What should I do before using my ASKO D3350 dishwasher for the first time?
Before your first wash with the ASKO D3350, you should perform the following checks:
1. Read the directions for use: Familiarize yourself with the Safety, Child Safety, and Basic Course sections.
2. Take care with certain materials: Read the ‘Fragile Dishes’ section before washing items made of plastic, wood, or crystal.
3. Check the door: Open the door a little and let it go. It should stay exactly where you released it. If it doesn’t, consult your installation instructions or the installer.
4. Check the water hardness level: Contact your local Water Board to determine the water hardness in your area. This is important for dosing detergent and rinse aid correctly.
5. For machines with a water softener: Once you know the water hardness, set the water softener as described in the Settings chapter. You must also fill the salt compartment before the first wash.
What are the general safety guidelines for the ASKO D3350 dishwasher?
Please adhere to the following safety guidelines when using your ASKO D3350:
• Read and keep the directions for use.
• Installation of water, drainage, and electricity must be carried out by a qualified professional.
• Only use the dishwasher for its intended purpose as stated in the directions for use.
• Do not load the dishwasher door or baskets with anything other than dishes.
• Only use dishwasher detergent. Hand washing detergent can cause excessive foam.
• Place knives and other sharp objects so that they cannot cause injury or damage the dishwasher.
• Never put dishes containing solvent residue, ashes, wax, or lubricating grease in the machine due to the risk of explosion or damage.
What should I do if the overfill protection on my ASKO D3350 is activated?
The overfill protection system in the ASKO D3350 will start pumping out water and close the water intake if the water level exceeds the normal level. If this happens, you should shut off the water supply and phone for service. You can also refer to the ‘Troubleshooting’ section for more information.

What are the safety recommendations for dishwashing with the ASKO D3350 when children are around?
Always prioritize safety when children are present:
• Use the knife box or knife stand for all long/sharp items.
• Always close the door and start the program immediately after adding dishwasher detergent.
• Keep children away from the dishwasher when it is open, as detergent residue may be present.
• Do not allow children to use or play with the dishwasher.
WARNING: Dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline and can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Check that the detergent compartment is empty after a wash cycle.
If a child swallows detergent, have them immediately drink one or two glasses of milk or water. Do not attempt to induce vomiting. Contact a doctor. If detergent contacts the eyes, rinse for at least 15 minutes with copious amounts of water.

How should I load the baskets in my ASKO D3350 for optimal cleaning?
For the best dishwashing results with your ASKO D3350, follow these loading instructions. There is no need to rinse dishes beforehand due to the Super Cleaning System™.
Upper Basket:
• Place glasses, cups, bowls, and side plates here.
• Place wine glasses on the shelf with the wavy edge.
• Place knives in the knife stand if present.
Lower Basket:
• Place dinner plates, side plates, serving dishes, saucepans, and cutlery (in the cutlery basket) here.
• The removable plate insert can be taken out to make room for large items like pots or placed in alternative positions.
Cutlery:
• Place in the cutlery basket with handles facing downward and spread out as much as possible.
• Ensure spoons are not resting inside each other.
• Do not put cutlery of different materials (e.g., silver and stainless steel) in the same compartment to avoid stains.
• The cutlery basket has a folding flap for small items or narrow shafts like electric whisks.
Important: Ensure all soiled surfaces face inwards or downwards. After loading, check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
How do I select a program on the ASKO D3350 and what do the programs do?
First, press the Power main switch and close the door. Then, select a program by pressing the program button one or more times until the required program symbol lights up.
The available programs on the ASKO D3350 are:
• Pots & pans: For very heavily soiled dishes, pots, and pans. Uses the highest wash temperature for the most effective cleaning.
• Heavy wash: For heavily soiled dishes like saucepans, pots, and gratin dishes. You can add plates if space allows.
• Normal wash: For normally soiled dishes such as plates, serving dishes, cups, and glasses.
• Delicate wash: For lightly soiled glass and china that has just been used and does not need a heavy program.
• Quick wash: For very lightly soiled glass and china, such as coffee cups.
• Rinse & Hold: For rinsing dishes while you wait for a full load.
• Rinse & Dry: Comprises one rinse with heat and drying. Suitable for rinsing and warming previously washed glass jars, for example when making jam.
