You can use the following power sources for your SPYPOINT FORCE-24. Batteries are sold separately.
8xAA alkaline or lithium batteries
12V external power source
You can use a combination of the above power sources. If multiple power sources are connected, the camera will draw power in the following order: first from the 12V source, and then from the AA batteries.
What are the recommendations for using batteries with the SPYPOINT FORCE-24 for maximum performance?
For maximum performance and to prevent leaking batteries, please follow these recommendations:
Use new batteries.
Use ONLY alkaline or ONLY lithium batteries.
Do not mix new and old batteries.
Do not use rechargeable AA batteries, as their lower voltage may cause operating difficulties.
What are the SD card requirements for the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
The SPYPOINT FORCE-24 camera is designed to operate with an SD card with a memory capacity between 2 GB and 256 GB.
How do I insert an SD card into the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
1. Make sure the camera is turned OFF.
2. Locate the SD card slot on the bottom right corner of the camera.
3. Insert an SD card (up to 256 GB) into the slot, respecting the direction indicated in the diagram.
4. The card is inserted correctly when a click is heard.
How do I format the SD card in my SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
After inserting your SD card, you will need to format it. To do this, navigate to the “Format” option in the settings menu. Use the onscreen prompts to format the SD Card. Reformatting the SD card will delete all photos and videos on the card.
How do I access and configure the general settings on the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
Use the navigation buttons to switch to the LCD display or to change options, and press OK to select.
1. To access the settings, move the ON/SETUP/OFF switch to the SETUP position.
2. When the switch is on SETUP, press OK to open the MENU.
3. From the menu, you can configure the following general settings:
Set the language
Set the date (MM/DD/YY or DD/MM/YY)
Set the time (12h or 24h)
Set the temperature (°F/°C)
How do I adjust the Photo Mode settings on the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
In Photo Mode, you can adjust the following settings:
Delay: Allows you to select the time elapsed before the camera can detect again and take the next photo. For multiple photos, use a shorter delay. Press OK after selection.
Quality: Allows you to select a resolution of 2MP, 4MP, 8MP, 16MP, or 24MP. Press OK after selection.
Multi: Allows you to select the number of photos to be taken per shot (from 1 to 5 photos). Press OK after selection.
Detect: Allows you to set motion-detector sensitivity to LOW, NORMAL, HIGH, or AUTO. Press OK after selection.
How do I adjust the Video Mode settings on the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
In Video Mode, you can adjust the following settings:
Delay: Allows you to select the time elapsed before the camera can detect again and take the next video. Press OK after selection.
Quality: Allows you to choose between 480P, 720P, and 2K resolution. Press OK after selection.
Length: Allows you to choose the video length from 10 to 60 seconds. When selecting a video length over 20 seconds, only daytime videos will be affected. Nighttime videos are limited to 20 seconds to preserve battery life. Press OK after selection.
Detect: Allows you to set motion-detector sensitivity to LOW, NORMAL, HIGH, or AUTO. Press OK after selection.
What do the Time-Lapse, Time-Lapse+, and Hybrid modes do on the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
TIME-LAPSE: This mode allows the camera to take photos at regular, predefined intervals without necessarily detecting a movement.
TIME-LAPSE+: In this mode, your camera will take photos according to the set Time-Lapse delay schedule and will also take photos when motion is detected.
HYBRID: In this mode, the camera will take both a photo and a video at each detection.
What are the ‘Other Options’ available in the SPYPOINT FORCE-24 settings menu?
The following “Other Options” are available in the settings menu:
Night: Choose BOOST for maximum brightness at night, OPTIMAL to reduce fuzziness at night, and MIN BLUR to minimize the blurriness of moving objects.
CAM ID: Allows you to give a name to your camera.
About: Indicates the software version.
Default: Resets all settings to their default values.
Format: Allows the camera to format the SD card. This will delete all photos and videos on the card. Only format the card if you are sure you want to delete everything on it.
Recycle: Allows you to set the camera to overwrite the oldest file when you run out of storage capacity on your SD card.
How do I start operating the SPYPOINT FORCE-24 after setup is complete?
Once the setup is complete, turn the switch from the SETUP position to the ON position. You may also switch from SETUP to OFF and turn the device ON later.
What does the red light on the front of the SPYPOINT FORCE-24 indicate?
In SETUP position: When the switch is in the SETUP position, the red light will flash to confirm a motion detection after you have adjusted your settings.
In ON position: When you move the switch to the ON position, the red light at the front of the camera will flash for 30 seconds. This allows you time to move out of the camera’s field of view. When the light turns off, the camera is ready for use.
What are the installation recommendations for the SPYPOINT FORCE-24?
Recommended height of installation:
The camera must be installed at the height of the centre line of the animal’s body.
Ideal setup for high-quality images and videos:
The target animal should be 7.5 m from the camera to get a better line of sight.
To produce brighter photos at night, there should be items reflecting the camera’s flash in the background.
Please note that the camera should never be directly pointed at the sun to avoid back lighting and faulty detections.
