What is the function of the kit regarding main bearing bores?
Kit reduces 351W main bearing bores to 351C diameter in production 351W or Ford Racing M-6010-A351/B351/A58 cylinder blocks.
What main bearings should be used with this kit?
Use with M-6333-A351 main bearings.
How are the bearings located and held in place?
The bearings do not have locating tangs and the spacers do not have tang slots. The bearings are located longitudinally by eye and held in place by crush from the bearing cap/main saddle fit.
What crankshafts does the spacer kit thrust flange width accommodate, and what is recommended for Ford Racing steel cranks?
The spacer kit thrust flange width accommodates the Ford Racing M-6303-E351 low cost cast crankshaft. For Ford Racing steel cranks, use Federal Mogul spacer kit # 147MSEMI which has .015″ less thrust flange width.
What are the installation requirements for the spacers?
The spacers must be installed, align bored and plateau honed (Ra 16mu In) to 2.9417″ / 2.9425″.
