When using your PETLIBRO GRANARY PLAF005, please adhere to the following warnings:

• Dispose of all packaging materials properly. Some items may be packed in plastic bags; these bags could cause suffocation; keep away from children and pets.

• Do NOT allow small children to play with, in or around the pet feeder.

• To reduce the risk of injury, please keep close supervision when an appliance is used near children.

• Do NOT use the feeder with pets not able to reach the food tray or with any physical disability.

• Do NOT immerse the base part in water at any time as it may damage electronic components like the control panel.

• Do NOT place any foreign object in the pet feeder.

• Do NOT use outdoors. Check operation frequently to be sure the unit is dispensing properly.

• Do NOT use wet, canned or moist food.

• Do NOT disassemble the unit other than as instructed in this User Guide.

• Do NOT use the feeder for anything other than its intended use.

• Only use attachments recommended or sold by the manufacturer. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition. Do not modify the pet feeder.

• Do not operate any appliance if the unit is malfunctioning or has been damaged. Do not attempt repairs on the pet feeder yourself. Contact customer service for instructions.

• Always unplug when not in use and before cleaning.

• Never pull on the electrical power cord to remove the plug from the wall outlet.

• If the plug of this device gets wet, turn on electricity to that wall outlet. Do not attempt to unplug.

• Examine the feeder after installation. Do not plug in if there is water on the power cord or plug.

• To avoid tripping, always position power cord out of the way of foot traffic.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.

• If the cord set is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord set available from the manufacturer or its service agent.

• Do NOT lift the pet feeder by lid, food tank, or food tray. Lift and carry it using both hands and the base, while keeping the unit in an upright position.

• Suitable for dry food ONLY, with kibble size ranging from 2-15mm / 0.07-0.6in in diameter. Larger kibble may get stuck at the food outlet.

• Do not put your fingers into the food outlet or let your fingers touch the rotor.

• Read and observe all important notices listed on the pet feeder and in the packaging.

Please observe the following cautions for your PETLIBRO GRANARY PLAF005:

• Do NOT allow pets to chew on or swallow any parts. If you are concerned about the power cord, purchase a cord conduit (a hard-plastic protector) at any hardware store to protect the power cord.

• If an extension cord is necessary, one unit with a proper rating should be used.

• Do NOT install or store the pet feeder where it will be exposed to weather or temperatures below 4°C / 40°F.

• Use alkaline D batteries for power. Do NOT use rechargeable batteries.

• Check the batteries regularly. Before leaving for extended time, always replace batteries with new ones.

• **Unlock Button:** Press and hold for 3 seconds to unlock other buttons and the screen.

• **Number Decrease Button:** In Unlocked Status, press to switch between meal numbers. In Setting Status, press to decrease a number.

• **Number Increase Button:** In Unlocked Status, press to switch between meal numbers. In Setting Status, press to increase a number.

• **Manual Feeding Button:** Press 1-5 times to dispense 1-5 portions of food.

• **Record Button:** Press once and you will hear a beep. Record your message (max 10s), then press again to save and hear a double beep.

• **Setting Button:** In Setting Status, press to confirm and enter the next step. Press and hold for 3 seconds to return to the locked interface.

• **Lock Icon:** Lights up when other buttons are locked.

• **Time Setting Icon:** Indicates the feeder is ready for current time setting.

• **Record Icon:** Indicates the feeder is ready for setting the times the meal call will play.

• **Battery Level Icon:** Lights up when batteries are installed. It turns red and flashes when the battery level is low, indicating that the batteries need to be replaced.

• **Meal Number (1-6):** Shows which meal is being set or is scheduled.

• **AM/PM:** Indicates before noon or after noon time format.

1. Take out the food bowl from inside the food tank. Twist the lid anticlockwise to remove it. Pull up along the notches on either side to remove the food tank.

2. Place the desiccant bag into the inner box under the lid. It is recommended to change the desiccant bag every 15 days to prevent mold growth. Remember to remove the desiccant bag before cleaning the lid.

3. Install the food tank by aligning it with the notches on both sides of the tank base.

4. Add dry pet food to the food tank. To prevent uneven food dispensing, add enough pet food to the visible level. The recommended kibble size is 2-15mm (0.07-0.6 inch) in diameter. Do not use canned, wet, or moist food.

5. Put the lid back on. Turn the lid clockwise from the right rotating sign to the left rotating sign to snap it into place.

6. Attach the food bowl to the designated notches underneath the feeder base.

You can power the feeder using the power adapter or with backup batteries.

1. **AC Power:** Plug the 5V power adapter into a power socket and the USB cable into the USB port on the back of the feeder. The LED display will light up automatically.

2. **Backup Batteries:** Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder. Install three alkaline D batteries (not included) in case of a power outage. Ensure the batteries match the positive and negative poles with the markings in the compartment. After installation, the battery icon will light up on the screen. When the icon turns red and flashes, the battery level is low and the batteries need replacing.

Note:

• Batteries are not included.

• Do not use batteries as the only power source; they are intended as an emergency plan for power outages.

• To avoid battery leakage, remove the batteries if you won’t be using the device for some time.

The feeder uses a 12-hour AM/PM format. The time will change from AM to PM automatically based on your settings.

