Read the instruction manual carefully and completely before using the product.
Always include the instruction manual when passing the product on to third parties.
Do not use the product if it is obviously defective or makes loud, unusual (whistling or beeping) noise.
Only use the product in environments where Bluetooth wireless transmission is permitted.
How can I prevent damage to health and accidents?
Protect your hearing from high volume levels. Permanent hearing damage may occur when headphones are used at high volume levels for long periods of time. Sennheiser headphones sound exceptionally good even at low and medium volume levels.
The product generates stronger permanent magnetic fields that could cause interference with cardiac pacemakers, implanted defibrillators (ICDs) and other implants. Always maintain a distance of at least 3.94″/10 cm between the product component containing the magnet and the cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other implant.
Keep the product, accessories and packaging parts out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidents (swallowing and choking hazard).
Do not use the product in an environment that requires your special attention (e.g. in traffic). Especially the product’s active noise cancellation can make ambient sounds inaudible or drastically change the perception of acoustic warning signals.
How can I prevent damage to the product and malfunctions?
Always keep the product dry and do not expose it to extreme temperatures (hairdryer, heater, extended exposure to sunlight, etc.) to avoid corrosion or deformation. The normal operating temperature is from 0 °C to 40 °C/32 °F to 104 °F.
To avoid loud, unusual (whistling or beeping) noise and to ensure proper noise cancellation, do not cover the microphone openings of the active noise cancellation circuitry located on the outside of the ear cups.
Use only attachments/accessories/spare parts supplied or recommended by Sonova Consumer Hearing.
Clean the product only with a soft, dry cloth.

WARNING: If abused or misused, rechargeable batteries may leak. In extreme cases, they may even present a risk of explosion, heat and fire development, smoke and/or gas development, damage to health and/or the environment.

What should I know about using headphones in damp environments?
Headphones may be exposed to moisture like rain, humidity, or sweat.
To ensure proper, safe and long-lasting performance:
Avoid contact with moisture and always keep headphones dry.
Do not use headphones in the rain/snow or in the shower.
Do not use headphones in swimming pool, sauna or during other activities with water/high air humidity (e.g. washing dishes).
Do not store headphones in airtight containers/bags together with damp objects (e.g. damp laundry) or objects that can cause condensation moisture (e.g. cold water bottles).
Never charge damp headphones. Make sure that the charging socket is free from moisture and contamination.
If your headphones have become damp or wet:
Dry headphones completely with a dry cloth.
Allow headphones to dry at room temperature for at least 24 hours before using and charging them again.
Do not continue to use the product if it is obviously defective.
What is the intended use of the ACCENTUM Plus headphones?
These headphones have been designed as an accessory for Bluetooth compliant devices. They are intended for wireless audio communication such as music playback and phone calls via Bluetooth wireless technology.
It is considered improper use when the product is used for any application not named in the corresponding product documentation.
Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH does not accept liability for damage arising from misuse or improper use of this product and its attachments/accessories, damages to USB devices not consistent with USB specifications, or damages resulting from loss of connection due to flat/overaged batteries or exceeding the Bluetooth range.

