Please adhere to the following safety precautions:

Read all instructions carefully and retain the user guide for future reference.

Ensure there is no obstruction to airflow around the product. Avoid placing it behind furniture or curtains. For optimal performance, place the unit in an open space.

Do not attempt to open the unit.

This product is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of small children and avoid proximity to your ears due to ultrasonic tones.

Be considerate of others’ privacy and comfort before using the alarm and strobe light.

The product can be powered by an electrical outlet or x4 C batteries (not included). It is designed to be weatherproof and intended for outdoor use.

The controls on the main unit are located under the rear cover:

Ultrasonic Switch: Customises the motion sensor settings (Motion Sensor, Constant, Cont. Sweep).

Operating Time Switch: Sets the device to operate for 24 HR, Day, or Night.

Sonic Volume Dial: Adjusts the volume of the audible alarm.

Frequency Dial: Selects the ultrasonic frequency to target specific pests.

Sensor Sensitivity Dial: Adjusts the distance at which the motion detection sensor operates.

Power Input Port: For connecting the power adaptor (also supports 12V or 24V SLA battery, 9V port).

Notch: An opening for the power cord to pass through when the rear cover is on.

The remote control has the following buttons:

Turbo: Activates all functions (alarm, strobe, ultrasonic) for 20 seconds as an emergency button.

Standby: Puts the device in standby mode or exits Turbo mode.

Strobe: Activates the strobe light function.

Ultrasonic: Activates the ultrasonic sound function.

Position the device where it will be most effective. Place it at the height of the animal you want to repel, facing the area they frequent.

Do not place the unit on the ground, as this limits its effective range. It can be mounted on a wall, tree, fence, stairs or even a mailbox. If mounted significantly higher than the animal’s eye level, tilt the device downward slightly.

For animals that nest in trees, such as birds or possums, place the device in the tree or on your rooftop. The ultrasonic frequency has an effective range of approximately 15 meters, but the closer the animal is to the unit, the more effective it will be.

Ultrasonic signals cannot penetrate solid surfaces, so ensure there are no windows, doors, fences or other obstructions between the device and the area you want to cover.

Note: If installing outdoors, it is recommended that you place the unit at least 30cm above the ground for optimum range. Ensure that the speaker is facing the area you want covered and that the power input port is protected from the weather.

1. Two screws and fasteners are included for wall mounting.

2. Drill screws into a suitable or upright surface.

3. Align the back of the unit where the two mounting holes are to the screw heads.

1. Remove the rear cover of the Repeller by gently pulling it off.

2. Plug the power cord into the power input port.

3. Plug the adaptor end into an electrical outlet.

4. Place the power cord through the notch cut out on the bottom of the Repeller, then replace the rear cover by snapping it back into place.

5. Unplugging the unit will revert it to factory settings. Both alarm and strobe functions will be off and the ultrasonic function will be on.

Note: When operating the unit with the power adaptor, the Repeller will automatically switch to battery power in the event of power failure.

The Repeller uses x4 C sized batteries (not included). To install the batteries:

1. Remove the back cover by gently pulling it off.

2. Install the batteries according to the correct polarity.

3. With the batteries in place, replace the back cover of the unit until it snaps closed.

Power on: When the unit is plugged in or the batteries are installed, it will trigger a red sensor light within 20 seconds. The light will stay on for about 20 seconds, after which the device will be ready to operate.

Power off: The device itself does not have a ‘Power’ switch. To turn it off, unplug it and remove the batteries or press the ‘Standby’ button on the remote control.

The device emits a high-pressure ultrasonic sound that is barely audible to human ears. This technique disorients and frightens away unwanted animals with a siren-like sound.

Utilising a variable pulse generator, the Repeller emits a range of fluctuating sound waves to prevent pests from becoming accustomed to them.

When the unit is switched on, the ultrasonic tone will automatically activate, immediately beginning to ward off pests.

Note: If you have any insects or rodents as pets, it is recommended you keep your pets away from this Repeller.

Strobe Light:

The strobe light will be most effective at night to frighten away nocturnal pests.

