The main functional elements of the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY vaporizer are:

• Mouthpiece: Where you inhale from.

• Cooling Unit: Cools the vapor before inhalation.

• Filling Chamber: Where you place the plant material.

• ON/OFF Switch: The orange button to turn the device on and off.

• LED-Display: Indicates the status of the device through colored lights.

• Filling Chamber Tool: A tool for cleaning and handling the filling chamber, stored on the device.

• Charging Socket: Located behind the Filling Chamber Tool.

• Type Label: Found on the underside of the device.

The STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY Vaporizer is intended to release fragrances or aromas from the recommended herbs and other plant materials. These aromatic substances are released through vaporization by heated air and may be directly inhaled.

The device may only be used with the recommended vaporizing media. The use of other substances can present a health risk. The CRAFTY Vaporizer is not intended for medical/therapeutic purposes.

The following is an overview of plants suitable for vaporization in the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY Vaporizer and their recommended temperature settings. Only use plant parts that have been verified for genuineness, purity, and are free of pathogenic germs.

The amount of aromas and fragrances released by the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY can be influenced by the following factors:

1. Quality: The amount of aroma or fragrance contained in the respective plant material that can be vaporized.

2. Quantity: The amount of vaporization material in the Filling Chamber.

3. Surface: The finer the plant is ground, the greater the surface and the more aromas and fragrances can be released during the vaporization cycle.

4. Temperature: The higher the temperatures, the more aromas and fragrances will be released at once.

Please note: Increasing the temperature should be the last resort, because plant material tastes more roasted when using higher temperature. If no more vapor is produced at the highest temperature, the vaporization material is completely exhausted and must be replaced.

To charge your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY, connect the USB cable to the charging socket of the Vaporizer and to the power adapter. Then plug the power adapter into a suitable power socket. The battery charge of a new product is up to 80%; fully charge it before first use. Charging a completely discharged battery takes about two hours.

LED Indicators During Charging:

• Steady blue light: the battery is fully charged.

• Blue, slow-flashing light: the battery is between 61 and 96% charged.

• Blue, rapidly flashing light: the battery is between 31 and 60% charged.

• Blue flashing: the battery is up to 30% charged.

LED Indicators After Switching Off (to check battery level):

• Steady blue light: the battery is between 64 and 100% charged.

• Blue, slow-flashing: the battery is between 32 and 64% charged.

• Blue, rapidly flashing: the battery is between 1 and 32% charged.

• Blue flashing: battery is completely discharged.

Once charging is complete, the LED will show a steady blue light. First, disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket, and then unplug it from the Vaporizer.

The STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY vaporizer provides two factory-set temperature levels: a basic temperature of 180°C (356°F) and a booster temperature of 195°C (383°F).

Heating Up:

1. Press the orange ON/OFF switch for at least half a second. The vaporizer will respond with a short vibration.

2. The LED display will show a steady red light to indicate it is heating up to the basic temperature. This can take up to two minutes.

3. Once the basic temperature is reached, the device will signal this with a short double vibration and a steady green light.

Activating Booster Temperature:

1. If the basic temperature is no longer providing adequate vapor, activate the booster temperature with a double-click on the orange ON/OFF switch.

2. The LED will display a red flashing signal while heating up to the booster temperature.

3. Once the booster temperature is reached, it is signaled by a short double vibration and a green flashing signal.

Both the basic and booster temperatures can be altered using a smartphone and the CRAFTY App.

Yes, the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY has an automatic switching off feature to save battery capacity. The device switches off automatically one minute after the last press of a button or the last application. The switching off is indicated by a short vibration and by displaying the current charged state.

You can reset the one-minute timer at any time during operation by briefly pressing the ON/OFF switch.

You can reset any settings that were changed using the CRAFTY App back to their original factory defaults. To perform a reset on your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY vaporizer, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the CRAFTY Vaporizer is switched on.

2. Press and hold the orange ON/OFF button for ten seconds.

3. The reset is signaled by a running lights sequence on the LED (red/green/blue/red/green/blue/red/green/blue). The vaporizer will also vibrate while this light sequence is running.

To fill the filling chamber of your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY vaporizer, follow these steps:

1. Turn the Cooling Unit 90 degrees counterclockwise to remove it from the vaporizer.

2. Always fill the Filling Chamber completely up to the plastic rim with ground plant material. Do not compress the material too much, as this can impede airflow.

3. Remove any excess plant material from around the filling aperture so the area is clean for the Cooling Unit to be fitted back on.

If the Filling Chamber is only partially filled, the vaporization material may shift around, causing hot air to bypass it. To prevent this, if the chamber is not filled completely, it is recommended to place the included Liquid Pad over the herbs before reattaching the Cooling Unit.

The included Filling Aid makes filling the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY an easy and clean operation.

To fill the Filling Aid itself:

1. Remove the upper cap from the Filling Aid.

2. Fill the bowl (including the plug) with ground plant material.

3. Replace the upper cap and close it.

To fill the Vaporizer using the Filling Aid:

1. Remove the Cooling Unit from the vaporizer and clean any residues from the Filling Chamber.

2. Remove the lower cap of the Filling Aid by turning it counterclockwise.

3. Place the Filling Aid on the vaporizer and attach it by turning it clockwise.

4. Remove the upper cap from the Filling Aid.

5. Pull the plug out of the Filling Aid and use it to fill a portion of plant material through the central opening into the Filling Chamber.

