How do I replace the print head on a printer WITH an LCD screen?
1. Press the Maintenance button (wrench/screwdriver icon) on the printer.
2. Select [Maintenance] on the screen and press the OK button.
3. Select [Start replacement] and press the OK button.
4. Open the printer cover.
5. The print head holder moves to the replacement position. If it does not move to the replacement position, press the OK button.
6. Open the print head lock lever.
7. Remove the old print head from the holder.
8. Unpack the new print head.
9. Remove the protective cap from the new print head.
10. Insert the new print head.
11. Close the print head lock lever.
12. Close the printer cover.
How do I replace the print head on a printer WITHOUT an LCD screen?
1. Open the printer cover.
2. The print head holder moves to the replacement position. If it does not move to the replacement position, press the RESUME button.
3. Open the print head lock lever.
4. Remove the old print head from the holder.
5. Unpack the new print head.
6. Remove the protective cap from the new print head.
7. Insert the new print head.
8. Close the print head lock lever.
9. Close the printer cover.
What if the inside of my printer looks different from the instruction images?
The images of the printer’s interior shown may look a little different from the actual printer you have. For some printers, each print head has its own holder. The instructions also apply to these printers with separate print head holders.
