The SPYPOINT FORCE-24 has the following components:

RECOMMENDATIONS

There are three power options compatible with the SPYPOINT FORCE-24:

• Standard AA batteries

• Rechargeable 12 V battery

• SPLB-10 or SPLB-22 solar panel with lithium battery

If you connect an external 12 V battery or solar panel (SPLB-10 or SPLB-22), it will become the camera’s primary power source. AA batteries are not required in this case, but if used, they will serve as the secondary power source only when the external battery is depleted.

To install AA batteries:

1. Unlock the camera latch and open the battery compartment.

2. Insert 8 AA batteries into the indentations, following the polarity (+) and (-) indicators.

3. Close the battery compartment.

• Do not mix new and old batteries, batteries of different brands, or batteries of different types.

• Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.

• Replace all batteries in a set at the same time.

• Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to battery installation using a dry cloth or rubbing alcohol.

• Ensure that the batteries are installed correctly according to the polarity indicators (+ and -).

• Always remove batteries from equipment that will not be in use for an extended period.

• Remove used batteries promptly.

• Do not use rechargeable AA batteries, as their lower voltage will generate operational issues.

The battery level is shown in the top right corner of the screen when the camera is in SETUP mode. When a single bar remains, the camera will continue to take photos. However, it is strongly recommended to change the AA batteries before they are fully drained. If a video is being recorded and the battery level reaches 0%, the camera saves the file before shutting down.

The SPYPOINT FORCE-24 requires an SD or SDHC card with a capacity of up to 256 GB for operation. For better performance, it is recommended to use only a standard SD/SDHC card. Avoid using a microSD card with an SD adapter.

Once the SD card reaches its storage limit, the camera will stop taking photos or videos. To prevent this, you can enable the “Recycle” option in the main menu. When this option is enabled, the camera will overwrite the oldest photos and videos to save new files.

1. Make sure the camera is turned OFF.

2. Ensure the switch on the side of the SD card is not set to LOCK.

3. Locate the SD card slot on the bottom right corner of the camera.

4. Insert a standard Class-10 SD memory card (up to 256 GB) into the slot with the beveled corner on the upper right-hand side.

5. The card is inserted correctly when a click is heard.

Formatting the card will erase everything on it. Ensure you have saved any files you wish to keep before formatting.

1. Slide the switch to the SETUP option.

2. Press OK to open the menu.

3. Navigate down to the Format option.

4. Press OK.

5. Change “No” to “Yes” by pressing the up or down key, then press OK again.

6. The final confirmation will show as “N” or “Y”.

7. To confirm, select “Y” and press OK.

8. Wait a few moments and “Succeed” will appear on the screen.

1. Always turn your camera OFF before removing the memory card to prevent files from being deleted or damaged.

2. To remove the card, push it lightly into the camera until you hear a click. Then take it out of the device.

1. Turn the camera OFF and remove the SD card.

2. Insert the SD card into your computer’s SD card slot or use an adapter.

3. On your desktop, click on “My Computer” or “This PC”.

4. Locate your device under “Removable Disk” and click to access it. Then, click on “DCIM” and “100DSCIM” to find all saved photos and videos.

5. Select the files you want to copy. You can select all by clicking the “Home” tab and choosing “Select all”, or by pressing “Ctrl” and “A”.

6. Click the “Copy” icon (or hold “Ctrl” and “C”). To select specific files, hold the “Ctrl” key and click on the desired files before copying.

7. Navigate to the folder where you want to save your files, or create a new folder.

8. In the destination folder, choose “Paste” from the “Home” tab (or press “Ctrl” and “V”).

9. Once the transfer is complete, click the “Safely remove hardware and eject media” button in the task bar, then click “Eject mass media storage device”.

1. Turn the camera OFF and remove the SD card.

2. Insert the SD card into your Mac’s SD card slot or use an adapter.

3. Click on the search tool in the “Toolbar”, click the “Go” tab, then select “Computer”.

4. Locate your device under the “Locations” tab and click to access it. Then click on “DCIM” and “100DSCIM” to find your files.

5. To select all files, click on “Edit” in the toolbar and then “Select all” (or press “Cmd” and “A”). To select individual files, hold “Cmd” and click on each file name.

