What are the safety warnings for using the TOHNICHI QSPCAMS12N?

• Do not get oily or grease on the grip part. This makes a hand slipping to cause accidents or injuries.

• Do not use it with over the maximum torque value. This causes accidents or injuries by breakage failure.

• Do not use an adapter to reduce the size of the square drive. This may result in over-stressing of the square drive which causes accidents or injuries by breakage failure.

What are the general precautions for using the TOHNICHI QSPCAMS12N torque wrench?

• Make sure if the set torque is correct before use. Make sure the proper torque unit.

• Confirm the torque unit before use.

• Distinguish the slip type torque wrench from ordinary click-type torque wrenches (Ex. QL). Click-type torque wrenches may apply excessive torque if you keep applying force after the click sound. Be careful not to get confused when you switch from the slip type torque wrench to click-type torque wrenches.

• Do not use a torque wrench in the water or sea. This makes an internal structure defect to cause accidents or injuries. Have an inspection or repair if you drop the torque wrench in the water or sea.

• Make a preventive measure for dropping when working at a higher place. Dropping the torque wrench or socket causes serious accidents or injuries.

• Use an appropriate socket to fit the size of your hexagon bolt head. Using a different size of socket causes accidents or injuries.


How do I set the torque on the TOHNICHI QSPCAMS12N?

1. Insert the Adjusting tool into an adjusting hole. Note: The adjusting tool is sold separately.

2. Set the torque value by using the Adjusting tool with a torque wrench tester (DOTE, TCC models). Turn the Adjusting tool clockwise to increase the torque value, and turn it counterclockwise to decrease the torque value.

Note: It is not necessary to lock the tool after the torque is set due to the adoption of the pre-lock mechanism. If you are using a DOTE3/TCC tester and there is no “click” feeling even after the loading handle is fully rotated, apply additional force by hand.


How do I use the TOHNICHI QSPCAMS12N torque wrench for tightening?

1. Set the proper torque value. For “How to set the torque”, refer to the previous chapter. If you purchased the wrench with a specified torque, make sure the set torque value is correct before use.

2. Insert a socket into the square drive of the torque wrench.

3. Place the socket onto the bolt head or nut.

4. Turn the torque wrench clockwise for tightening.

5. Tightening is complete when you hear a click sound and feel the tool slipping.

What are the specific precautions for using MS/LS models like the TOHNICHI QSPCAMS12N?

1) When the curled cable is connected to the loading circuit, follow the limit specifications of AC & DC 30V, below 1A.

2) Be careful not to damage or jolt the limit switch when in use. This may lead to a malfunction.

3) Do not cut or damage the curled cable. This may cause an electric shock and/or make the part inoperable.

4) Do not open the limit switch cover. It protects the parts from dirt and dust that may interfere with proper operation of the parts.

5) Do not disassemble or modify the plug, curled cable, or limit switch parts.

6) Do not pull the curled cable too hard or hang the torque wrench with the curled cable.

7) If you accidentally tighten twice or more in one tightening operation, completion signals will be output according to the number of actual tightening. To prevent this, please set the function of double-count prevention timer using the count checker (CNA-4mk3) or equivalent device.

8) The female plug is not a standard accessory. When ordering the female plug, request part number WA5219K.
