How do I set up the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD?

Follow these steps to set up your controller:

1. Dock The Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console.

2. Connect the USB-C end of the USB cable to the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console.

3. Connect the USB-A end of the USB cable to the controller.

4. Make sure the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console is on and connected to the dock.

5. The LED on the controller will turn solid white to indicate it is connected. Follow on-screen instructions to start playing.

NOTE: Please check for a system update on the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch system. It is recommended to install the latest system update for optimal controller functionality. For the Nintendo Switch, you need to enable the “Pro Controller Wired Communication” setting. From the HOME Menu, go to “System Settings” > “Controllers and Sensors” > “Pro Controller Wired Communication”.


How do I set up audio on the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD?

1. For audio, firmly insert the 3.5 mm plug of your headset or earbuds into the 3.5 mm audio jack of the controller.

NOTE:

• Only some software titles support microphone or chat functionality. Please check the software user manual for compatibility or support.

• To prevent hearing damage, check the volume on the Nintendo Switch system from the ‘HOME’ screen, selecting ‘System Settings,’ ‘Audio,’ and then ‘Headphone Volume.’ Adjust as necessary before wearing your headset or headphones.

• Once connected, slowly raise or lower the volume on the console by pressing the volume +/- buttons on the Nintendo Switch system until the desired maximum volume on the Nintendo Switch is set for headset use is reached.

• From the ‘HOME’ screen, select ‘System Settings,’ ‘Radio,’ and then ‘Lower Max Headphone Volume,’ and select ‘ENABLE/DISABLE.’

• From the ‘HOME’ screen, select ‘System Settings,’ ‘System,’ ‘Lower Max Headphone Volume,’ and select ‘ON.’

• When the 3.5 mm audio jack is not in use, the Nintendo Switch system supports six audio output. When a headset or headphones is connected to the controller, up to four of the six devices, including headsets, will be outputted audio. Depending on how many controllers with a 3.5 mm audio device are used, the sixth device connected may have no audio output.

• To avoid hearing damage, do not use your headset or headphones for extended periods.


How do I use the audio controls on the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD?

The POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD features audio controls that are built into the controller. There is an Audio button on the back of the controller. The AUDIO button will allow you to adjust the volume and mic mute for any 3.5mm wired headset you connect, and change the LED color. The table describes all available audio controls and the LED notification the controller provides.

NOTE:

• On a Nintendo Switch system, the audio settings will reset when the controller is disconnected (via unplugging or turning the console ‘off’).

• On a Nintendo Switch system, the audio settings are exchanged when the controller is disconnected (via unplugging or turning the console off).

• All volume adjustments happen in 10% increments, and are independent from volume adjustments on the console UI. Each blink of the LED bar indicates a 10% increment.

• When the audio connection is live but there is no audio playing for an extended period, the controller will mute game and chat audio. The audio is still active since it has been muted with a single press of the audio button.

• There are 3 EQ modes available:

STANDARD: Hear game audio through the console audio.

BASS-BOOST: Enhances the low end to create a heavier bass sound.

IMMERSIVE: Enhances the low and high ends to create a more dynamic sound.


How do I program the Advanced Gaming Buttons on the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD?

1. Hold the PROGRAM button down for 2 seconds (A1). The LED Bar will slowly blink blue, signaling that the controller is in program mode (B1).

2. Press one of the following buttons you wish to assign to an Advanced Gaming Button: A, B, X, Y, L, R, ZL, ZR, Left Stick Press, Right Stick Press, or Control Pad.

3. The LED Bar will blink quickly in blue.

4. Press the Advanced Gaming Button (AGR or AGL) that you wish to program (A2 or C1).

5. The LED Bar will go back to its previous state signaling the Advanced Gaming Button has been programmed.

Repeat for the remaining Advanced Gaming Button.

NOTE: Advanced Gaming Button assignments will remain in memory even after your controller is disconnected.


How do I reset the Advanced Gaming Buttons on the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD?

1. Hold the PROGRAM button down for 3 seconds.

• The LED Bar will slowly blink blue, signaling the controller is in program mode.

2. Press either AGL or AGR to individually reset each button or hold down the PROGRAM button for 5 seconds to reset both programmed buttons.

The LED Bar will go back to its previous state signaling the Advanced Gaming Button has been reset.

Why won’t my POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD connect to the console?

A1. Confirm your Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2 system is powered on and connected to an external display.

A2. Confirm your controller is connected to the Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2 system via the included USB Cable.

A3. Confirm the USB-C to USB-A cable is securely connected to the wired controller and the Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2 system.

A4. Confirm that the Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2 system is updated to the current firmware.

A5. For Nintendo Switch, confirm that the “Pro Controller Wired Communication” setting is on. From the HOME menu, select System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Pro Controller Wired Communication.


Why don’t I hear audio through the headset connected to my POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD?

A1. Confirm that the controller is connected, and the LED is red or yellow. If the LED is off, yellow, or white, the audio is muted. Double press the AUDIO button to unmute the audio.

A2. Confirm the volume level of the controller is not set to 0%. Hold down the AUDIO button to increase the volume level of the controller.

A3. Confirm that the headset is working properly. Refer to the manual of the headset or headphones for more details.

A4. Confirm that your wired controller is connected to the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 console. Audio is not allowed through any other output.

A5. Once a wired headset is connected to the controller, it mutes the audio of any other device connected to the console.

A6. Confirm the 3.5mm plug of the headset or headphones is firmly inserted into the controller’s 3.5mm jack.


My POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD is connected, but the 3.5 mm audio jack isn’t working. What should I do?

A1. Headsets or earbuds are software-dependent, if applicable. Please check the software user manual for compatibility or support.

A2. Confirm the Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2 system is in Dock mode and the dock is well-seated.

A3. Check to see if there is a software update for the game.

A4. Check for controller audio mute and volume settings.

A5. Confirm the controller LED is lit red or orange; if yellow, audio will not work. Set to red or orange to check the microphone functions.

A6. Confirm that the software supports chat functionality or microphone functions by checking the software’s manual.


Can I use the audio jack on my POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD with Bluetooth headphones?

A1. On Nintendo Switch™ 2 systems, the audio settings will reset when the controller is disconnected (via unplugging or turning the console off).

How can I connect more POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD controllers to the console?

A1. Use of available USB-A ports on the Nintendo Switch™ or Nintendo Switch™ 2 systems dock.

A2. Utilize an official USB Hub of officially licensed USB hubs to increase the number of available USB ports.


Does the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD support IR, motion controls, rumble, or NFC?

This controller does not support IR, Rumble, IR Camera, motion control, or Amiibo.


Can I use the POWERA ADVANTAGE NSGPAWD with a Nintendo Switch Lite console?

A1. While a USB-C to USB-C cable is not provided, it is possible to use this controller with a Nintendo Switch Lite. You will need a USB-C to USB-C cable. Using your own USB-C to USB-C cable that meets or exceeds the controller cable specifications in the cable specification section.