How do I charge the headphones?
The battery is not fully charged upon delivery. Before first use, charge for a complete cycle (approx. 3.5 hours) without interruption.
1. Make sure the USB-C charging socket (6) is free from moisture and contamination. Connect the USB-C connector of the supplied charging cable to the USB socket of the headphones.
2. Connect the USB-A connector to a corresponding socket of a USB power source (e.g., wall charger, computer – to be ordered separately). Ensure the power source is connected to the power supply.
The charging process begins. The LED (5) indicates the charge status (see LED table during charging). A full charge provides up to 50 hours of playback time (Bluetooth with ANC activated).
A 10-minute charge provides approximately 5 hours of playback time.
Note: Use a compatible standard USB power supply. Some units might supply too high voltage and prevent charging. Use a unit compliant with specifications.
You can still use the headphones while charging, but charging time may be longer.
Charging is faster when the headphones are switched off.
How do I connect the headphones to a Bluetooth device (Pairing)?
Pairing is required to establish a Bluetooth connection. Keep the headphones close to the Bluetooth device.
Note: If switched on for the first time, the headphones automatically enter pairing mode.
1. Press and hold the multi-function button (8) for 5 seconds. The headphones switch to pairing mode. The LED (5) flashes alternately white and red.
(If the headphones were off, they will switch on first; continue holding the button).
2. Activate Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device.
3. In your device’s Bluetooth menu, search for new devices.
4. From the list of found devices, select “ACCENTUM Plus”. If necessary, enter the default pin code “0000”.
5. If pairing is successful, you hear voice prompts “Pairing successful” and “Connected”. The LED (5) flashes white 3x.
Note: If no connection is made within 2 minutes, pairing mode ends, and the headphones switch to standby. Repeat the steps if necessary.
The headphones can save profiles for up to six paired devices. Pairing a seventh device overwrites the least used one.
How do I switch the connection between paired Bluetooth devices?
You need the Sennheiser Smart Control app for this.
1. Open the Smart Control app.
2. Tap “Connection management”. A list of paired Bluetooth devices appears.
3. Select the desired paired device to connect to. Ensure the device is switched on and Bluetooth is activated.
The Bluetooth audio connection is established. The app connection (Bluetooth Low Energy) remains active with the device running the app (highlighted in bold).
Note: The headphones automatically try to connect to the last two connected devices on switch-on. Audio playback is only possible from one device at a time.
How do I disconnect the headphones from a Bluetooth device?
Via the menu of your Bluetooth device, disconnect the connection to the headphones.
The headphones are disconnected. You hear the voice prompt “No connection”. The headphones switch to standby mode.
How do I install and use the Sennheiser Smart Control app?
The free Sennheiser Smart Control app allows access to all headphone functions and settings (e.g., equalizer, ANC modes, firmware updates).

How do I properly put on and adjust the headphones?
For optimal sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort:
1. Wear the headphones so the headband (2) runs over the top of your head. Check the L (left) and R (right) markings inside the ear cups (10).
2. Adjust the ear cups (3) by sliding them up or down the headband slider until:
your ears are comfortably covered by the ear pads (1),
you feel even, gentle pressure around your ears,
a snug fit of the headband on the head is ensured.
For best sound quality, the ear pads must completely surround your ears.
How can I check the battery charge status?
Via Smartphone: When connected via Bluetooth, the battery status may be displayed on your smartphone screen (depends on device/OS).
Via Smart Control App: The app displays the current battery charge status.
Via Voice Prompt: While the headphones are on (even during music/calls), press the multi-function button (8) 2x.
You hear a voice prompt: “More than xx % battery left” or “Recharge headset” if the battery is empty.

While playing music, on a call, or in idle mode:
Swipe vertically up or down on the touch pad (7).
Swipe up to increase volume.
Swipe down to decrease volume.
Short swipes adjust volume in small steps; long swipes adjust in larger increments.
When minimum or maximum volume is reached, you hear the voice prompt “Volume min” or “Volume max”.
You can also adjust the volume using your connected Bluetooth device.
Note: If the voice assistant is active, adjusting headphone volume also adjusts and saves the voice assistant’s volume.
What is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and how does it work?
The closed design provides passive isolation. Additionally, the headphones feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to reduce ambient noise.
ANC works best for continuous, low-frequency noise (e.g., motors, fans).
Speech or high-frequency noise is reduced but may remain perceptible.
ANC can be used even without Bluetooth connection or audio cable (as noise protection), provided the battery is charged.
Different ANC modes (e.g., Adaptive, Wind Noise Reduction) can be selected via the Smart Control app for optimal performance in various situations.
If unusual noise (whistling/beeping) occurs, reposition the headphones for a proper fit.