How do I use the wash options on my ASKO D3350 dishwasher?
To use an additional option on your ASKO D3350, press the corresponding option button after selecting your main wash program.
• Upper basket/ Lower basket/ Both: Press this button to choose whether to wash only the items in the upper basket, only the lower basket, or both baskets. The appropriate symbol will light up.
• High temperature: Press this button to increase the wash temperature for a more effective wash. The temperature symbol will light up. The default and high temperature options are shown in the table below. This selection remains in force until changed.
| Program | Default °C | Option °C |
|---|---|---|
| Pots & pans: | 60 | 75 |
| Heavy wash: | 55 | 70 |
| Normal wash: | 45 | 55 |
| Delicate wash: | 55 | 40 |
| Quick wash: | 30 | 55 |
• Delayed start: Press this button repeatedly to delay the start of the program by 1 to 12 hours. A clock symbol and the number of hours will appear in the display. The machine will count down each hour. To cancel, hold the Start/Stop button for 3 seconds.

• Express: Selecting this option shortens the wash time and reduces the wash temperature by 10°C. It cannot be used with the Quick wash or Rinse & Hold programs.
How do I start, change, or add dishes to a wash cycle on the ASKO D3350?
Starting a wash: After selecting your program and options, press the Start/Stop button. The dishwasher will start automatically. Ensure the door is closed properly, or the machine will not start.
Changing options after starting: Press the Start/Stop button for three seconds. Then, select a new program and press the Start/Stop button again to begin.
Loading more dishes mid-cycle: Open the door. The machine will stop automatically. Add the dishes, close the door, and the dishwasher will continue from where it left off.
If the machine is switched off: If the dishwasher is turned off with the main switch or if there is a power cut, the interrupted program will continue when power is restored. However, if the power is off or the door is open for more than 2 minutes during the drying phase, the program will be interrupted.
What are the recommendations for eco-friendly dishwashing with the ASKO D3350?
To save energy and wash more environmentally friendly with your ASKO D3350, follow these tips:
• Only wash with a full load: Waiting to run the wash until the machine is full saves energy.
• Wash at a lower temperature: If the load is only lightly soiled, you can lower the temperature. For example, use Delicate Wash at 40°C or Quick Wash at 30°C.
• Select program without Extra dry: Choosing a program without the Extra dry option will save energy. For a better drying result, leave the door slightly open after the program ends.
• Do not rinse before dishwashing: The Super Cleaning System™ makes pre-rinsing unnecessary. Simply scrape off large food particles.
• Choose environmentally-friendly dishwasher detergent: Read the environmental declarations on the detergent packaging.
• Connect to cold water supply: If the machine is connected to cold water, the operating time will be longer as it needs to heat the water. However, this allows the program to run at a lower washing temperature and still achieve the same results.
How should I wash fragile or special materials in my ASKO D3350?
Certain household goods require special care when washing in the ASKO D3350:
• Fragile decoration: China with decoration on top of the glaze (rough to the touch) should not be machine washed.
• Crystal/glass: Load items so they don’t knock together. Use the lowest possible temperature and shortest program. Do not heat dry. To prevent a grey film from developing over time, wash fine glass at the lowest temperature with a low dosage of detergent.
• Silver: Do not let silver and stainless steel items touch each other, as the silver can discolour.
• Cutlery with glued handles: Certain adhesives cannot withstand machine washing and the handles may come loose.
• Wood: Only machine wash wooden articles if they are labelled as dishwasher proof.
• Aluminium: Can be dulled by machine washing. Good quality aluminium saucepans can be washed, but a reduction in lustre is expected.
• Plastic: Certain types of plastic cannot withstand high temperatures. To protect plastic articles, select a low-temperature program without Extra dry.

What does the display on my ASKO D3350 show?
When you select a program on your ASKO D3350, the display shows the length of time that program took the last time it was used. Once you start the machine, the display window shows an approximate duration for the current cycle. This time can vary based on factors like incoming water temperature, the amount of dishes, and ambient temperature.
While the program is running, the display shows the remaining time. If the time is over 60 minutes, it will be shown in hours, followed by “h”, alternating with the number of minutes (e.g., 1h-25-1h-25).
