Please follow these safety notes and cautions for your BLUE STAR SUPER COOLER SC1000F-B:

Electrical Safety:

1. Do not modify the power cord length or share the outlet with other appliances. Use only the specified power cord. If damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service person.

2. Plug into the power socket properly. A loose plug can cause electric shock or fire.

3. Do not switch the Super Cooler ON/OFF with wet hands to avoid electric shock.

4. Use a dedicated power socket. Do not use an extension cord to prevent overloading.

5. This appliance must be grounded (earthed) to reduce the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you have doubts about proper grounding.

6. Never unplug the Super Cooler by pulling the power cord. Grip the plug firmly and pull it straight out.

7. The operating voltage range is 187-242V. To protect the compressor from damage due to voltage fluctuations, equip it with a voltage stabilizer of at least 500W.

8. The power plug must be accessible for quick disconnection in case of an accident.

Usage and Handling:

1. Never splash water on your Super Cooler, as it may cause a short circuit.

2. When moving the appliance, be careful not to roll over or damage the power cord.

3. Unplug the power cord before cleaning. Never touch the plug with wet hands.

4. Do not damage, process, pull out, or twist the power cord.

5. Do not place lit candles inside the Super Cooler.

6. Do not use or store inflammable materials like ether, benzene, alcohol, medicine, LP gas, or sprays near or in the Super Cooler.

7. If you detect a strange smell or smoke, disconnect the power plug immediately and contact a service center.

8. Do not store strong base, strong acid, organic solvents, corrosive goods, or items that can easily pollute food in the showcase.

9. Do not raise the showcase or the shell of the electric parts.

10. After the Super Cooler is in operation, do not touch the cold surfaces inside, especially with wet or damp hands, as skin could adhere to them.

11. Wait for 10 minutes or longer before reconnecting the plug to avoid operational failure.

12. When transporting and installing, ensure no parts of the refrigerating circuits are damaged. If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or ignition sources and ventilate the room for several minutes.

For proper installation of your BLUE STAR SUPER COOLER SC1000F-B, follow these steps:

1. After unpacking, check the cabinet for any damage from transportation.

2. Always ensure the merchandiser is installed on a stable surface/floor and is properly leveled. There are 2 adjustable feet at the front under the chassis. Adjust them until the unit is level, using a spirit level if available. Improper leveling might result in cabin deformation, affecting performance.

3. The Super Cooler must stand upright for at least 1 hour after transportation and before startup. This allows oil to return to the compressor. If the cabinet was excessively tilted, allow 3 hours before operation.

4. Allow a minimum gap of 100mm at the top, approximately 100mm at the rear (use the provided rear spacer), and 50mm at the sides for proper ventilation. Do not place anything on top of the unit.

Do not place the cooler in the following locations:

• In direct sunlight or near heat sources (radiators, stoves & other heating equipment).

• Outdoors, without proper protection from rain, moisture, and other atmospheric elements.

• In weather conditions for which it is not certified.

• In extreme environmental conditions (e.g., extensive exposure to saline humidity, areas with potential water accumulation).

• On a surface angled by more than 5°.

• Under a roof-mounted ventilation system and near air streams.

• In a wet place or a place where water or rain splashes.

• In an environment with corrosive gas.

Connect the unit to a power supply on a minimum 10A fused and grounded socket. If the mains cord is not long enough, do not use an extension lead; ask an authorized electrician to replace it with a longer one.

Do not connect the merchandiser to:

• A non-grounded wall socket or power line.

• A power supply with improper voltage and frequency.

• A power supply that does not comply with safety regulations or current electrical installation legislation.

• A multiple outlet strip or extension cables.

Route power cables so they are protected from damage and do not pose a tripping risk.

To relocate the unit inside the outlet:

1. Empty the cooler and unplug the unit from the mains supply.

2. Fully extract the leveling feet.

3. Move the unit to the desired location in cooperation with another person.

Never reposition the unit when it is loaded with products.

To adjust a shelf (not applicable to units with a plastic inner liner):

1. First, unload the shelf completely.

2. Lift the shelf and unclip the four shelf clips.

3. Place the clips in the desired new position.

4. Reposition the shelf, making sure the horizontal metal rods at the bottom of the shelf are between the front and back shelf clips.

NEVER REPOSITION A SHELF WHEN LOADED WITH PRODUCTS.

For optimal operation of your BLUE STAR SUPER COOLER SC1000F-B:

• The evaporator fan inside the unit should be in continuous operation.

• During the initial operation, the cooler should run empty for about one hour before you store food in it.

• Do not apply load, such as packs of products, on the front glass while loading the unit.

• If the showcase will be out of use for a long time, disconnect the power first, then clean it. Examine the circuit to ensure it is okay before reuse.

To minimize power consumption and improve performance:

• Load the unit at night for better cooling by day, as cooling consumes less power when the ambient temperature is lower.

• Store your back-up stock in a cool and/or dark place so that when reloaded, the unit will need much less time to cool them down.

• Wipe moisture off products before you place them in the unit.

• Avoid opening the door frequently or leaving it open for long periods.

• After one year, fluorescent tubes emit 30% less light. Call a service technician to replace them if you wish to have stronger lighting.

Before proceeding with any cleaning or maintenance, unplug the cooler.

• It is important to clean the Super Cooler twice a year to avoid mould, odors, etc. A 30-45 day interval is best for periodical cleaning.

• The interior of the unit should be cleaned with a mildly soapy cloth, and the glass surface with a window-cleaning agent. The surface and inside of the showcase should be kept dry and clean.

• Never use a water hose or high-pressure jet to clean the cooler.

• Do not remove safety devices (grates, guards, groundings, etc.).

• Keep the cooler in a stable position during cleaning; do not step on or lean over it.

• Do not clean with sharp objects, flammable or corrosive liquids, or sprays.

• If bottles break and liquid spills inside or around the appliance, unplug the cooler before cleaning. Use protective gloves to protect yourself from broken glass.

• Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.

This product must be disposed of separately from household waste through an authorized recycler of electrical and electronic appliance waste. Follow these DOs and DON’Ts for end-of-life disposal:

DOs:

• Run and maintain the product as per instructions in the User’s Manual.

• Engage only an authorised person to attend to repairs of your product.

• Call on the toll-free number for assistance to dispose of your product if required.

• Engage only an authorised person for dismantling.

• Consult your local authorised dealer or contact the toll-free number to know the lifespan of your product.

DON’Ts:

• Do not try to repair/dismantle your product by yourself.

• Do not engage any unauthorised person to repair/dismantle your product or any of its parts.

• Do not sell or dispose of your product or its parts to a local scrap dealer.

• Do not dispose of E-Waste in landfills or leave it outside unattended.

• Do not put the product to any other use post its end-of-life.

If the unit does not work, please check the following:

Possible Reasons:

a) Power cord not plugged in.

b) No power coming through the socket.

Handling:

a) Plug it in.

b) Check for a blown fuse or tripped Mains MCB.

Condensation on the glass can be caused by a very high humid atmosphere. On certain days with excessive levels of humidity, condensation could occur. This is a normal reaction to environmental conditions.

If you notice a burning smell or smoke, it could be due to a burning electrical cable or another component. Unplug the unit from the wall socket immediately and contact the service provider.