6. After selecting files, click “Edit” and then “Copy” (or “Cmd” and “C”).

7. Access the folder where you want to save the files, or create a new folder by right-clicking and pressing “Cmd” at the same time, then selecting “New folder”.

8. Click on “Modify”, then on “Copy” (or “Cmd” and “V”) to paste the files into the selected folder.

9. Once the transfer is complete, click the “Eject” icon beside the name of your device, then unplug the device from your Mac.

1. Use the ON/SETUP/OFF switch to control the camera. The ON position turns the camera on, and the OFF position turns it off.

2. To make initial changes, the switch must be on SETUP.

3. When the switch is on SETUP, press OK to open the MENU.

4. Use the navigation buttons to navigate and OK to select. You can set the following:

• Language (English, Français, Deutsch)

• Date (MM/DD/YY or DD/MM/YY)

• Time (12 h or 24 h)

• Temperature (°F/°C)

In Photo Mode, the camera captures photos when triggered by motion. To adjust settings, press OK while in this mode to access the following options:

DELAY: Choose the time to wait before the camera detects again and captures the next picture. Options range from Instant to 1 hour. A longer delay maximizes battery life.

QUALITY: Select a photo resolution of 2 MP, 4 MP, 8 MP, 16 MP, or 24 MP.

MULTI: Set the camera to take up to 5 consecutive photos per detection with a 5-second delay between each photo. Options are 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.

DETECT: Choose the detection sensitivity (Low, Normal, High, Auto). Higher sensitivity allows for more effective motion detection.

In Hybrid Mode, the camera captures a photo and then immediately records a video when triggered by motion. Press OK to access and adjust these settings:

DELAY: Choose the time to wait before the camera detects again and captures the next picture. Options range from Instant to 1 hour.

PHOTO QUALITY: Select a photo resolution of 2 MP, 4 MP, 8 MP, 16 MP, or 24 MP.

MULTI (PHOTO): Set the camera to take up to 5 consecutive photos per detection with a 5-second delay between each photo. Options are 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.

VIDEO QUALITY: Choose between 480p, 720p, or 2K video quality.

VIDEO LENGTH: Select the duration of the recording. Options are 10 s, 20 s, 30 s, or 1 min. Note: Nighttime videos are limited to 20 s to preserve battery life.

DETECT: Choose the detection sensitivity (Low, Normal, High, Auto).

In Video Mode, the camera captures video clips when triggered by motion. Press OK to access and adjust these settings:

DELAY: Choose the time to wait before the camera detects again and records the next video. Options range from Instant to 1 hour.

QUALITY: Choose between 480p, 720p, or 2K video quality.

LENGTH: Select the duration of the recording. Options are 10 s, 20 s, 30 s, or 1 min. Note: Nighttime videos are limited to 20 s to preserve battery life.

DETECT: Choose the detection sensitivity (Low, Normal, High, Auto).

In Time-Lapse Mode, the camera captures photos based on a schedule, regardless of motion detection. Press OK to access the setting:

TLDELAY: Allows the camera to take photos at regular preset intervals. Options are 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, or 30 min. For example, if “5 minutes” is selected, the camera takes a photo every 5 minutes even if there is no detection.

Please note: Time-Lapse mode only applies to photos, not videos. When this mode is selected, the Delay and Multi-shot options are disabled.

In Time-Lapse+ Mode, the camera captures photos on a schedule and also when triggered by motion. Press OK to access and adjust these settings:

TLDELAY: Sets the interval for scheduled photos (5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 30 min).

QUALITY: Selects the photo resolution (2 MP, 4 MP, 8 MP, 16 MP, 24 MP).

DELAY: Sets the delay after a motion-triggered event (Instant to 1 hour).

MULTI: Sets the number of consecutive photos for a motion-triggered event (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

DETECT: Sets the motion detection sensitivity (Low, Normal, High, Auto).

NAME/CAM ID: Allows you to name the camera for easy identification, which is useful for users with more than one camera.

ABOUT: Displays the software version and allows for updates.

DEFAULT: Allows you to reset the camera to its original state.

FORMAT: Prompts the camera to format the SD card. This will delete all photos and videos on the card.

RECYCLE: Allows the camera to continue taking photos when the SD card is full by erasing the oldest photos to save new ones.