A disorientating flashing light at a strobe frequency of 10 flashes per 20 seconds will be emitted from the Repeller.

The strobe light will only function in ‘Night’ and ‘Turbo’ (Emergency) modes.

Alarm:

The high-pitched alarm scares off larger animals such as dogs, foxes and cats (as well as unwanted people) with a sound that can be heard up to 600m away.

This option is ideal in isolated or remote locations, however, short usage in a residential zone for a human intruder would also be highly effective.

If you do not wish to use this function, turn the ‘Sonic Volume’ dial to zero.

When activated, ‘Turbo’ mode turns on all functions for 20 seconds. This can startle an intruder or large animal from entering your campsite or yard.

The ‘Turbo’ button on the remote-control acts as an emergency button. Once pressed, the alarm will sound and the strobe will activate, no matter what mode the unit is in.

To exit ‘Turbo’ mode, press the ‘Standby’ button.

This function will work even when the Repeller is in ‘Standby’ mode and can function 24 hours a day regardless of the operating time set.

To adjust the volume of the alarm, remove the back cover and adjust the “Sonic Volume” dial.

Using the ‘Operating Time’ switch inside the back cover, you can set the device for different periods. It is recommended to use the Repeller in ’24hr’ mode. If set to ‘Night’ mode, the Repeller will not work during the day unless the sensor is covered. Likewise, if the Repeller is set to ‘Day’ mode, it will not be active during the night.

Adjust the ‘Ultrasonic’ switch to customise the motion sensor settings:

‘Cont. Sweep’ will activate a range of sonic and ultrasonic frequencies at random intervals. Motion detection is deactivated in this mode.

To set the unit to proximity sensor operation, adjust the switch to ‘Motion Sensor’.

To set the unit to continuous operation, adjust the switch to ‘Constant’.

The primary feature of this product is its ultrasonic capability. The sensor settings allow you to choose whether the Repeller operates only when the sensor is triggered.

The ‘Constant’ setting enables the ultrasonic function to run for 20 seconds, followed by a 20-second pause, in a cyclical pattern.

For the most effective use, it is recommended to operate the unit in ‘Constant’ mode to consistently deter pests.

The frequency dial lists various types of pests along its perimeter, corresponding to the ideal frequencies for repelling them.

Turn the dial to the setting that best matches your needs. To repel multiple types of pests, set the dial within the frequency ranges of both.

Adjust the frequency slightly every few weeks to prevent pests from becoming accustomed to the sound.

The device can be configured to activate only when animals come within range. Set the mode switch to ‘Motion Sensor’ to enable this feature.

When an animal or human enters the sensor’s range, the ultrasonic and sonic alarms will activate. The sensitivity dial adjusts the distance at which the motion detection sensor operates. Turn the dial to set the desired range.

Some people use the device on their pets to test its effectiveness or to train them to avoid certain areas. It’s important to remember that indoor pets are accustomed to the comfort of your home. While the sound may annoy them, it might not deter them from entering a specific room. Indoor pets feel they have full access to the house. Conversely, outdoor animals are more sensitive to noise and alert to danger.

If you wish to use the ultrasonic device to keep your cat or dog out of a particular area, training will be necessary. When the device activates, use behavioural training techniques to show them the desired response. Demonstrate that the sound indicates they should leave the room and leaving will stop the noise. Note that dogs are generally easier to train than cats.

The device is designed to work in combination with other good pest management practices, such as those given below:

Keep the garbage lid closed in your kitchen.

Store all food in airtight containers.

Pet food and water should be put away overnight.

Repair plumbing leaks and cracks.

Drain liquids and wash recyclable containers before recycling them.

The accumulation of paper products such as cardboard boxes, bags, newspapers etc., should be avoided.

Keep grass short around the foundations of the house and trees/shrubs should be planted away from the house.

Screen all vent openings such as crawl spaces, attics, laundry vents and heating ducts.

Repair and adjust broken or damaged windows and screen doors.

Note: Just like your pet, wild animals will have certain habits and behaviours that can change over time. If they are accustomed to finding food in your backyard, they may continue to come even if they are disturbed by the ultrasonic noise, especially if they cannot find food elsewhere.
