When using your ASKO WM76S washing machine, please adhere to the following general safety precautions:

• Do not use the washing machine without first reading and understanding the instruction manual.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless they have been given supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety.

• Failure to follow the instructions may result in damage to the laundry, the appliance, or injury. Keep the instruction manual near the machine.

• This appliance is intended for household and similar applications, such as staff kitchens, farm houses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast environments.

• This appliance must not be used in areas for communal use in blocks of flats or launderettes.

• Before using the machine, you must remove all transit bolts.

• The maximum washing capacity in kg for the Cotton program is indicated on the rating plate.

To ensure child safety around your ASKO WM76S, please follow these guidelines:

• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

• Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

• Keep all detergents and conditioners out of the reach of children.

• Before starting a program, check the drum to ensure it is empty (e.g., make sure a child has not climbed inside).

• Activate the Lock feature in the appliance settings to prevent children from changing settings.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction on its safe use.

• Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.

• Be aware that at higher washing temperatures, the door glass will heat up. Be careful to avoid burns and ensure children do not play near the door glass.

• The washing machine may only be used with the supplied power cord. A damaged power cord must only be replaced by the manufacturer, a service technician, or an authorized person.

• Do not connect the appliance to an external switching device like a timer or a circuit that is regularly switched on and off.

• Connection to water and power supply must be done by a trained expert.

• Do not install the machine in a room where the temperature can drop below 5°C, as this can damage parts due to freezing.

• Ensure ventilation openings in the base of the machine are not obstructed by a carpet.

• After installation, wait at least two hours before connecting the machine to the power mains.

• Do not connect the machine using an extension cord or to an electrical outlet intended for an electric shaver or hair dryer.

• Use the new water supply hose and gaskets supplied with the appliance. Water pressure must be between 0.1 and 1 MPa (1–10 bar).

If you need to transport or store the ASKO WM76S in a location where temperatures may drop below freezing, please do the following:

1. Clean the drain pump filter.

2. Close the water supply to the washing machine.

3. Undo the water supply hose from the water supply tap and wait until all water flows out of the tap and the hose.

4. After the drain pump filter is emptied, a small amount of water may remain. This is normal and will not damage the appliance.

5. If the washing machine is to be transported, the transport protection bolts must be re-installed.

Before using your ASKO WM76S, you must remove the three transport bolts and plastic plugs that protect the appliance during transport. Follow these steps:

1. Use a spanner (no. 15 or 17, depending on the model) to loosen and remove the bolts from the back of the machine.

2. To remove the plastic plugs that hold the bolts, squeeze them (1) and then pull them out (2).

3. Remove the caps from the plastic plugs. Push these caps into the holes where the plastic plugs were located.

4. Save the bolts and plastic plugs in case you need to move your washing machine in the future. To prevent damage from vibrations during future transport, the bolts and plugs must be reinstalled.

Proper installation is key to reducing noise and vibration. Follow these steps:

1. **Select the Room:** The floor must have a concrete base and should be clean and dry. Ensure the wall outlet is freely accessible and the machine is not placed behind a lockable or sliding door.

2. **Positioning and Clearance:** The machine must not be in contact with a wall or adjacent furniture. Allow a minimum clearance of 25 mm at the back and 40 mm above the appliance.

3. **Adjusting the Feet:** The machine must stand level and stable.

Step 1. Level the washing machine in both longitudinal and traverse directions by rotating the adjustable feet using a spanner no. 32. The feet allow for leveling by +/- 1 cm.

Step 2. Once the machine is level, use a spanner no. 17 to firmly tighten the lock nuts (counter nuts) up towards the bottom of the machine.

Step 3. Tighten the lock nuts fully to their end position.

Incorrect leveling is not covered by the warranty and can cause vibration and movement.

