Radio Connections & Interference: DAB+/FM reception can be disturbed by obstacles or other electronic devices. Do not use the radio near medical equipment if interference occurs.

Cleaning & Maintenance: Disconnect all cables before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth – no cleaning agents or water. The device should only be opened and repaired by qualified personnel.

Disposal: Dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations for old electrical appliances.

1. List: Displays a list of the most recently selected radio stations.

2. Preset: Switches to one of the individually stored favorite stations.

3. Mode: Switches the operating mode of the device between Internet radio, DAB+, FM, UPnP, AUX, Bluetooth, and USB.

4. Menu: Activates the device’s menu.

5. Station preset button 1 / Play / Pause: In radio mode, switches to the 1st program memory location. Starts or pauses playback in USB/Media/UPnP mode.

6. Station preset button 2 / STOP: In radio mode, switches to the 2nd program memory location. Stops playback in USB/Media/UPnP mode.

7. Station preset button 3 / previous track: In radio mode, switches to the 3rd program memory location. Selects the previous track or performs a fast rewind in USB/Media/UPnP mode.

8. Station preset button 4 / next track: In radio mode, switches to the 4th program memory location. Selects the next track or performs a fast forward in USB/Media/UPnP mode.

9. REC: Starts a recording of the current radio program on a connected USB storage device.

10. Rotary knob, confirmation button, volume: Navigate through the menu via the rotary knob, confirm menu entries by pressing the button, or change the volume via the rotary knob.

11. Power button (On/Off): Switches the device on or to standby by pressing this button.

12. Back: This button takes you one step back in the menu.

13. USB port: Connect the device here with a USB data carrier such as a USB hard drive or USB stick to play music files from it.

14. Headphone connection: Plug in headphones here to listen to the music played by the radio via headphones. When headphones are connected, music playback via the device’s speakers is interrupted.

15. AUX IN: Connect an external audio source here, e.g. an MP3 player, a smartphone or a tablet with a 3.5 mm AUX jack cable.

16. DC IN: Connect the device to this socket with the power supply unit (included in the scope of delivery) to establish the power supply for the device.

17. FM/DAB+ antenna: Antenna connection for the telescopic antenna included in the scope of delivery.

1. Standby button: Press this button to switch the device on or to standby mode.

2. Mode: Switches between the different modes. This button can be programmed with another function.

3. Mute: Mutes the device.

4. EQ – Equalizer function: Use this button to activate the equalizer function and change individual sound settings.

5. Back: This button takes you one step back in the menu.

6. Navigate up/down – right/left / Volume VOL+ -: Use these buttons to navigate through the menu. Use the buttons to decrease or increase the volume.

7. ENTER/OK: Use this button to confirm an entry or selection.

8. LIST/Program list: Use this button to display the list of radio programs.

9. FAV+: Use this button to add a selected radio station to your favorites list.

10. Control and selection of the music track via USB, UPnP, Media:

• Previous/Rewind: Select the previous track / fast rewind.

• Stop: Stops playback.

• Play/Pause: Starts or pauses playback.

• Next/Forward: Select the next track / fast forward.

11. INFO: Displays information about the current radio program.

12. Menu: Use this button to display the device menu.

13. Rec: Starts a recording of the current radio program on a connected USB storage device. Press and hold the button for more than 2 seconds to activate the timer menu for recording a radio broadcast. In CD playback mode, this button also serves as an eject function.

14. Number buttons: For direct number entry.

15. VOL+ / VOL -: With these buttons you can increase or decrease the volume.

16. SLEEP: Press this button to set a sleep timer. The radio switches to standby mode after the time you have set.

1. Prepare the Remote Control: Remove the battery transport protection from the remote control by pulling the plastic tab out of the battery housing. To replace the battery, open the battery compartment on the back, remove the old battery, and insert a new battery of the same type, observing the correct polarity.

2. Connect the Antenna: Screw the supplied antenna into the antenna connection on the back of the device.

3. Connect Power: Connect the supplied power adapter to the corresponding connection on the back of the device. Then plug the power adapter into a 230 V socket. Switch on the radio using the standby button on the remote control or on the device.

4. Select Language: Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to select the menu language. Confirm your preferred language with the OK button.

