How do I power the KOGAN KATVHEADPHS dock?
To power the dock (transmitter), connect it to an electrical outlet using the supplied USB charging cable and power adaptor. Please note that the dock does not have an internal battery and needs to be constantly connected to a power source to function.
How do I charge the KOGAN KATVHEADPHS headphones?
There are two ways to charge the headphones. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Option 1: Charging through the dock
1. Place the headphones on the dock.
2. The charging dock’s front indicator will turn red while charging and turn off when charging is complete.
Option 2: Charging with the USB cable
1. Connect the USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the headphones.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to an electrical outlet using the supplied USB power adaptor. Alternatively, you can plug the cable into a vacant USB port on your laptop or desktop computer.
3. The ‘Charging’ indicator on the headphones will turn red while charging and turn off when charging is complete.
How do I connect the KOGAN KATVHEADPHS to my TV?
There are four options to connect the KOGAN KATVHEADPHS to your TV:
Option 1: Optical Audio Mode (Recommended)
1. Plug the provided optical audio cable into the TV’s ‘Optical OUT’ or ‘OPT / OUT’ port.
2. Plug the other end into the optical port on the dock.
3. Press and hold the ‘Mode’ button on the dock to switch to the optical audio mode.
4. The ‘Optical Audio’ indicator will illuminate.
Option 2: Auxiliary Audio Mode
1. Plug the 3.5mm (Aux) Audio cable into the TV’s 3.5mm audio out (AUX) port.
2. Plug the other end into the 3.5mm (AUX) audio input port on the dock.
3. Press and hold the ‘Mode’ button on the dock to switch to the Auxiliary audio mode.
4. The ‘AUX/RCA Audio’ indicator will illuminate.
Option 3: RCA Audio Mode
1. Plug the red & white RCA connectors of the 3.5mm to RCA Audio Cable into the TV’s ‘AUDIO OUT’ port.
2. Plug the 3.5mm end of the cable into the 3.5mm (AUX) audio input port on the dock.
3. Press and hold the ‘Mode’ button on the dock to switch to the Auxiliary audio mode.
4. The ‘AUX/RCA Audio’ indicator will illuminate.
Option 4: USB Mode
1. Plug a USB-C to USB-A cable (not supplied) into your TV’s USB port.
2. Plug the other end into the USB-C port on the dock.
3. Press and hold the ‘Mode’ button on the dock to switch to USB mode.
4. The ‘USB-C Mode’ indicator will illuminate.
Note: The TV must be a smart TV to connect via USB-C mode. In this mode, the dock will be directly powered by the TV’s USB port.
How do I connect the KOGAN KATVHEADPHS to a Bluetooth device like a phone?
1. Power on the headphones, then press the ‘Power/Mode’ button twice. The headphone will play a voice prompt saying ‘Bluetooth mode’.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device, open the Bluetooth settings and select ‘Kogan TV Headset’ from the list of available devices to pair.
How do I configure my TV’s audio settings for the KOGAN KATVHEADPHS?
If you connected via optical cable:
1. Using your TV’s remote control, press the ‘SETTINGS’ button and navigate to the ‘AUDIO’ tab within the settings menu.
2. Proceed to ‘AUDIO OUTPUT’ and select ‘OPTICAL OUT / DIGITAL OUT/ HDMI ARC’.
