In order to use the TOHNICHI QSPCA6N torque driver properly and safely, please read the instructions before operation. Keep the Operating Instruction for future use.

• Do not get oily or grease on the grip part. This makes a hand slipping to cause accidents or injuries.

• Make sure if there are any cracks, flaws or rusts. This generates breakage to cause accidents or injuries. Have an inspection or repair.

• Do not use it for a higher place working. Dropping a torque wrench or socket causes accidents or injuries.

• Do not use it with shortage of parts such as pins, scale plate or others. This causes accidents or injuries by breakage failure.

• Make sure if there is an obstacle around the loading direction. Pay attention not to hit your hands or elbows against surroundings when using a torque wrench.

• Do not use it with over the maximum torque value. This causes accidents or injuries by breakage failure.

• Do not use an adapter to reduce the size of the square drive. This may result in over-stressing of the square drive which causes accidents or injuries by breakage failure.

• Do not make any alteration to the torque wrench. This makes torque strength deterioration or accuracy deviation to cause accidents or injuries.

• Do not drop or give a strong impact to the torque wrench. This makes breakage or change of shape to deteriorate accuracy or durability to cause accidents or injuries.

• Do not place a torque wrench in an upright position. Falling or dropping down the torque wrench causes accidents or injuries.

• Do not use any spare parts except for Tohnichi genuine parts. Contact the seller or Tohnichi and use the Tohnichi spare parts only when making a repair.

• Make sure if the set torque is correct before use. Make sure the proper torque unit.

• Confirm the torque unit before use.

• Distinguish the slip type torque wrench from ordinary click-type torque wrenches. A click-type torque wrench may apply excessive torque if you keep applying force after the click sound. Be careful not to get confused when you switch from the slip type torque wrench to click-type torque wrenches.

• Do not use a torque wrench in the water or sea. This makes an internal structure defect to cause accidents or injuries. Have an inspection or repair if you drop the torque wrench in the water or sea.

• Make a preventive measure for dropping when working at a higher place. Dropping the torque wrench or socket causes serious accidents or injuries.

• Use an appropriate socket to fit the size of your hexagon bolt head. Using a different size of socket causes accidents or injuries.

1. Insert the Adjusting tool into an adjusting hole. Note that the Adjusting tool is sold separately.

2. Set the torque value by using the Adjusting tool with a torque wrench tester (DOTE, TCC models). Turn the Adjusting tool clockwise to increase the torque value, and turn counterclockwise to decrease the torque value.

Note: There is no need to lock after the torque is set due to the adoption of the pre-lock mechanism.

Special Note: If using a DOTE3/TCC torque tester and you do not feel a “click” even after the loading handle is fully rotated, apply additional force by hand.

1. Set the proper torque value. For instructions on setting the torque, refer to the relevant section in the manual. If you purchased the wrench with a specified torque, make sure the set torque value is correct before use.

2. Insert a socket into the square drive of the torque wrench.

3. Place the socket onto the bolt head or nut.

4. Turn the torque wrench clockwise for tightening.

5. Tightening is complete when you hear a click sound and feel the wrench slipping.

The accuracy for the TOHNICHI QSPCA6N is ±6%.

The optional adjusting tool for the TOHNICHI QSPCA6N is available under Catalog No. 931.

This tool is also applicable to other models including QSPCA12N, QSPCAMS6N, QSPCAMS12N, and others.

1) When the curled cable is connected to the loading circuit, follow the limit specifications of AC & DC 30V, below 1A.

2) Be careful not to damage or jolt the limit switch when in use. This may lead to a malfunction.

3) Do not cut or damage the curled cable. This may cause an electric shock and/or make the part inoperable.

4) Do not open the limit switch cover. It protects the parts from dirt and dust that may interfere with proper operation of the parts.

5) Do not disassemble or modify the plug, curled cable, or limit switch parts.

6) Do not pull the curled cable too hard or hang the torque wrench with the curled cable.

7) If you accidentally tighten twice or more in one tightening operation, completion signals will be output according to the number of actual tightening. To prevent this, please set the function of double-count prevention timer using the count checker (CNA-4mk3) or equivalent device.

8) The female plug is not a standard accessory. When ordering the female plug, request part number WA5219K.

• Have a periodical inspection for the torque wrench as it is a measurement tool.

• After use, keep it with taking out dirt, dust, mud, oil, moisture, etc. Failure to do so can cause improper operation and affect accuracy.

• When not using it for a long time, keep it in a dried place after applying anti-rust oil.

• Improper stock keeping can hasten the deviation of accuracy and durability.

• Stop using the torque wrench if abnormal actuation occurs. Ask for an inspection or repair from the seller or Tohnichi.

• **WA5219K**: A female connector for the Limit Switch on LS models.

• **CNA-4mk3**: A count checker that connects directly with a torque wrench with a limit switch. It counts the number of tightened bolts to prevent missed tightening.