5. Set Date and Time Mode: Choose how the radio should synchronize the time. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to make a selection (Auto or Manual). Confirm with the OK button. The device is factory-set to automatically set the time when connected to the internet.

6. Set Time Zone: Select your time zone. For Germany and most European countries, select GMT + 1:00.

7. Set Daylight Saving Time: Switch on daylight saving time if it is currently in effect. Use the arrow buttons to select ‘active’ and confirm with OK.

8. Set Standby Mode: Decide whether the time should be displayed when the radio is in standby mode. ‘Comfort Standby’ shows the clock but uses slightly more power. ‘Eco Standby’ uses very little power, but the clock is not updated and the alarm function is deactivated.

9. Local Radio Setup: Select your continent and then your country to get access to internet radio broadcasts from your local stations.

10. Wi-Fi Network Selection: All available Wi-Fi networks in range will be displayed. Select the network you want to connect to and confirm with the OK button. Enter the Wi-Fi password using the arrow keys or the rotary knob to select characters and the right arrow key to advance. Press OK to confirm. Please note that the router registration may take some time.

Press and hold the Menu button on the device or remote control to return to the main menu from any screen.

Navigate through the main menu using the arrow buttons or the rotary knob. The main menu is divided into the following sub-items:

• Internet Radio

• Local Radio

• DAB Radio

• FM Radio

• Bluetooth

• UPnP

• AUX

• Multimedia

• Equalizer

• System

• Weather

Confirm your selection with the OK button on the remote control or by pressing the rotary knob on the device.

The device can be used as a clock radio, allowing you to set up to 5 alarm times. To set an alarm:

1. Press the MENU button on the remote control or the device and select the System option using the arrow buttons or the rotary knob.

2. Select the Alarm entry in the menu and confirm with the OK button.

3. Select one of the 5 available alarms and confirm by pressing the knob on the device or the OK button on the remote control.

4. In the alarm settings menu:

• Status: Activate the alarm by setting this to ‘active’.

• Time: Set the time for the alarm. Use the number pad on the remote or the rotary knob on the device. Confirm with the OK button.

• Mode: Set the repetition intervals. You can choose whether the alarm should be activated once, daily, on weekdays, or only on weekends at the set time.

• Volume: Set the volume for the alarm.

• Tone: You can select a tone or a DAB+, Internet, or FM radio station to be played. Please note that at least one favorite station must be saved for the selected reception mode if you choose the radio station option.

To stop an alarm, press the ON/OFF button on the remote or the device. To activate the snooze function, press any button on the device (except the Standby button). This will interrupt the alarm for 5 minutes. To deactivate the alarm until the next day, press the ON/OFF button on the device.

1. Press the MENU button on the remote control or use the arrow buttons on the device to select the DAB/DAB+ menu item. Press the OK button to confirm.

2. To perform an automatic station search, press the Back button, possibly several times. If the radio has not yet stored any programs in DAB mode, the search will start automatically as soon as the radio is switched to DAB reception mode.

3. The radio will now automatically search for all available digital radio stations and save them in a station list. The number on the right shows the number of radio stations found. After a successful search, the radio will start playing the first station found.

Station List: Press the “List” button to display the DAB station list. You can then select the desired station from this list.

Manual DAB search: You can also search for DAB stations manually if you know the transmission frequency. Select the desired frequency in this part of the menu and press OK to confirm.

Saving to Station Preset Buttons (1-4):

You can save up to 4 radio stations on a station preset button. Select a radio station you want to save, and then press and hold the station preset button on the device where you want to save the radio station for about 3 seconds. The radio station is saved. You can now access the radio station with this button.

Saving to Your Favorites List (Remote Control):

Radio stations can be saved in a favorites list that you can quickly access using the favorite button on the remote control. You can save up to 10 radio stations in this list.

1. Select a radio station that you want to add to your favorites list. Press the FAV+ button on the remote control.

2. Now select the memory location number where you want to save the radio station.

3. Press and hold the FAV+ button on the remote control for approx. 2 seconds. The radio station is saved to the selected memory location.

You can record FM, DAB+, and Internet radio programs on a connected USB drive. The radio creates a folder named PVR on the USB drive where all recordings are stored.

