The front view of the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T features the following components:

1. Do not install the device in extremely hot temperatures or under direct sunlight or at extra bright places. This may affect the LCD and Camera sensor of the device. Indoor installation is recommended.

2. You can mount the device on a flat surface such as a wall or near an elevator, close to the access point (door) with either surface wiring or concealed wiring.

3. The recommended height of the device from ground level is up to 120cm-130cm maximum.

4. The minimum recommended distance of the user’s face from the camera is 30cm, while the maximum recommended distance is 120cm.

5. Do not install on unstable surfaces, near volatile inflammable materials, areas where volatile gas is created, where a ferromagnetic field or noise is induced, or where static is created (e.g., desks made of plastics, carpets).

6. As the device is IP65 certified, it is dust and splash-proof. However, direct contact of water droplets on the lens can affect the FR performance. Do not install the device in outdoor areas where it may be exposed to rain. Indoor installation is recommended for such scenarios.

For efficient Face Recognition, two cameras are used in the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T. These cameras are 2MP with a focal length of 2.8mm. The cameras detect liveness and capture user images. The captured image is used to identify users for Time and Attendance Management.

Before beginning Wall Mounting or Flush Mounting of the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T, follow these instructions:

• Remove the mounting screw from the mounting screw hole at the bottom of the device. This screw will be required to fix the device after mounting is complete.

• Slide the back plate downwards to unlock the device from the mounting hook and then remove it by pulling it outwards. This back plate serves as the Wall Mounting plate.

• The Flush Mounting plate is available in the package and will be required for Flush Mounting.

Wall Mounting: Select a location. It must be a flat surface such as a wall, close to the access point (door).

Flush Mounting: Select a wooden door or a location where a duct can be made. A rectangular duct has to be made in the wooden door in which the Flush Mounting plate will be installed.

For Concealed wiring in Wall Mounting/Flush Mounting, first draw out a sufficient length of the cables from the hole of the mounting plate.

For Non-concealed wiring in Wall Mounting, the knock-out area has to be removed from the outside by pressing on the bottom duct.

This product has a battery, BAT 3V 6.5 MAH LI-ION of Seiko Instruments Inc.: MS920T.

There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

Step 1: Place the Wall Mounting plate on the wall where the device is to be installed and trace the two screw holes.

Step 2: Drill the screw holes along the traced markings. Fix the Wall Mounting plate with the supplied screws and tighten them with a screwdriver.

Step 3: Connect the cables of the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T unit. Lead the cables through the duct of the Wall Mounting plate into the electrical box recessed in the wall for concealed wiring, or through the bottom of the device for non-concealed wiring. Keep the cables parallel to the side of the device body so they do not cover the back portion. Radially curve the cables and lead them through the duct to fit the wall mounting plate easily.

Step 4: Align the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T on the mounting plate and hook it into the mounting slot. Press the bottom side inwards to lock it in place.

Step 5: Insert the mounting screw into the mounting screw hole at the bottom of the device. Tighten the screw to complete the Wall Mounting.

Step 1: Place the Flush Mounting Template on the desired installation surface. Mark the area along the dotted line and trace the four screw holes (A,B,C,D). Now drill the area along the dotted line and the four screw holes on the wall.

Step 2: Place and fix the Flush Mounting plate with the supplied screws. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver.

Step 3: Connect the cables of the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T unit and lead the cables through the Flush Mounting plate into the electrical box recessed in the wall. Keep the cables parallel to the side of the device body so they do not cover the back portion. Radially curve the cables and lead them through the duct to fit the flush mounting plate easily.

Step 4: Align the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T with the Flush Mounting plate and hook it into the mounting slot. Press the bottom side inwards to lock it in place.

Step 5: Insert the mounting screw into the mounting screw hole at the bottom of the device. Tighten the screw to complete the Flush Mounting.

• For Concealed wiring, first draw out a sufficient length of the cables from the hole you have made on the mounting surface.

• Connect the Power cable to the 20 PIN connector affixed on the back side of the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T Unit. The power connector CN1 has Pin 1 for GND (Black) and Pin 2 for +12VDC IN (Red).

• Connect the Ethernet Cable to the LAN port.

• Connect the micro USB port to a Printer or Broadband dongle. If required, use a micro USB cable extender.

When using the device for the first time, you will be prompted to set the IP and Server address.

Set IP Address:

• On the ‘Enter Device IP Address’ screen, you can enter a static IP address using the on-screen keypad.

• Alternatively, you can tap ‘Skip to Dynamic’ to use a dynamic IP address.

Set Server Address (COSEC CENTRA):

• On the ‘Enter Server URL’ screen, enter the server address for COSEC CENTRA.

Set Server Address (COSEC VYOM):

• If you are using COSEC VYOM, tap ‘Switch to VYOM’ on the ‘Enter Server URL’ screen.

• Enter the Server URL and then the Tenant ID on the subsequent screens.

• To switch back, tap ‘Switch to CENTRA’.

1. From the main screen, tap the Menu icon.

2. The ‘Enter Admin Password’ screen will appear. Enter the password using the on-screen keypad.

3. If you are logging in for the first time, you will need to set the password in ‘Choose New Password’ and confirm it in ‘Confirm New Password’.

After entering the admin password, you can access the main menu.

1. Tap the ‘Admin’ icon.

2. Tap the ‘Settings’ icon. This will take you to the settings menu where you can configure options like Door Control, Enrollment, Date and Time, Display, LAN, etc.

To configure LAN Settings:

1. In the Settings menu, tap ‘LAN’.

2. In the LAN Settings menu, you can configure IP Assignment (Static/Dynamic), IP Address, Subnet, Gateway, and DNS servers.

To configure Server Settings:

1. In the Settings menu, tap ‘Server’.

2. For COSEC CENTRA: Set the Server to ‘CENTRA’, enter the URL and Port.

3. For COSEC VYOM: Select ‘VYOM’ as the server type. The menu will then allow you to set the URL, Port, and Tenant ID.

1. From the home screen, tap the Menu icon and enter the Admin password.

2. Tap ‘About Device’.

3. Tap ‘Connectivity’.

4. The connectivity status screen will show information such as LAN IP Address, Server IP Address, and Server Connectivity status (Online/Offline).

Note: If you enable the ‘Auto Add New Devices’ checkbox in the Server, the device will be added automatically. You can also add the device later manually. The status will be online only if the device is added in the Server. Also, make sure the Monitor Service is running.

1. Open a web browser on your computer.

2. Enter the IP Address of the MATRIX COSEC ARGO FACE200T in the address bar (default is http://192.168.50.1) and press Enter.

3. The Login page will appear. Enter the default User Name as ‘Admin’.

4. You will need to set the password. Enter the desired password in ‘New Password’ and re-enter the same in ‘Confirm Password’.

5. Click ‘Login’.

1. After logging into the web interface, click ‘Basic Profile’.

2. Select the desired ‘Server Connection’ – COSEC CENTRA or COSEC VYOM.

3. Click ‘Server Settings’.

For COSEC CENTRA:

• Enter the COSEC Server Address and Port in the URL field.

• Click the ‘Submit’ button. The Web Server URL (Address) will be fetched automatically. If required, change the URL and Directory Name as per your Server Settings.

For COSEC VYOM:

• Enter the Tenant ID.

• Click the ‘Submit’ button. The Web Server URL (Address) and Directory Name will be fetched automatically from the Server and cannot be modified.
