Follow these steps to install your AXTEL AX-200 IP Phone:

1. Attach the Phone stand: Align the stand with the slots on the back of the phone station and slide it into place.

2. Connect the Handset and optional Headset:

– Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset port on the phone station (marked with a handset icon).

– Plug the other end of the cord into the handset itself.

– If you have an optional headset, plug it into the headset port on the phone station (marked with a headset icon).

3. Connect the Network and Power:

– Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Internet port on the back of the phone (labeled “Internet”).

What happens when the AXTEL AX-200 IP Phone is first powered on?

After your AXTEL AX-200 phone has been powered up, the system boots up and performs an automatic phone initialization. The phone finishes the initialization process by loading the saved configuration. During this process, the LCD screen will display the following messages in sequence:

1. “Booting…”

2. “Initializing…”

3. If there is a new firmware on your server, the phone will upgrade it and show “Check firmware, please wait…”.

4. The phone will then show “Rebooting, Please Wait…”.

By default, the phone then attempts to contact a DHCP server in your network to obtain its valid network settings, such as IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server.

The AXTEL AX-200 IP Phone supports up to a 5-way conference. To start a 3-way conference:

1. While in a conversation with the first party (Party B), press the Conference soft key. The call with Party B is placed on hold.

2. Enter the number of the third party (Party C) and press the Send soft key or #.

3. After Party C answers the call, press the Conference soft key again.

4. All three parties (you, Party B, and Party C) are now in a conference call.

To add more parties (up to 5 total), repeat the steps: Press New Call, dial the next person, and once they answer, press the Conference soft key to merge them into the call.


How do I set up Call Forwarding on the AXTEL AX-200?

You can configure call forwarding via the phone’s menu.

To configure Always Forward (forwards all incoming calls):

DND (Do Not Disturb)

To enable DND: When the phone is idle, press the DND soft key. The DND icon will appear on the LCD, and the phone will automatically reject all incoming calls.

To disable DND: Press the DND soft key again. The DND icon will disappear from the LCD.

To configure your voicemail access code:
