To ensure safe operation of your BLUE STAR SUPER COOLER SC375F, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

Electrical Safety:

1. Do not modify the power cord length, share the outlet with other appliances, or replace the cord with a damaged or unspecified one. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service person.

2. Ensure the plug is inserted into the power socket properly to prevent electric shock or fire from heat generation.

3. Do not switch the cooler ON/OFF with wet hands.

4. Use a dedicated power socket. Do not use an extension cord to avoid overloading.

5. This appliance must be grounded (earthed) to reduce the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about proper grounding.

6. The operating voltage range is 187-242V. To protect the compressor, use a voltage stabilizer of at least 500W if the voltage is outside this range.

7. Use an individual single-phase socket reliably connected to a grounding wire. The grounding wire should not be connected to a water or gas pipe.

Usage and Handling:

1. Never splash water on the cooler, as it may cause a short circuit.

2. To unplug, always grip the plug firmly and pull it straight out from the outlet. Do not pull on the power cord.

3. When moving the cooler, be careful not to roll over or damage the power cord.

4. Unplug the cooler before cleaning or for other requirements. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

Please observe the following cautions for optimal performance and safety:

1. Before use, ensure the cooler is properly installed and located according to the installation instructions.

2. After the cooler is in operation, avoid touching the cold surfaces inside, especially with damp or wet hands, as skin can adhere to them.

3. If you disconnect the plug, wait at least 10 minutes before reconnecting it to prevent operational failure.

4. Do not install the cooler in a wet place or where it may be splashed with water or rain.

5. Unpack all packages before use. When moving the cooler, do not bend it over more than 60°.

6. Install the cooler in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry environment, away from corrosive gases, heat sources, and direct sunlight. Maintain a space of more than 10cm between the wall and the back of the cooler.

7. During initial operation, let the cooler run empty for about one hour before storing food in it.

8. To save energy, avoid opening the door frequently or leaving it open for long periods.

9. Keep the surface and inside of the cooler dry and clean to prevent rust.

10. Periodical cleaning is recommended, ideally every 30-45 days. Use a soft cloth with neutral soap or detergent.

Failure to comply with installation instructions may result in high energy consumption and void the warranty.

Initial Steps:

1. After unpacking, check the cabinet for any damage that may have occurred during transportation.

2. Always install the cooler on a stable and level surface. Use the 2 adjustable feet at the front to level the unit, checking with a spirit level if available. Improper leveling can lead to cabin deformation and affect performance.

Placement – Do NOT place the cooler:

• In direct sunlight or near heat sources like radiators or stoves.

• Outdoors without proper protection from rain, moisture, and other elements.

• In weather conditions for which it is not certified.

• In extreme environmental conditions, such as areas with saline humidity or potential water accumulation.

• On a surface angled by more than 5°.

• Under a roof-mounted ventilation system or near air streams.

Pre-Operation:

1. The cooler must stand upright for at least 1 hour after transportation before starting. This allows the compressor oil to settle. If the unit was excessively tilted, allow 3 hours before operation.

2. Ensure proper ventilation by allowing a minimum gap of 100mm at the top, approximately 100mm at the rear (use the provided rear spacer), and 50mm at the sides. Do not place anything on top of the cooler.

Connect the unit to a power supply on a minimum 10A fused and grounded socket.

Do not connect the merchandiser to:

• A non-grounded wall socket or power line.

• Improper supply voltage and frequency.

• A power supply that does not comply with safety regulations or current electrical installation legislation.

Important Cord Information:

• Do not plug the cooler into a multiple outlet strip or use extension cables.

• If the supplied mains cord is not long enough, do not replace it yourself. Ask an authorized electrician to replace it with a longer one.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service provider, or a similarly qualified person.

• Route power cables so they are protected from damage and do not pose a tripping risk.

Relocation of the Unit:

1. Empty the cooler of all products.

2. Unplug the unit from the mains supply.

3. Fully extract the levelling feet.

4. Move the unit to the desired location with the help of another person.

Never reposition the unit when it is loaded with products.

Adjusting the Shelf (not applicable to units with plastic inner liner):

1. First, unload the shelf completely.

2. Lift the shelf and unclip the four shelf clips.

3. Place the clips in the desired new position.

4. Reposition the shelf, ensuring the horizontal metal rods at the bottom of the shelf are located between the front and back shelf clips.

NEVER REPOSITION A SHELF WHEN IT IS LOADED WITH PRODUCTS.

To minimize power consumption and improve performance, follow these tips:

• Load the unit at night for better cooling by day, as cooling consumes less power when the ambient temperature is lower.

• Store your back-up stock in a cool and/or dark place so that when reloaded, the unit will need much less time to cool the products down.

• Wipe any moisture off the products before you place them in the unit.

• Avoid opening the door for long periods or leaving it open.

• After one year, the fluorescent tubes emit 30% less light. Call a service technician to replace them if you wish to have stronger lighting.

Before proceeding with any cleaning or maintenance, unplug the cooler.

• It is important to clean the cooler twice a year to avoid mould formation and odours.

• The interior of the unit should be cleaned with a mildly soapy cloth, and the glass surface can be cleaned using a window-cleaning agent.

• Never use a water hose or a high-pressure jet to clean the cooler.

• Do not remove any safety devices (grates, guards, groundings, etc.).

• Keep the cooler in a stable position during cleaning; do not step on or lean over it.

• Do not clean with sharp objects, flammable or corrosive liquids, or sprays.

• If a bottle breaks and liquid spills inside or around the appliance, unplug the cooler before cleaning. Take necessary precautions to protect yourself from broken glass, such as using protective gloves.

• Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