Instant Recording:

1. While listening to a broadcast, press the Record (Rec) button on the device or the remote control. A red recording symbol will appear on the display.

2. To stop recording, press the Stop button and confirm the prompt with OK.

Timed Recording:

You can also make time-controlled recordings. To do this, press and hold the record button on the device or on the remote control for more than 2 seconds. Alternatively, you can select the Timer option in the System menu.

• Name: Select the radio program you want to record.

• Date: Enter the date on which the timer should start.

• Start time: Select the start time line, press the OK button and enter the time at which the timer should be activated. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control or the rotary knob.

• Duration: Set the recording time here in hours and minutes.

• Mode: Specify whether the recording should take place only once or daily.

Please note that recorded files can only be played back on this device.

As a Bluetooth Receiver (Playing audio from your phone/tablet):

1. Press the menu button on the remote or device and select Bluetooth mode. The device enters pairing mode and searches for Bluetooth devices.

2. Activate the Bluetooth function on the external device you want to connect (e.g., smartphone). Refer to your external device’s manual for details.

3. Search for the correct device name in the list of available devices, select it, and then establish the connection.

4. Once connected, you can play stored music files from your external device through the radio’s speakers. Start playback on the external device.

As a Bluetooth Sender (Sending audio to Bluetooth headphones/speakers):

The radio can also function as a Bluetooth transmitter to send audio signals to compatible Bluetooth receiving devices like headphones.

1. Navigate to the System Settings menu and find the “Bluetooth” submenu. Select it with the OK button.

2. Select “Send mode” and then “Automatic connection”. Then return to the “Bluetooth” menu.

3. Press the OK button to select “Bluetooth devices”. The radio will start searching for available Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

4. Select the desired device from the list by pressing OK. The sound will be output to your Bluetooth receiving device, and the radio’s speakers will be automatically muted.

NOTE: When Bluetooth playback mode (receiving) is activated, Bluetooth transmission (sending) is stopped.

USB Playback / Multimedia:

1. You can play MP3 music files from a USB storage device. Connect a USB drive with music files to the USB port on the back.

2. Press the MENU button on the remote control or on the device and use the arrow buttons to select the Multimedia option.

3. Press OK to confirm. Select a track you want to play and confirm by pressing the rotary knob on the device.

UPnP (Universal Plug and Play):

If you have connected the radio to a wireless network, you can also use it as a media player to play music files from connected devices on the network such as PCs or smartphones via UPnP.

1. The devices must be integrated into the same home network and the corresponding media content must be enabled for sharing on the network.

2. Press the MENU button on the remote control or on the device, and select UPnP with the arrow buttons. Press OK to confirm.

3. Select a title you want to play and confirm by pressing the rotary knob on the device.

You can operate compatible Internet radio services via your tablet or smartphone using the Soundmate app, which is available for iOS and Android operating systems.

1. Start the app: When you start the app, it will automatically detect the radio, provided it is logged into the same network.

2. Select Radio: Tap on the detected radio to start the app.

3. Home Menu: The Home menu gives you direct access to your saved favorite stations and shows the currently selected station. Tapping the station provides more information and access to more functions.

4. Playback Functions: From the playback screen, you can adjust the volume, start a recording to a USB drive, schedule a recording, call up the favorites list, and display a list of all radio stations.

5. Recording: Press the record button to start recording the current program to a connected USB storage medium. You can also plan a recording for a specific date and time.

6. Station List: Press the list button to display the DAB+ stations available at your location.

7. Source/Operating Mode: Use this menu item to select the various operating modes of the radio (Internet, DAB+, FM, etc.).

8. Remote Control: The app has a virtual remote control function. You can use a touch controller (swiping) or a classic button layout to control functions like volume and program selection.

In this part of the menu, you can restore the factory settings of the device. The device is then restarted with the factory settings.

1. In the System menu, use the arrow buttons on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device to select the Factory settings option.

2. Press the OK button on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device to confirm.

3. A confirmation prompt will appear: “All personal settings will be deleted. Continue?”.

4. Press the OK button if you want to restore the factory settings. Select Cancel if you want to cancel this action.

When you activate the factory settings, the device reverts to the settings it had at the time of delivery. All saved stations and favorites lists will be lost.