What is Transparency Mode and how does it work?
Transparency Mode allows you to hear ambient sounds or have short conversations without removing the headphones (not possible during phone calls).
It complements ANC. Using the Smart Control app, you can adjust the intensity of both Transparency Mode and ANC, determining how much ambient sound reaches your ears versus focusing solely on your audio (full ANC).
Even at full Transparency Mode intensity, disturbing low-frequency noises (like aircraft noise) remain suppressed.

This allows quick switching between ambient awareness (Transparency Mode) and noise cancellation (ANC).

Dial the number on your smartphone.
If the call isn’t automatically transferred, select “ACCENTUM Plus” as the audio output on your smartphone.
Accepting/Rejecting/Ending a call:
When receiving a call, you’ll hear a ring tone. Music playback pauses.

How does the Smart Pause function work?
The headphones have a sensor to detect if they are being worn.
Functions:
Music playback pauses when you take the headphones off and resumes when you put them back on.
A phone call is accepted when you put the headphones on.
A phone call is muted when you take the headphones off during the call and resumed when you put them back on.
Limitations: The sensor may not detect correctly if:
You wear the headphones around your neck covering the inside of the ear cups.
The inside of the ear cups are covered by objects or hands.
You hang the headphones over a bag edge or carry them inside a bag.
You wear the headphones over a cap, scarf, or hair covering the ear area.
You place the headphones with the inside of the ear cups facing down on a table.
To avoid sensor issues: Store headphones in the carry case when not in use; switch them off if stored outside the case.
Note: The sensor function can be deactivated via the Smart Control app. The mute function will then be unavailable when taking headphones off.
How do I adjust sound effects or use the equalizer?
You need the Smart Control app.
In the app, select desired sound effects via the equalizer.
You can use predefined presets, define sound modes (e.g., bass boost), or create your own custom settings.
Sound effects are stored in the headphones and remain active even without the app or when connected to a different Bluetooth device.

How do I adjust settings for voice prompts and sound signals?
You need the Smart Control app.

1. Connect the 2.5 mm jack plug of the audio cable to the headphones’ audio socket (9). Flight mode activates, Bluetooth deactivates.

To disconnect: Carefully disconnect the jack plug from the headphones.
How do I connect the headphones using the USB cable for audio?
Connect headphones to a Mac/PC/mobile device via the supplied USB cable to play audio directly through them. Headphones charge automatically when connected via USB.
1. Ensure any active Bluetooth connection is disconnected.
2. Connect the headphones to your device using the USB cable (USB-C to headphone, USB-A/C to device).
3. In your device’s System Preferences or Control Panel audio settings, select “ACCENTUM Plus” as the default audio playback and/or recording device.

How should I store and transport the headphones?
Store the headphones in the supplied carry case to prevent damage.
Place the headphones in the carry case as shown in the illustration (typically flat with earcups rotated inwards).
Note: If stored/transported while switched on outside the case, the Smart Pause sensor might not detect they’ve been taken off in certain situations (e.g., hanging on a bag). Switch headphones off if storing outside the case.
How do I care for and maintain the headphones?
CAUTION: Liquids can damage the electronics. Keep all liquids away. Do not use solvents or cleansing agents.
Clean the product parts only with a soft, dry cloth.
To clean the charging socket:
Blow vigorously over the socket.
If necessary, carefully remove stuck dirt using a dry, soft brush or dry interdental brush with gentle pressure.
How do I replace the ear pads?
Replace ear pads periodically for hygiene reasons. Spares are available from Sennheiser Hearing (check website/service support).
1. Peel the old ear pad up and away from the ear cup.
2. Assign the new right ear pad to the right ear cup (R marking) and the left pad to the left ear cup (L marking).
3. Place the new ear pad onto the ear cup.
4. Press the ear pad onto the ear cup so it fixes securely in the notch of the ear cup.
What should I do if I suspect a battery defect or charging error?
If you suspect a defective battery or see a charging/battery error, stop using the product, disconnect it from power, and contact your Sonova Consumer Hearing partner for repair/replacement coordination.

How do I install firmware updates?
Firmware updates are available free via the Sennheiser Smart Control app. Always install the latest version for best performance.
