CAUTION: Risk of contact with sharp edges, splinters, and exposed fasteners. This can cause injury. Wear appropriate OSHA approved personal protective equipment (PPE) when attempting to move, lift, remove packaging from, or prepare the unit for installation.

When moving a single VERTIV COOLPHASE WLM030A unit without a pallet, two people are required to carry it.

To prevent the risk of unit damage, keep the VERTIV COOLPHASE WLM030A indoors and protected from dampness, freezing temperatures, and contact damage.

The recommended equipment for handling the unit is a Fork Lift or a Pallet Jack.

Upon arrival, verify that the labeled equipment matches the Bill of Lading. Carefully inspect all items for either visible or concealed damage. Damage should be immediately reported to the carrier and a damage claim filed with a copy sent to Vertiv or to your sales representative.

Most materials used to package this unit are recyclable. Please save them for future use or appropriately dispose of the material.

Transport the packaged VERTIV COOLPHASE WLM030A unit using a forklift or pallet jack.

• When using a forklift or pallet jack, make sure forks (if adjustable) are spread to the widest allowable distance to still fit under the pallet. Make sure the fork length is suitable for the pallet length.

• The packaged unit shall not be lifted any higher than 2″- 4″ (51-102mm) off the ground when handled. All by-standing personnel shall be no closer than 12′ (3.7m) to the handled packaged unit.

• If circumstances require the unit to be lifted higher than 4″ (102mm), great care shall be exercised and all by-standing personnel are to be no closer than 20′ (5m) to the lift point of the unit.

The following tools and equipment are required to unpack the VERTIV COOLPHASE WLM030A:

• Safety boots.

• Gloves to avoid splinters when the panels are being handled.

• Forklift or Pallet Jack to move the unit closer to its final location.

1. Place the cardboard box on a flat surface and cut the straps to release the lid.

2. Take the cardboard lid out of the box.

3. Remove the foams that protect the unit and take the accessories out.

4. Remove the plastic bag and take the Indoor unit out of the packaging base.
