How do I troubleshoot common issues with my NAPOLEON L50N fireplace?

How do I reset the SIT system ignition box on my NAPOLEON L50N if it is locked out?

If the pilot on your NAPOLEON L50N will not light and there is no spark or noise, the ignition box may be locked out. Choose one of the following methods to reset the system:

1. Turn off the power supply and remove the batteries from the back-up battery pack (if used).

2. To reset the DFC Board when the LED is blinking 3 times using the transmitter on/off button:

Step 1: Press the on/off button to turn the system off.

Step 2: After approximately 2 seconds, press the on/off button on the transmitter again. The DFC Board will reset, and the ignition sequence will start again.

3. To reset the DFC Board when the LED is blinking 3 times by cycling the flame:

Step 1: In manual flame control mode, use the down arrow button to reduce the flame to off (indicated by the word OFF on the transmitter LCD screen).

Step 2: Wait approximately 2 seconds and press the up arrow button; the ignition sequence will start.

Note: Starting from off, when you press the on/off button on the transmitter, the ignition board will start to spark after about 4 seconds. The first ignition attempt will last for approximately 60 seconds. If there is no flame, the board will wait about 35 seconds and then try again for another 60 seconds. If there is still no positive ignition, the board will go into lock out mode.
