Do not leave the unit in a location subject to direct sunlight, high temperature (over 60°C (140°F)) such as in a car parked in the sun, or high humidity.

Do not get the unit wet.

Do not allow foreign objects to enter the unit.

Do not disassemble or modify the unit.

Do not subject the unit to strong physical shock.

If the unit is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery.

Keep the battery out of the reach of children. The battery may be accidentally swallowed.

If the battery is leaking:

– Wash off any leaked fluid with water.

– Consult your Sony dealer if problems persist.

If you have any questions or problems concerning this equipment, consult your nearest Sony dealer.

The directions for use described in this manual assume that the remote commander and camera are being used with their respective factory default settings.

In the event of a cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.

Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.

Secondary cells and batteries need to be charged before use. Always use the correct charger and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or equipment manual for proper charging instructions.

After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the cells or batteries several times to obtain maximum performance.

Use one CR2032 lithium battery.

1. Open the battery cover.

2. Insert the battery with the + side facing up.

3. Close the battery cover.

If you open and close the battery cover while the battery is inserted, the indicator may light up once. This is not a malfunction.

The battery may drain faster if the unit is used in a cold location.

Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to ensure good contact.

Make sure that the battery is inserted in the correct direction.

Do not use a manganese battery.

For the following pairing procedure, refer to your camera’s operating instructions as well.

1. On the camera, select MENU ➝ (Network) ➝ [Bluetooth Settings] ➝ [Bluetooth Function] ➝ [On].

2. On the camera, select MENU ➝ (Network) ➝ [Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl] ➝ [On].

3. On the camera, select MENU ➝ (Network) ➝ [Bluetooth Settings] ➝ [Pairing].

4. On the unit, press and hold the Shutter button (for still images) and the [START/STOP] button (for movies) at the same time for at least 7 seconds. The indicator on the unit flashes, and a pairing message appears on the camera screen.

5. Select [OK]. When a confirmation message appears, select [OK]. Pairing is complete.

If pairing fails, the indicator on the unit flashes rapidly. If this happens, perform the procedure again from the beginning.

You can also pair the unit and camera using a QR code.

After pairing is complete, you can confirm the connection by selecting [Connected devices] on the camera’s menu screen.
