The main parts of your MOULINEX COOKEO + (PLUS) are:

• Lid open/close handle

• Silencing valve

• Open/closed marker

• Control panel, which includes the Main operation button (OK), Back/Cancel button, and selection dial.

• Cooking pot

• USB port (*Depending on model)

Before using your MOULINEX COOKEO + (PLUS) for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.

2. Read the operating instructions and safety notices carefully.

3. To open the product, turn the open/close handle on top of the lid so it is in line with the open padlock symbol.

4. Install the appliance on a flat, dry, and cool surface.

5. Remove all packaging, stickers, and various accessories from inside and outside of the appliance.

6. Clean the different components: Cooking bowl, Metal lid, Valve cover, Condensation collector, Steaming basket, and Decompression ball.

To disassemble and clean the lid:

Disassembling the Metal Lid:

Hold the lid sub-assembly, gripping it by the seal, and unscrew the central nut in an anticlockwise direction. Remove the nut and then the lid.

Taking the Valve Cover Off:

Hold the valve cover by the middle part (as indicated), then turn gently to unclip it. Clean the valve cover, focusing on the inside to ensure there is no food residue.

Accessing the Decompression Ball:

Turn the ball cover anticlockwise to bring the marker I to the open position. Remove the cover. Remove the ball, clean it gently with water and washing-up liquid, and its casing. Dry the ball with a soft cloth then replace it in its casing. Put the ball cover back in place with the marker I in the open position. Lock it by turning the ball cover to bring the marker opposite the “closed” pictogram.

To reassemble the lid after cleaning:

Putting the Metal Lid Sub-Assembly Back into Place:

Hold the lid sub-assembly by the seal as indicated in the photo. Centre the lid on the central axis and press it flat. Put the nut back in place and screw it down in a clockwise direction.

Putting the Valve Cover Back:

Hold the valve cover as indicated in the photo (grip the middle area). Centre the interior, circular shape on the three hooks, then push to clip the valve cover (you will hear a “click”). The valve cover must be in perfect contact with the inside of the lid.

When operating your MOULINEX COOKEO + (PLUS) for the first time, you will access the settings menu. First, select your country using the dial and pressing OK, then select your language and press OK to confirm.

The control interface consists of:

• SELECT: Turn the main dial to navigate through the menus.

• CONFIRM: Press the “OK” button to confirm a selection.

• BACK: Press the back arrow button to return to the previous screen.

• RESTART: Press and hold the back arrow button for 3 seconds to return to the initial menu.

Opening the lid: To open the product, turn the open/close handle until you see the open padlock sign. Never try to force the lid open if there is resistance.

Condensation Collector: Check that the condensation collector is empty then install it at the back of the appliance.

Steaming Basket: Pinch the stand between your thumb and index finger to fit it underneath the steaming basket.

Cooking Bowl: Wipe the base of the cooking bowl. Ensure there is no food residue or liquid under the bowl or on the heating plate. Then fit the bowl into the appliance, positioning the bowl handles into the slots. Never use the appliance without the cooking bowl.

Note: When using your appliance for the first time, the bowl may emit a slight odour. This is normal.

To turn off your appliance, press the ON/OFF button. The screen will display “do you want to switch off your appliance?”. Select “YES” and press OK to confirm.

To access the settings menu, select the settings icon from the main menu.

• Language/Country: Select this option to change the displayed language and country settings.

• Screen/Sound: Select this option to adjust screen brightness and sound levels. You can also activate or deactivate the DEMO mode from this menu. To activate or deactivate demo mode, you will need to enter the code: 3424.

• Delete Libraries (*depending on model): Select this option to manage and delete saved recipe libraries.

Please note that each confirmation (pressing OK) takes you back to the main menu. Even if sound is deactivated, alert sounds will remain active.

With the manual menu, you lead the cooking. You can choose the cooking mode and time yourself. The available modes are:

• Quick Cooking: For pressure cooking.

• Classic Cooking: Includes gentle cooking, simmer, and browning. The lid stays open for these cooking types.

• Reheat

• Keep Warm

To start, select “manual” from the main menu, then select your desired cooking mode.

1. Select “manual” menu, then select “quick cooking” mode.

2. Insert the bowl, then add the ingredients.

3. Adjust the cooking time using the dial and press OK.

4. Select either “immediate start” or “delayed start”.

5. Close and lock the lid.

The appliance will first go into a “PREHEATING” phase, followed by the “COOKING” phase for the set time. Once finished, it will display “END OF COOKING” and may switch to Keep Warm mode. Beware of steam when opening the lid.

1. From the manual menu, select “classic” mode.

2. Select the desired mode (gentle cooking, simmer, or brown).

3. The lid remains open for this type of cooking. Open the lid and insert the bowl.

4. The appliance will start preheating.

5. Once preheated, add the ingredients and press OK.

6. Set the cooking time. The cooking will start.

7. To stop cooking, press the back arrow. You will have the option of stopping cooking completely or moving to quick cooking.

