What are the safety warnings for installing the KEF CI200CL?
Installation of the KEF CI200CL should be performed by an installer who is skilled in the proper use of hand and power tools, has knowledge of local building and fire codes, and is familiar with the environment behind the wall or ceiling where the speaker is being installed. No attempt should be made to install these loudspeakers unless you are sure you will not be cutting through electric cables, water or gas pipes, or supporting joists. Ensure the loading on the wall or ceiling will support the weight of these assemblies.
What type of walls and ceilings is the KEF CI200CL designed for?
The KEF CI200CL has been designed for dry-lined, stud partition walls and ceilings and for suspended ceilings.
How do I install the KEF CI200CL?
Step 1. Use the provided template to mark the cut-out on the ceiling or wall, then cut the opening.
Step 2. Connect the speaker cables to the terminals on the back of the speaker.
Step 3. Insert the KEF CI200CL into the opening you have cut.
Step 4. Tighten the screws on the front of the speaker baffle. This will cause the mounting clamps on the back to swing out and secure the speaker in place. Do not overtighten.
Step 5. Attach the magnetic grille to the front of the speaker.
Step 6. The installation is now complete.
How do I paint the grille of my KEF CI200CL?
Step 1. Carefully remove the magnetic grille from the speaker.
Step 2. Spray paint the grille with your desired color. Apply a thin coat of paint.
Step 3. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Step 4. If any of the grille perforations are blocked with paint, use a pin or a similar sharp object to clear them.
Step 5. Once the paint is dry and the perforations are clear, align the grille with the speaker and reattach it.
Step 6. Your KEF CI200CL now has a custom-painted grille.