Note: The remaining time display may be slightly misleading during the first run of any program, as the machine is estimating the time. If a program takes longer than estimated, the display may show ‘1 minute’ until the program is finished. For subsequent runs of the same program, the machine will calculate the time based on the previous duration.
How do I clean the filters and drain pump on my ASKO D3350?
Regular cleaning of the filters and drain pump ensures your ASKO D3350 runs efficiently.
Cleaning the Coarse and Fine Filter:
1. Coarse Filter: This filter collects large food particles. Lift it out, empty it as necessary, and replace it.
2. Fine Filter: Residue on this filter is automatically rinsed off, but it should be cleaned once or twice a year.
3. To remove the fine filter, first turn the filter’s tubular strainer anti-clockwise and then lift the tubular strainer and the coarse filter straight up.
4. Clean both with a dishwashing brush. Ensure the edges are properly sealed when you replace the fine filter.
Cleaning the Drain Pump:
1. Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the pump.
2. Remove the coarse screen by pressing the two lugs together and pulling the screen upwards.
3. Loosen the tubular part of the screen by turning it anticlockwise and removing the fine screen.
4. Remove the small adapter to the left of the bottom drain.
5. By inserting your finger in the hole, you can turn the pump impeller and remove any blockage.
6. Refit the adapter and screens.
7. Insert the plug back into the wall socket.
How do I clean the spray arms and door of my ASKO D3350?
Cleaning the Spray Arms:
The holes and bearings can occasionally become clogged.
1. Lower Spray Arm: Pull the lower spray arm straight up to release it.
2. Upper Spray Arm: To release the upper spray arm, the upper basket must first be removed. Pull out the basket and turn the basket stop outwards on both rails. The basket can now be removed. Then, remove the upper spray arm in the same way as the lower arm.
3. Cleaning: Scrape away debris from the holes (including those on the underside) with a needle or similar object.
Cleaning the Door:
• Use only a slightly damp cloth, possibly with a little detergent, to clean the edge around the door.
• CAUTION: Do not use a spray bottle or similar around the door catch, as water can penetrate and come into contact with electrical components.
• To prevent bad odours, clean the strips and corners with a dish brush and low-lather detergent.
How do I add and adjust rinse aid in my ASKO D3350?
Rinse aid helps the drying process. When the rinse aid runs out, a symbol will light up on the control panel.
Pouring in Rinse Aid:
1. Turn and lift up the cover of the rinse aid compartment, located to the right of the detergent dispenser.
2. Fill the compartment until the refill indicator is totally black. If the indicator has a transparent appearance, it needs to be topped up.
3. Close the cover securely. There may be a short delay after filling before the light on the panel goes out.
Selecting the Dosage:
• The dispenser is usually set at 1 for soft water.
• To change the dosage, open the rinse aid cover to find the adjustment dial.
• The settings range from 1 to 6. The harder the water, the higher the dosage required.
• If your water is very soft, too much rinse aid can cause foam. You can dilute the rinse aid (1 part rinse aid to 1 part water).
• Too much rinse aid can cause streaks, while too little can result in water stains.
How do I add salt to my ASKO D3350 with a water softener?
If your ASKO D3350 is equipped with a water softener, you must fill the salt compartment with coarse salt or special salt for dishwashers.
Procedure for the first time:
1. Unscrew the cover of the salt compartment.
2. Place the supplied funnel into the filler hole.
3. Pour in approximately 1 litre of water.
4. Fill the compartment with a maximum of 1.5 kg of salt.
5. Wipe away any excess salt so the cover can be screwed on properly.
6. Run a Normal wash program to rinse away any spilled salt.
Refilling Salt:
When the salt runs out, the salt symbol on the display will light up. Unscrew the cover and refill with salt. Water is only needed on the first occasion. After refilling, run a Normal wash program. There may be a short delay before the indicator light goes out.
CAUTION: Never pour dishwasher detergent into the salt compartment, as this will destroy the water softener.
How do I activate or reset the Super Rinse function on my ASKO D3350?
The Super Rinse function adds two extra rinses at the end of the main dish wash. It cannot be used in the Quick wash and Rinse & Hold programs.
To activate Super Rinse:
