The recommendations for the computer system are:

Computer with Dual core HyperThreading processor or better.

Graphic card with performance that matches or is better than the resolution of the camera.

Windows 10 or later.

Network access.

Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.

Application software, for example, Video Security Client, Bosch Video Client or BVMS.

The unit must have a valid IP address and a compatible subnet mask to operate on your network. By default, DHCP is pre-set at the factory to On and so your DHCP server assigns an IP address. With no DHCP server, the default address is automatically assigned via link-local address.

1. Start the web browser.

2. Enter the IP address of the device as the URL.

3. During the initial installation, confirm any security questions that show.

The device is password-protected. The first time that any user accesses the device, the device will prompt the user to set a password at the service level. Make sure the password obeys these conditions:

8 to 19 characters in length.

Upper and lower case letters.

Minimum of 1 digit.

Minimum of 1 special character.

Special characters not allowed: ‘@’, ‘&’, ‘<', '>‘, ‘:’, ‘+’.

After the connection is established, the Live page is initially displayed. It shows the live video image on the right of the browser window. To view a live stream of the selected video channel:

1. On the left side of the browser, expand the Connection group if necessary.

2. Click the Stream drop-down arrow to see the options.

3. Select the stream you wish to view.

To export recorded video, follow these steps on the Playback page:

1. Expand the Export group on the left side of the browser if necessary.

2. Select a track in the track list or in the search results.

3. The start and stop date and time are filled for the selected track. If necessary, change the times.

4. In the Time lapse drop-down box, select Original to export the recorded video as its original, or Condensed to export the recorded video condensed to the given output time.

5. In the Location drop-down box, select a target.

6. Click Export to save the video track.

To create a new user, navigate to Configuration > General > User Management and follow these steps:

1. Click Add in the section below Authentication modes.

2. In the box User, fill in the User name (minimum 5, maximum 31 characters).

3. Select the appropriate Group (authorization level: live, user, IVA configuration, or service).

4. Select either Password (minimum 8, maximum 19 characters) or Certificate.

5. Click Set to confirm and create a new user.

Navigate to Configuration > General > Date/Time. Ensure recording is stopped before syncing. Enter the current time or click the “Sync to PC” button to copy your computer’s system time to the camera.

In the Configuration > Camera > Installer Menu, you can adjust the following:

Sensor mode: Specify the base resolution and frame rates (50 Hz or 60 Hz) to match mains power frequency.

Image rotation: Select 0°, 90° (upright), 180°, or 270° (upright). Upright modes are good for vertical scenes like hallways.

Mirror image: Select On to output a mirror image.

Camera LED: Enable, Disable, or set to Auto disable.

Reboot device: Click Reboot to restart the device.

Factory defaults: Click Defaults to restore all settings to their defaults.

The available White Balance options in the Configuration > Camera > Color menu are:

Navigate to Configuration > Camera > Privacy Masks. A total of eight masks can be in view at the same time.

To configure a Privacy mask:

1. Select the mask number from the drop-down list.

2. Click the plus button.

3. Adjust the mask in the image by double-clicking on edges to add/remove nodes, and dragging nodes to position them.

4. Check the Enabled check box to activate the related mask.

5. Click the Set button to apply the changes.

To delete a Privacy mask:

1. Select the mask number.

2. Click the trashcan icon.

3. Click the Set button.

Formatting the storage media deletes all data and recreates a valid file structure. Navigate to Configuration > Recording > Storage Management.

1. Click a storage medium in the Managed storage media list to select it.

2. Click Edit below the list.

3. Click Format in the new window to delete all recordings in the storage medium.

4. Click OK to close the window.

5. Click Set to apply the changes.

Navigate to Configuration > Service > Maintenance.

1. First, store the firmware file on your hard disk.

2. Enter the full path for the firmware file in the field or click Browse… to locate and select the file.

3. Click Upload to begin transferring the file to the device. The progress bar allows monitoring of the transfer.

4. The new firmware is unpacked and the Flash memory is reprogrammed. When the upload is completed successfully, the device reboots automatically.

A factory default deletes all camera settings including passwords, network settings, and image settings. To perform a hardware reset:

1. Apply power to the camera.

2. Find the hardware reset button on the camera block (remove the camera bubble to access it).

3. Push and hold the reset button for more than 10 seconds. The red LED indicator on the device will begin flashing.

4. Let the camera complete a self-check. When the self-check completes, the red LED will turn off.

5. Search again for the IP address, access the camera via browser, and set the initial password.

Navigate to Configuration > Camera > Positioning.

1. Enter values for tilt angle, roll angle, height, and focal length if known.

2. For unknown values, select the Calculate check box.

3. Place calibration elements on the camera image:

– Click the vertical line icon to place a vertical line (e.g., door frame) across the image.

– Click the line on ground icon to place a line across the ground (e.g., road marking).

– Click the angle on ground icon to place an angle on the ground.

4. Adjust the elements: Enter the real size of the line or angle in the corresponding box, and drag lines/nodes to position them correctly in the image.

Navigate to Configuration > Alarm > Alarm Email.

1. Select On for “Send alarm e-mail”.

2. Enter the “Mail server IP address”.

3. Select the “SMTP port”.

4. Enter the “SMTP user name” and “SMTP password”.

5. Select the Format (Standard with JPEG or SMS).

6. Enter the “Destination address” and “Sender address”.

7. Click “Send Now” to test the email function.

8. Click Set to apply the changes.

Navigate to Configuration > Service > Logging and select the Software Sealing tab. Select the “Enable software sealing” check box to enable software protection that prevents users from adjusting camera settings and protects the camera from unauthorized access.