1. Press and hold the Unlock Button for 3 seconds to unlock the screen. The Current Time Setting icon will flash, indicating it has entered setting mode.

2. Press the Setting Button, and the hour digits will flash.

3. Use the Increase/Decrease buttons (+/-) to set the current hour, then press the Setting Button to save and move to the minutes setting.

4. The tens digit of the minute will flash. Press the Increase/Decrease buttons (+/-) to set the tens digit, then press the Setting Button to save. Set the single digit and press the Setting Button again to save. The current time setting is now complete.

Note: The control buttons and the screen will lock automatically after 1 minute of standby.

The feeder supports up to 6 scheduled meals per day.

1. **Set the Meal Time:**

a. After the current time is set, the feeder enters feeding plan setting mode. The meal icon ‘1’ will flash.

b. Press the Setting Button to set the feeding time of the first meal. The hour digits will flash.

c. Press the Increase/Decrease buttons (+/-) to set the hour, then press the Setting Button to save and move to the minutes setting.

d. The tens digit of the minute will flash. Set the tens digit with the +/- buttons and press the Setting Button to save. Then set the single digit and press the Setting Button to save.

2. **Set the Meal Portion:**

a. Once the meal time is saved, the feeder enters portion setting mode. The screen will display P-XX.

b. Use the Increase/Decrease buttons (+/-) to set the portions (Max 50). Set the tens digit first and press the Setting Button to save, then set the single digit and press the Setting Button to save.

3. **Set Other Meals:**

a. Repeat the steps above to set the time and portion for other meals as needed.

Note: The default feeding time of the first four meals is 6:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 12:00 AM. The fifth and sixth meal time is 1:00 AM. The default portion is 0. You can change these presets.

1. In the unlocked state, press the Record Button once. You will hear a beep.

2. Speak and record your message (maximum recording time is 10 seconds). Press the Record Button again to end. Two beeps will be heard, indicating the recording is saved.

3. The recording will automatically play once for you to check the voice you just recorded.

Note: The default meal call playback is 2 times, and it will play when the feeding time is up. The meal call does not play during manual feeding.

You can set the meal call to play from 0 to 5 times. If set to zero, the meal call will not play for the corresponding meal.

1. In the unlocked state, press and hold the Record Button for 3 seconds. The record icon will turn on, and the meal icon ‘1’ will flash.

2. Press the Increase/Decrease buttons (+/-) to choose the meal number you want to set, then press the Setting Button once to save.

3. The screen will display F-XX (standing for playback times). Press the Increase/Decrease buttons (+/-) to set the number of times the meal call will play, then press the Setting Button to save.

4. Repeat these steps to set the meal call playback times for other meals.

Note: After all settings are complete, press and hold the setting button for 3 seconds to return to the locked interface.

In the unlocked state, press the manual feeding button once to dispense one portion of food. You can press the button up to 5 times to dispense 5 portions of food. This action does not affect the normal feeding schedule and portion settings.

Press and hold the Increase and Decrease buttons (+/-) simultaneously for 6 seconds. The machine will emit three beeps, and all icons on the screen will light up, indicating that the settings have been reset.

It is recommended to clean the feeder regularly for your pet’s health. The washable parts are the lid, food tank, tank base, stainless steel bowl, and bowl holder. Clean other parts with a dry cloth.

**To clean the tank lid, food tank, and tank base:**

1. Disconnect power before cleaning.

2. Ensure the food tank is empty. Twist the lid anticlockwise to remove it and take out the desiccant bag.

3. Pull up along the notches on the tank to remove it.

4. Twist the tank base anticlockwise to remove it.

5. Thoroughly rinse and air dry the lid, tank, and tank base.

6. Refit the parts to the machine. Turn the tank base clockwise until it snaps into place.

7. Install the tank and lid.

**To clean the food bowl:**

1. Press down on the food bowl with its holder to remove them from the feeder base.

2. Rinse and air dry them thoroughly before refitting them to the machine.

The “E1” error indicates a food blockage.

1. Remove any blockages at the food outlet.

2. Clean the anti-clog detector.

The control panel and screen lock automatically after a period of inactivity. Press and hold the Unlock Button for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode and enable the other buttons.

1. On the locked interface, the numbers of the meals that have been set will be displayed.

2. In the unlocked state, press the Increase/Decrease button to choose the meal number you want to check, then press the setting button to review the settings for that meal.

If your feeder isn’t dispensing food, check the following:

1. Ensure the food in the tank is dry and the kibble size is within 2-15 mm / 0.07-0.6 inches in diameter.

2. Remove the food tank and tank base to check if the chute inside is blocked.

3. Check if the anti-clog detector at the food outlet is dirty or blocked.

4. Check the power status. Verify if the battery level is low, if the power adapter is connected, or if a power outage has occurred without backup batteries installed.

1. The screen automatically turns off. Press and hold the Unlock Button for 3 seconds to unlock and wake up the screen.

2. Check whether the power adapter is properly connected.

3. If the display still won’t light up when the appliance is well connected to power, contact customer support.

To remove the food tank, please pull upwards along the notches on either side of the food tank.

The first few portions may vary, but this does not mean the feeder is faulty. After about 6 feedings, the portioning should become consistent and even.