Note: The function for all three modes is identical; only the temperature differs.

Reheating:

1. Select “manual” menu, then select “reheat” mode.

2. Insert the bowl with the food.

3. Close and lock the lid. Reheating will start, and the time will increase as it heats.

4. To interrupt, press the back arrow and select “yes” when asked if you want to stop reheating.

Keep Warm:

1. Select “manual” menu, then select “keep warm” function.

2. Insert the bowl with the food.

3. The appliance will preheat, and then the keep warm function will begin. The time on the display increases as it keeps the food warm.

4. To stop, press the back arrow and select “yes”.

The delayed start is available for the Quick Cooking mode and in the Ingredients menu (depending on the ingredient).

1. After setting up your quick cook, select “delayed start”.

2. Select the current time.

3. Select the desired cooking end time.

4. The delayed start is now programmed. The screen will show the start time and end time.

Please note: Some foods cannot be used with delayed start mode (e.g., meat, fish, milk, etc.).

The ingredients menu allows you to cook single ingredients without worrying about cooking mode and time.

1. From the main screen, select the “ingredients” menu.

2. Select the category of ingredient (e.g., vegetables, meat, fish, grains).

3. Select the specific ingredient (e.g., broccoli).

4. Select the desired quantity/weight.

5. A screen will ask “do you want to start the recipe?”. Select “YES”.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions for preparation (e.g., “pour 200ml of water into the pot”, “insert the steaming basket”).

7. The appliance will then guide you through the cooking process, starting with preheating.

1. From the main screen, select the “recipes” menu.

2. Choose a category: starters, dishes, desserts, or library (*depending on model).

3. Select the type of recipe (e.g., main course).

4. Select a specific recipe from the list (e.g., beef bourguignon).

5. Select the number of people you are cooking for.

6. The appliance will display the recipe presentation and then the list of ingredients to prepare.

7. Press OK to proceed. The appliance will ask if you want to start the recipe.

8. Follow the on-screen step-by-step instructions to cook the recipe.

To go back to the initial menu at any time, press the back button for 3 seconds.

Saving a Recipe as a Favourite:

1. Select the “favourites” menu.

2. Select “add”.

3. Select the type of recipe you want to add.

4. Select the specific recipe from the list that you want to appear as a favourite.

Preparing a Recipe from Favourites:

1. Select the “favourites” menu.

2. Select “my list”.

3. Select the recipe you would like to prepare.

4. Follow the instructions as for a normal recipe.

Modifying a Favourite Recipe:

The “modify” function enables you to adjust the cooking time and the number of people for a recipe already saved in favourites.

1. In the “my list” menu, select “edit”.

2. Select the recipe you want to modify.

3. Adjust the number of people and/or the cooking time.

Deleting a Favourite Recipe:

1. Select the “favourites” menu.

2. Select “delete”.

3. Select the recipe you would like to delete.

4. Confirm by selecting “YES” when asked if you want to delete the favourite.

• Once you have finished cooking, unplug the appliance to clean it. Clean the appliance after every use.

• You can clean the cooking bowl and steaming basket with hot, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Clean the body of the appliance using a damp cloth. After several trips through the dishwasher, the exterior of the bowl may become discoloured; you can clean it with your scraper sponge.

• After each use, remove the condensation collector and clean it carefully with clear water or in the dishwasher. Dry it carefully and replace it in its initial position.

• To clean the metal lid, by hand or dishwasher, you must disassemble it (unscrew the nut, take off the metal lid, remove the valve cover).

• Clean the inside of the metal lid of the appliance with a damp sponge and check that the manometric rod is properly positioned and not blocked. Rinse with water and check that the rod is mobile.

• Clean the outside of the appliance lid using a damp sponge. Also clean the silencing valve at the back of the lid.

• Clean the metal lid seal using a damp sponge, then rinse with plenty of water. Do not use sharp objects.

• The seal should be replaced at least every 3 years at an Approved Service Centre.

• Do not store the appliance with the lid closed. Leave it in an open or semi-open position to avoid unpleasant odours.

Your pressure cooker is equipped with several safety features:

Safe opening:

• If your appliance is pressure cooking, the manometric rod is in a fully raised position, locking the lid opening. Never open your pressure cooker using force.

• Do not move the manometric rod.

• Ensure that internal pressure has fallen (no more steam is coming out of the silencing valve) before trying to open the cover.

Two safety features for over-pressurisation:

• First feature: the safety valve releases the pressure.

• Second feature: The seal allows steam to escape at the back of the lid.

If one of the over-pressurisation safety systems is triggered:

1. Stop your appliance.

2. Leave your appliance to cool completely.

3. Open it.

4. Check and clean the safety valve, the decompression ball, and the seal. Refer to the Cleaning and Care section.

If, after these checks and cleaning, your product leaks or is no longer working, take it to an Approved Service Centre.