INFORMATION ON THE PHOTOS (fixed, not configurable): Displays the date, time, temperature, moon phase, SPYPOINT logo, and camera model on each photo.

NIGHT: Allows you to select the best lighting option for nighttime photos and videos.

• Choose “Boost” for maximum lighting and glow.

• Choose “Optimal” for blur reduction.

• Choose “Min Blur” for the best blur reduction.

Note: Regardless of the mode, the flash remains virtually invisible.

1. Choose a solid tree that does not move in the wind, as movement will cause false detections.

2. Make sure the area immediately in front of your camera is free of branches or twigs that could be blown into the camera’s detection zone.

3. The camera should be at the same height as the animal’s mid-body.

4. The targeted animal should be 25 ft (7.5 m) away from the camera.

5. To produce brighter photos and videos at night, try including stationary items in the background (such as rocks or tree trunks) that reflect the camera’s flash.

The included strap is 2.5 cm (1″) X 152 cm (60″).

1. Thread the strap through the slots for the installation strap found at the back of the camera.

2. Press and hold down the strap’s latch.

3. Thread the strap through its latch from behind to secure it.

In SETUP mode: The light flashes when motion is detected. This allows you to verify that the targeted detection distance is adequate during installation.

In ON mode: The light flashes for 30 seconds to allow you to leave the area after installation without being photographed. When the light turns off, the camera is ready for use.

LITHIUM BATTERY SOLAR PANEL (#SPLB-22): Compatible with all SPYPOINT devices with a 12 V socket. Includes DC power adapter, mounting bracket, and installation strap.

Only use original spare parts and accessories. If your camera needs to be replaced or you no longer have use for it, it is necessary to dispose of it at a recycling center. Electrical appliances contain valuable recyclable raw materials and also substances that can affect public health and the environment if disposed of improperly. Help ensure valuable raw materials are recycled by returning your old appliance to a central collection point. The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive) symbol indicates the camera must be sent to a separate center for proper recycling.

2. Check if the batteries are correctly installed.

3. Install the latest update (available under the SUPPORT section).

4. Replace the batteries.

Turn OFF the camera and turn it ON again.

Low-lighting conditions and fast-moving subjects may produce streaks on the photo. Try setting the “Night mode” to “Optimal” or “Min Blur”.

1. During installation in ON mode, the delay light flashes for 30 seconds to allow you to walk away without being photographed.

2. The camera is in SETUP mode and is detecting movement.

1. Make sure the camera is not pointing toward the sunrise or sunset, which could cause false detections.

2. At night, the motion detector can detect beyond the range of the infrared LEDs. Reduce camera sensitivity.

3. Small animals may trigger the camera. Reduce the sensitivity and/or increase the height of the camera.

4. The motion detector can detect animals through foliage.

5. Verify the camera is installed on a stable tree that doesn’t move.

6. Make sure the area immediately in front of your camera is free of branches or twigs that will move in the wind, which can result in false detections.

1. Check the power level of your batteries, as the night LEDs may stop operating near the end of the battery life. If the battery level is low, replace the batteries.

2. Make sure the subject is within range of the night lighting.

3. To get better photos at night, try setting the “Night mode” to “Boost” to increase the strength of the infrared LEDs.

4. Make sure there are elements in the background for the light of the infrared LEDs to reflect on.

5. Test the night lighting in a dark room to see if you are able to get good quality photos in black and white.

A memory card is required to save videos and photos. Make sure the camera is turned OFF, then insert the SD memory card and turn the camera back ON.

This message means the camera cannot access the memory card. Try the following steps:

1. Turn OFF the camera and turn it back ON again.

2. Remove the memory card and reinsert it.

3. Check if the gold contacts are clean.

4. Make sure the switch on the side of the card is not in the LOCK position.

5. Format the memory card (copy any files you want to keep to an external device before formatting).

6. Replace your SD card.

This message appears on the screen just before the camera turns OFF. You should:

1. Replace the batteries with new ones.

2. Plug the device into a 12 V power source.

FORMATTING IN PROGRESS: Wait until the formatting process is completed.

SUCCEED: This message appears after a successful operation, such as formatting. No further action is required.

1. Try using the camera to reformat your SD card (see the steps for formatting).

1. Free up memory space on your SD card by backing up your photos and videos externally.
