I change the lens on the AXIS T90D25 W-LED?

NOTICE: Handle the lens with care and do not touch the optical film. All lenses have markings with the angle of illumination.

The pre-mounted lens provides an angle of illumination of 35°. You can change the angle as follows:

• To alter to 10° angle, remove the lens.

• To alter to 60° angle, replace with the supplied lens.

• To alter to 80° angle, replace with the supplied lens.

A lens for a 120° angle is available but not included with the product.

To change the lens, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the power.

2. Remove the screws holding the baseplate using a 2.5 mm Allen/hex key.

3. Change to a diversion lens with the desired angle of illumination.

4. Place the baseplate in its original position and fasten the screws using a 2.5 mm Allen/hex key.

5. Point the illuminator towards the camera’s field of view.

Important: To maintain the IP66 rating of the illuminator, make sure that the illuminator is correctly reassembled.


What do the LED indicators on the AXIS T90D25 W-LED signify?

The AXIS T90D25 W-LED has two colored LED indicators on its base that provide operating and status information. On powering up, the illuminator automatically enters Programming Mode.

• LHS LED solid green = Power on

• RHS LED flashing amber = Illuminator is in Programming Mode

• LHS LED solid red = Illuminator fault detected

• LHS LED flashing red = Voltage supply problem detected

Note: If any manual buttons are pressed, the illuminator automatically enters Normal Operating Mode 30 minutes after the last button press. After 7 days, the illuminator automatically enters Normal Operating Mode and the RHS LED is unlit.

A full reset will restore the AXIS T90D25 W-LED to its factory settings.

• Press and hold the two manual control buttons whilst recycling the power.

• Both Indicator LEDs will flash amber when the reset is completed.

For the AXIS T90D25 W-LED, the supply to the unit should be limited to/fused at 3.15 A. The illuminator is Class III for insulation.