6. Ensure the chamber is not overfilled. The plant material should not go above the lower rim of the Filling Aid.

7. Re-insert the plug into the central opening and screw the upper cap back on the Filling Aid.

8. Unscrew the Filling Aid from the vaporizer with a 90-degree rotation and screw its lower cap back on.

9. Re-mount the Cooling Unit on the vaporizer by rotating it clockwise through 90 degrees.

Once your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY has reached the set temperature (indicated by a steady or flashing green light and a double vibration) and the Mouthpiece is folded out, you can begin inhaling.

1. Take the Mouthpiece between your lips.

2. Inhale slowly and evenly for several seconds.

3. Inhale only about half the amount of air you can normally manage.

4. Hold your breath for a few seconds and then exhale slowly.

A very high intensity (or density) of vapor can lead to irritation of the respiratory passages. If this occurs, the temperature should be lowered.

After vaporization, turn off the device by pressing the orange ON/OFF switch for at least half a second. Allow the vaporizer to cool down before packing it away.

To ensure proper operation and pure flavor, the Cooling Unit of your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY must be cleaned regularly. It is easier to disassemble when it is still warm.

Disassembly:

1. Turn the Cooling Unit 90° counterclockwise to remove it from the vaporizer.

2. Pull the Mouthpiece out from the Cooling Unit Cap, rotating it slightly back and forth. Pull off the Mouthpiece Seal Ring.

3. Open the Cap Lock by pulling it rearwards and then remove it from the cap by pulling up at one side.

4. Separate the Cooling Unit Cap from the Cooling Unit Base by pulling the cap upwards.

5. Push the upper Screen downwards out of the Cooling Unit Cap from above using the Filling Chamber Tool.

6. Remove the large and small Base Seal Rings. Lever out the large Seal Ring from its recess using the Filling Chamber Tool.

Cleaning:

• Use the Cleaning Brush, cotton swabs, and paper towels for cleaning.

• For a solvent, use alcohol (ethanol) or warm water with dish soap.

• Do not immerse plastic components in alcohol for longer than one hour, as this can lead to discoloration or embrittlement.

• After cleaning, check all parts for damage and allow them to dry completely before reassembling.

Reassembly:

• Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

• Ensure that all Seal Rings are properly seated. The Mouthpiece Seal Ring must sit completely in the cap and no longer be visible.

• The upper Screen must be inserted carefully into the groove provided.

To remove the lower Filling Chamber Screen from the Filling Chamber of your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY, use a pair of tweezers or a pair of pointed pliers to pull it out.

To insert a new Screen, take care that the edges of the Screen seat correctly into the groove at the bottom of the Filling Chamber.

The default factory settings for the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY vaporizer are as follows:

• Basic temperature: 180°C (356°F)

• Booster temperature: Additional 15°C (59°F), resulting in a total of 195°C (383°F)

• LED indicator brightness CRAFTY: 100%

• Charge indicator lamp CRAFTY: ON

• Vibration CRAFTY: ON

• Vibration smartphone: OFF

• Smartphone alarm tone: OFF

To connect your STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY vaporizer with a smartphone, follow these steps:

1. Download the CRAFTY App from the App Store or Google Play Store.

2. On your smartphone, ensure the Bluetooth function is switched on and not blocked by another device.

3. Switch on your CRAFTY Vaporizer.

4. Open the CRAFTY App on your smartphone.

5. You will be prompted to enter the 6-digit serial number of your CRAFTY Vaporizer. This number is found on the type label on the underside of the device.

After entering the serial number once, the app will automatically connect to the device in the future.

Using the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY smartphone app, you can set the vaporization temperature between 40°C and 210°C (104°F and 410°F).

• In the “Temperature” menu of the app, you can see the current actual temperature at the top and the set temperature in the middle.

• Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust the set value. A brief tap changes the temperature in 1-degree increments. Pressing and holding the button will cause the value to run continuously.

• The booster temperature is set separately and is always added to the basic temperature. The total temperature cannot exceed 210°C (410°F).

• To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, tap on the plus and minus buttons simultaneously.

In the “Settings” menu of the STORZ & BICKEL CRAFTY app, you can adjust the following:

• LED Brightness CRAFTY: The brightness of the LED indicator on the vaporizer can be dimmed using a slider control.

• Charge Indicator Lamp CRAFTY: The blue lights of the LED indicator can be switched on or off for during the charging operation.

• Vibration CRAFTY: The vibration motor of the CRAFTY Vaporizer can be switched on and off.

• Vibration Smartphone: The smartphone’s vibration can be switched on and off in parallel with the vaporizer’s vibration.

• Smartphone Alarm Tone: An alarm tone on the smartphone can be switched on and off in parallel with the vaporizer’s vibration.

• Reset to default settings: Restores all settings to their factory defaults.

• Connect to other CRAFTY: Allows you to disconnect and connect to a different CRAFTY vaporizer by entering its serial number.
