Work Area Safety:

Electrical Safety:

To check the user interface:

1. Push and hold the start/stop button.

2. The product is on when the LED is on. The product is off when the LED is out.

To check the power trigger and power trigger lockout:

1. Start the product.

2. Push the power trigger lockout up.

3. Push the power trigger up and apply full power.

4. Release the power trigger and make sure that the return spring operates correctly. The blade must stop in less than 1 second.

5. Stop the product.

6. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

7. Release the power trigger lockout and make sure that its return spring operates correctly. The blade must stop in less than 1 second.

To check the hand guard:

1. Stop the product and remove the battery.

2. Check that the hand guard is attached correctly and examine it for damages.

To check the blades and blade guards:

1. Stop the product and remove the battery.

2. Put on protective gloves.

3. Make sure that the blades and blade guard are not damaged or twisted. Replace them if they are damaged or bent.

Battery Safety:

• Do not use a damaged or modified battery pack. It may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion, or risk of injury.

• Do not expose the battery pack to fire or temperatures above 130°C (265°F) as it may cause an explosion.

• Only use the BLi100 battery. The battery is software encrypted.

• Do not connect the battery terminals to metal objects like keys, coins, or screws to avoid a short circuit.

• Keep the battery away from sunlight, heat, rain, and wet conditions.

• If the battery leaks, do not let the liquid touch your body or eyes. If contact occurs, clean the area with a large quantity of water and soap, and get medical aid.

• Use the battery in temperatures between -10°C (14°F) and 40°C (114°F).

• Do not clean the battery or charger with water.

Battery Charger Safety:

• Use an approved grounded mains socket that is not damaged.

• Do not use other battery chargers than the one supplied for your product.

• Do not lift the charger by the power cord. To disconnect, pull the plug, not the cord.

• Keep all cables away from water, oil, and sharp edges.

• Only charge the battery indoors in a location with good airflow and away from sunlight. Do not charge the battery outdoors or in wet conditions.

• Only use the battery charger where the temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F).

• Do not put objects into the cooling slots of the battery charger.

To connect the battery charger:

1. Connect the battery charger to the voltage and frequency specified on the rating plate.

2. Put the plug in a grounded socket outlet. The LED on the battery charger flashes green one time.

To install the battery:

1. Fully charge the battery.

2. Put the battery into the battery holder of the product.

3. Make sure the battery is installed correctly. If it cannot move easily, the installation is not correct.

4. Make sure the battery locks into position. You will hear a click when the battery locks.

To charge the battery:

1. Charge the battery if it is the first time you use it. A new battery is only 30% charged.

2. Make sure the battery is dry and put it in the battery charger.

3. Make sure the green charging light on the charger comes on.

4. When all LEDs on the battery come on, it is fully charged.

To start the product:

1. Push and hold the start/stop button until the green LED comes on. Do not push the power trigger or lockout at the same time.

2. Push and hold the power trigger lockout on the front handle.

3. To apply full speed, push the power trigger fully.

To operate the product:

1. Start near the ground and move the product up along the hedge when you cut the sides.

2. Adjust the speed to align with the work load.

3. Hold the product near your body for a stable work position.

4. Make sure that the tip of the cutting equipment does not touch the ground.

5. Be careful and work slowly until all the branches are correctly cut.

To stop the product:

1. Release the power trigger or the power trigger lockout.

2. Push the start/stop button until the green LED goes out.

3. Push the release buttons on the battery and pull the battery out.

To select the cutting speed:

The product has a mode button with 3 speed levels to limit the maximum speed. A lower level increases the operation time.

1. Push the mode button to set a limit to the maximum speed. The white LEDs will come on.

2. Press the Mode button again to choose the next speed level.

• Use level 1 and level 2 if the operation does not require full speed/full power.

• If the operation condition requires full speed/full power, use level 3.

To adjust the angle of the rear handle:

For the best operation position, the rear handle can be adjusted in 5 different positions. The bottom of the rear handle should point down during operation.
