The NADY AUDIO MPM 4130 is a rugged and easy-to-operate 4-channel powered mixer with the following features:

10. The product should be serviced by qualified service personnel if:

The NADY AUDIO MPM 4130 has an internal power supply and is designed to operate from an external AC source. Power requirements differ by area, so you must confirm that the voltage selected by the voltage selector switch on the back panel is proper for your area. The correct settings are:

Each channel on the NADY AUDIO MPM 4130 has a 2-band EQ with LOW and HIGH controls:

LOW EQ: This control provides a shelving response with 15dB of boost or cut at 80Hz. Turning it to the right adds warmth to vocals or extra punch to guitars, drums, and synths. Turning it to the left can reduce stage rumble, hum, or improve a mushy sound.

HIGH EQ: This control provides a shelving response with 15dB of boost or cut at 12kHz. Turn it to the right to boost high frequencies, adding crispness to percussion from drum machines, cymbals, and synths. Turn it to the left to cut these frequencies, which can reduce sibilance or hiss.

LEVEL CONTROL: This knob determines the proportion of the channel’s signal that is sent into the main mix. It also provides a clear visual indication of the channel’s level.

MIC/LINE INPUT: This is a combo connector that accepts either an XLR or a 1/4″ phone jack. For best results, use a low impedance microphone with a properly wired cable. When a 1/4″ phone jack is plugged into the combo connector, the connection can be for either a microphone or a line-level signal.

To use the built-in Digital Delay effect on the NADY AUDIO MPM 4130, follow these steps:

1. On each channel you want to add delay to, use the DIGITAL DELAY (DD) knob to determine the signal level that will be sent to the delay effect.

2. In the master section, use the three Digital Delay controls:

• SWITCH: This push button turns the delay effect ON or OFF.

• LEVEL: This knob adjusts the overall mix level of the effect sound in the master output.

• TIME (ms): This knob selects the delay time. You can choose from 80ms, 120ms, 160ms, or 200ms of delay for your intended effect.

POWER ON LED INDICATOR: This LED indicates when the unit is powered ON.

TAPE IN CONTROL: This knob adjusts the level of the signal coming from the TAPE IN RCA jacks and adds it to the Main bus.

MASTER CONTROL: This adjusts the final level of the Main bus. It controls the signal that is sent to the built-in power amplifier and output to the speakers.

The TAPE IN and TAPE OUT sections use RCA-type phone sockets for connecting to external audio equipment.

TAPE IN: These sockets allow you to connect a cassette recorder or CD player to the mixer. The signal from this input can be added to the Main output using the TAPE IN control knob.

TAPE OUT (RECORD OUTPUT): These sockets provide a signal output to a cassette deck or other home audio recording equipment. The nominal output level and impedance are -10dBV/600 ohms.

POWER SWITCH: This switch turns the unit ON or OFF. Always turn level controls down before turning the unit on or off to prevent loud pops.

VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH: This switch is for selecting the proper voltage (115VAC or 230VAC) to match the power supply in your area. The rear panel of the NADY AUDIO MPM 4130 features a standard IEC power cord receptacle to connect the AC power to your unit. This receptacle has a built-in fuse holder for a 5x20mm fast-blow fuse. The required fuse rating depends on the selected voltage:

The NADY AUDIO MPM 4130 has two 1/4″ (6.3mm) mono speaker output jacks. You can connect one or two 8-ohm speaker cabinets. The total speaker load should not be less than 4 ohms. Overloading the amplifier with speaker loads less than 4 ohms will degrade performance and may harm the unit.

The MAIN OUT/AMP IN is an unbalanced 1/4″ TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) phone jack that functions as an insert point. It creates a break between the mixer’s main output signal (Main Out) and the input of the built-in power amplifier (Amp In). Normally, this jack is bypassed, and the signal flows directly from the mixer to the amp.

When a 1/4″ TRS plug is inserted, the signal path is broken, allowing for several uses:

• Mixer Only: Use a standard instrument cable (TS) plugged into the jack to send the main mix signal (from the Tip) to an external power amplifier or recording device.

• Power Amp Only: Use a standard instrument cable (TS) to send an external line-level signal (from a preamp or another mixer) directly to the power amplifier section (to the Ring).

• Effects Loop: Use a TRS insert cable (a Y-cable with one TRS plug and two TS plugs) to send the signal out to an external effects processor (like a graphic EQ or compressor) and return the processed signal back to the power amp. The Tip is the Main Out (send), the Ring is the Signal In (return), and the Sleeve is the Ground (GND).
