The ANKO HEG45R includes the following components: 1. Front Grille, 2. Fan Blade Spinner Nut, 3. Fan Blade, 4. Fan Guard Nut, 5. Rear Grille, 6. Motor Head Assembly, 7. Inner chrome tube, 8. Height Adjustment Ring, 9. Stand Post, 10. Plastic collar, 11. Base Cover, 12. Base Weight, 13. Washer, 14. Locking Screw, 15. Remote Control.

Step 1. Unscrew the Locking Lever and Washer from the bottom of the stand post.

Step 2. Insert the plastic collar into the top of the plastic base cover.

Step 3. Insert the bottom of the stand post into the collar.

Step 4. While holding the cover and post together, tip the assembly up to access the underside of the cover.

Step 5. Place the Weight in the center of the cover and over the end of the post.

Step 6. Fasten in place using the Locking Lever and Washer, then tighten them.

Step 1. Stand the base with the attached post on the floor.

Step 2. Loosen the post height adjustment locking ring by turning it anticlockwise, pull out the inner chrome tube to the desired height, and retighten the locking ring.

Step 3. Place the motor assembly at the top of the stand post and lower it all the way down.

Step 4. If the motor assembly will not slide down, loosen the thumb screw on the back of the motor assembly until it can slide down.

Step 5. Tighten the thumb screw clockwise. Do not overtighten.

Step 1. Remove the Fan Guard Nut anticlockwise from the front of the fan motor housing.

Step 2. Fit the rear safety grille into position with the handle on the back of the grille at the top, then refit and tighten the nut.

Step 3. If fitted, remove and discard the protective plastic sleeve from the motor spindle shaft.

Step 4. Place the fan blade onto the motor spindle, ensuring the flat side of the motor shaft aligns with the flat side of the fan blade hole.

Step 5. Slide the fan blade all the way on.

Step 6. Secure the blade by gently hand tightening the spinner nut anticlockwise. Note that this nut tightens when rotated anticlockwise.

Step 7. Open all locking clips on the sides of the front safety grille, remove the small nut and bolt from the bottom of the grille.

Step 8. Place the safety grille into position by lining up the location hook over the top of the rear grille and pushing down, then secure by closing the clips over the outer rim.

Step 9. Insert the small bolt through the two holes in the bottom rim of both grilles, screw on the nut, and tighten with a small Philips screwdriver.

Turn the ANKO HEG45R off and unplug it prior to adjusting. Grasp the fan grills and tilt the head either upward or downward to your desired angle.

Unscrew the adjustment ring anticlockwise on the outside of the stand post, slide the inner post up or down to the desired height, and then tighten the knob clockwise to lock it in place.

The ANKO HEG45R remote control requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries, which are not included.

Step 1. Remove the back of the remote control by pressing down on the thumb grip, sliding the battery cover down, and lifting it off.

Step 2. Insert the batteries matching the polarity icons (+ and -) marked inside the compartment.

Step 3. Place the flat “-” end of the battery on the spring, push down on the spring, and push the top “+” end into the remote control.

Step 4. Repeat for the second battery and refit the cover by sliding it back on until it clips shut.

Using your fingernail or a plastic tool, pry the batteries out by pushing from the top “+” end of the battery and then swing the battery out.
