Installation of the KEF CI200QL should be performed by an installer who is skilled in the proper use of hand and power tools, has knowledge of local building and fire codes, and is familiar with the environment behind the wall or ceiling where the speaker is being installed. No attempt should be made to install these loudspeakers unless you are sure you will not be cutting through electric cables, water or gas pipes, or supporting joists. Ensure the loading on the wall or ceiling will support the weight of these assemblies.

The KEF CI200QL custom installation loudspeaker has been designed for dry-lined, stud partition walls and ceilings, and for suspended ceilings. It is built to deliver many years of superb sound quality.
How do I install the KEF CI200QL?
Please follow these steps to install your KEF CI200QL speaker:
Step 1. Using the provided template, mark the cutout area on the wall or ceiling and then cut the opening.
Step 2. Connect your speaker wires to the terminals on the back of the speaker.
Step 3. Insert the speaker assembly into the cutout opening you have made.
Step 4. Tighten the screws located on the front baffle of the speaker. This will cause the mounting clamps on the back to swing out and securely grip the wall or ceiling material.
Step 5. Attach the magnetic grille to the front of the speaker.
How can I paint the grille of my KEF CI200QL?
To paint the grille of your KEF CI200QL, follow these steps:
Step 1. Carefully remove the magnetic grille from the speaker.
Step 2. Detach the cloth scrim from the inside of the grille.
Step 3. Apply a thin layer of spray paint to the grille. Ensure not to clog the holes in the grille.
Step 4. Once the paint is completely dry, re-attach the cloth scrim to the inside of the grille.
Step 5. Place the newly painted grille back onto the speaker.
Where is the correct badge position for the grille on the KEF CI200QL and related models?
For the KEF CI200QL, Ci200CL, and Ci200QS models, the badge should be positioned 26mm from the side edge of the grille, aligned with the left corner.
For the Ci130CS and Ci130QS models, the badge should be positioned 23mm from the side edge and 131mm from the top/bottom edge of the grille, aligned with the left corner.
