I cannot make or receive calls on my VTECH CS6648-2. What should I do?
If you are having trouble with calls, try the following solutions:
• Make sure all plugs are correctly connected. Inspect the telephone line cord and power adapter connections.
• Unplug the unit’s electrical power. Wait for approximately 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Allow up to one minute for the cordless handset and telephone base to reset.
• Charge the battery in the handset for up to 12 hours.
• If the battery is depleted, it may take up to 30 minutes to charge the handset before it shows “Low battery”.
• Remove and reinstall the battery. If that still does not work, it may be necessary to purchase a new battery.
• Disconnect the telephone base from the telephone wall jack and plug in a working telephone. If the other telephone does not work, the problem is probably in the wiring or telephone service.
Why doesn’t the handset on my VTECH CS6648-2 work?
If the handset is not functioning, check these points:
• Make sure the power cord is securely plugged in.
• Ensure the battery is correctly installed and charged.

Why can’t I dial out on my VTECH CS6648-2?