At least two people are required to safely install a tumble dryer on top of the washing machine. To stack the dryer:

1. Use the front feet attachments (plastic footrests) and the tipping guard, which are supplied in the dryer drum.

2. Ensure the ASKO WM76S can bear the weight of the dryer (all ASKO washing machines can bear the weight of an ASKO dryer).

3. If the washing machine and dryer are not the same dimensions, or if you have installed an intermediate compartment (like a Hidden Helper), you can purchase a specific connecting plate.

For detailed instructions, refer to the instructions provided with your ASKO tumble dryer.

Connection to Water Supply:

1. The water inlet hose is located inside the drum. It must be connected by a trained person.

2. Use only the new water supply hose provided. Water pressure must be between 0.1 and 1 MPa (1-10 bar).

3. Your machine has hot and cold water connections. Connect one hose to the cold inlet (COLD) and the other to the hot inlet (HOT). Hot water is used for programs at 40°C or more. If you only wish to connect to cold water, the protective cap must remain on the hot water inlet.

4. The water intake hose must be fastened firmly to ensure a good seal. After connecting, check for any leaks.

Installing the Drain Hose:

The drain hose can be installed in one of three ways:

1. Into a wall drain with a siphon: This must be properly installed so it can be cleaned.

2. Into a sink or bathtub: Use a string to attach the hose through the opening in the elbow to prevent it from slipping to the floor.

3. Directly into a sink drain: The diameter of the drain must be at least 4 cm.

The end of the drain hose must be positioned no more than 900 mm and no less than 600 mm from the ground. The lower position (600 mm) is always recommended. Ensure the hose is not bent.

When you connect and switch on your ASKO WM76S for the first time, you will need to configure the following settings:

1. Choose language: Scroll left or right to find your desired language and press to confirm.

2. Confirm Transport Protection Removal: The appliance will remind you to remove all transport protection. If you have already done so, press Confirm.

3. Water hardness: Choose between Soft, Normal, or Hard. You can determine the hardness using the supplied test strip or by contacting your local water authority.

4. Temperature unit: Select Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).

5. Liquid unit: Select Millilitres (ml) or Tablespoons (tbsp).

6. Weight unit: Select Kilogrammes (kg) or Pounds (lbs).

7. Auto dose system (ADS): Choose to turn the ADS on or off.

8. Wi-Fi settings: Choose to turn the Wi-Fi connection on or off.

9. Automatic extra rinsing: When switched on, the sensor detects soiling and adjusts the number of additional rinses accordingly.

After configuring these, press the final OK button to complete the setup.

To connect your ASKO WM76S to the ConnectLife platform for remote monitoring and control, you need a 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Download the ConnectLife app from your app store.

Step 2: Install the app and create an account.

Step 3: In the ConnectLife app, go to the “Add device” menu and select the appropriate device type. Scan the QR code, which can be found on the rating plate inside the appliance door.

Step 4: The application will then guide you through the process of connecting the appliance to your smart device.

To enable the connection on the washing machine itself:

1. Turn on the appliance and go to “Additional service settings”.

2. Select “Wi-Fi settings” and make sure it is switched On.

3. Select “Connection setup” and follow the instructions in the app.

The Auto Dose System (ADS) automatically dispenses liquid detergent and softener. Here’s how to set it up and use it:

1. Choosing the Settings for ADS:

• In the program settings, select the “Dose” icon, then enter “Settings”.

• Turn on ADS.

• For Tank A and Tank B, choose the type of laundry the liquid is for (e.g., Tank A for colored laundry detergent, Tank B for softener).

• You can also set the default concentration (amount in ml per cycle) for the detergent, which the machine will then adjust based on load size, soiling, and water hardness.

2. Filling the ADS Tanks:

• Pull out the dosing container from the front of the machine.

• Open the lid of ADS tank A and/or B.

• Pour liquid detergent or softener into the respective tank up to the “MAX” mark (the tank holds 1.1 L).

• Close the lid and slide the dosing container back into the machine.

Important Notes for ADS:

• Only use liquid detergents or softeners suitable for automatic dosing systems. Do not use powder detergent in the ADS tanks.

• Do not mix different detergents or softeners in the same tank. When changing liquids, the tank must be emptied and cleaned.

• To switch off auto-dosing, go to the Dose menu settings and select “Off”. You can then use the manual detergent compartments as usual.

Follow these 8 steps for a typical wash cycle:

STEP 1: Sort the laundry. Sort clothes by fabric type, color, soiling, and allowed washing temperature.

STEP 2: Turn on the main switch. Press the On/Off button.

STEP 3: Open the washing machine door and insert the laundry. Pull the handle towards you. Do not overload the drum.

STEP 4: Add the detergent and the softener. Add them to the correct compartments in the dispenser tray or ensure the Auto Dose System (ADS) tanks are filled.

STEP 5: Choose the program. Use the selector knob or touch screen to choose a program from the program chart.

STEP 6: Choose the program settings. Adjust settings like temperature, spin speed, washing mode, or add extra functions like prewash or super rinse.

STEP 7: Start the wash. Close the door and press the Start/Pause button.

STEP 8: End of program. The display will indicate the program has finished. You can now open the door and remove the laundry.

The ASKO WM76S offers a variety of programs to suit different laundry needs. Below is a summary of the available programs:

After selecting a program, you can further adjust it to your wishes. Some settings may not be available for all programs. The available settings include:

• Mode: Choose between Green (saves energy with a longer wash), Speed (time-saving wash with higher consumption), Intensive (improves cleaning with extra water), and Night (reduces noise).

• Temperature: Adjust the wash temperature, from Cold up to 90°C, depending on the program.

• Spin: Change the final spin speed or select no spin.

• Dose: Select between Manual dose, Manual assist, or Auto dose (ADS).

• Small load: Optimizes water and energy for loads up to 2.5 kg.

• Steam disinfection: Adds a low-temperature steam cycle before the main wash to disinfect clothes.

• Prewash: Adds a prewash phase for heavily soiled laundry.

• Super rinse: Adds an additional rinse phase for thorough rinsing.

• High water level: Increases the amount of water used during the wash and rinse phases.

• Rinse and hold: The program pauses before the final spin, leaving the laundry in the final rinse water to prevent creasing.

• Anti crease: Adds gentle tumbling after the cycle finishes to prevent wrinkles.

• Delay start: Postpone the start of the wash program for up to 24 hours.

• Add to favourite: Save your customized program and settings for easy access later. You can store up to 6 favourite programs.

Cleaning the Dispenser Tray (especially the Auto Dose System):

Regular cleaning is important for correct operation. Always disconnect the machine from power before cleaning.

1. On the right side of the lower part of the dosing container, press the release mechanism and completely remove the container from its housing.

2. On the underside of the container, push into the openings to release and remove the tank from the housing.

3. Remove the tank cover using the tab on the rear side.

4. Rinse the tank and cover thoroughly under water. You can use a brush to help.

5. Open and clean the tank cap.

6. Clean the interior of the dosing container.

7. Reinstall the tank into the container housing.

8. Use a brush to clean the nozzles on the upper and lower parts of the compartment housing inside the machine.

9. Put the dosing container back into its housing and close it.

Cleaning the Filter:

We recommend cleaning the pump filter once a month.

1. Before cleaning, run the “Drain” program and disconnect the machine from power.

2. Open the pump filter cover at the bottom front of the machine.

3. Release the small water drain hose from its holder.

4. Place a large shallow container under the hose, open the cap, and let all the water drain out.

5. Gradually rotate the filter in the counter-clockwise direction and pull it out.

6. Clean the filter thoroughly under running water.

7. Remove all objects and impurities from the filter housing and the impeller area.

8. Replace the filter as shown and fasten it by rotating it clockwise. Reattach the drain hose and close the cover.
