When using your PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E, please adhere to the following safety instructions:

AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Before connecting to the mains, make sure that the voltage in your area meets the voltage requirements printed on the power supply.

The power supply is used to disconnect the unit from the mains. Make sure that the power supply is easily accessible at all times. Never handle the device or the power supply while your hands are wet or damp.

Avoid letting liquids enter the device or the power supply. Never place any item containing liquid, such as a flower vase on or near the device. Never spill any liquid on the device or the power supply.

Never place any naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on or near the device.

The product shall not be used in damp or wet locations, next to a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or any other similar conditions.

To connect the mains power, connect the low voltage plug from the power supply to the USB-C socket labeled “Power 5V DC” on the back of the PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E before connecting the power supply to the mains outlet.

Always make sure the PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E is disconnected from the power supply before making any connections.

Take care to connect the left and right channels correctly. The right channel is usually marked red, and the left channel is black or white.

Connect the Fixed output of your amplifier or signal source (such as CD players, streamers, D/A converters, etc.) to the “In” RCA sockets on the back of the PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E headphone amplifier.

The PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E is equipped with a pair of analogue loop output RCA sockets on the back panel labeled “Out”. This bypass output will pass the input signal on, untouched, to an additional amplifier. To use it, connect the “Out” RCA socket to a line input on your amplifier.

The PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E offers two sockets for headphones on the front panel: one 3.5mm jack and one 6.3mm jack. Both headphone outputs can be used simultaneously.

Please note that if you use two headphones at the same time, the output power is split between each headphone according to their individual impedance values.

The button on the front panel of the PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E alternately turns the power on or returns it to standby mode. The blue LED located above the stand-by push button will light up to show that the unit is switched on.

You can adjust the volume to your desired level by using the large knob on the right side of the front panel. Please be aware that listening at excessively loud volumes can damage your hearing; it is advised to listen at moderate levels.

Should you encounter a problem with your PRO-JECT HEAD BOX E which you are not able to alleviate or identify, please contact your dealer for further advice. Only if the problem cannot be resolved there, the unit should be sent to the responsible distributor in your country.
