How is the SPECTERA DAD connected for power and data?

The SPECTERA DAD receives power and data through a single connection to a SPECTERA Base Station (not included).

1. Connect one end of a Cat 5e or higher network cable (max. 100 m, not included) to the Ruggedized RJ45 port on the SPECTERA DAD.

2. Connect the other end of the network cable to an appropriate port on the SPECTERA Base Station.

Ensure the Base Station is correctly powered using its PSU 1 or PSU 2 inputs.


How is the SPECTERA DAD physically mounted and connected?

1. Optionally, mount the SPECTERA DAD onto a microphone stand using the 3/8″ or 5/8″ thread (requires optional accessories).

2. Connect the Ruggedized RJ45 network cable (Cat 5e or higher, max 100m, not included) to the corresponding port on the SPECTERA DAD.

3. Connect the other end of the cable to the Base Station (not included).


What do the status LED indications on the SPECTERA DAD mean?

Yellow (Solid) Connected and RF muted
Green (Flashing rapidly) Identify function active
Red / Green (Alternating flash) Firmware update in progress

What is the minimum recommended distance between the SPECTERA SEK transmitter and the DAD antenna during setup?

The minimum recommended distance between the SPECTERA SEK transmitter (UHF or 1G4, not included) and the SPECTERA DAD antenna is greater than 5 meters (> 5 m). Placing the transmitter closer than this distance is not recommended for optimal performance.

What are the minimum recommended distances when setting up multiple DAD antennas or placing them near walls?

– When using multiple SPECTERA DAD antennas, maintain a minimum distance of 20 meters (≥ 20 m) between them.

– Ensure the SPECTERA DAD antenna is placed at least 0.5 meters (≥ 0.5 m) away from walls or other large obstructions.


How can the E-label for the SPECTERA DAD be viewed?

The E-label information for the SPECTERA DAD (UHF) and SPECTERA DAD (1G4) can be shown on the display of the SPECTERA Base Station (not included).
