When using the ANKO ICEM12A, always follow these basic safety precautions:

This appliance is intended for indoor domestic use only. Do not use it outdoors or where aerosol products are used.

Use the appliance only for its intended purpose as described in the manual. Misuse may result in injury.

Ensure the wall power outlet matches the voltage (A.C. only) marked on the rating plate and is easily accessible.

Do not place the appliance immediately below or in front of a mains power outlet socket to avoid fire hazards.

Never pull or carry the appliance by its power cord. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or sharp edges.

Do not use the appliance near an open window as rain or moisture may cause electric shock.

To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or unit in water or any other liquid.

Keep ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure or built-in structure clear of obstruction.

Do not damage the refrigerant circuit or store explosive substances like aerosol cans with flammable propellant in the device.

Fill the unit with drinkable water only.

Step 1. Carefully unpack the ANKO ICEM12A and remove all packaging materials, including packaging tape and protective wrap. Remove all adhesive tape inside the unit.

Step 2. Remove the ice basket and scoop. Clean the interior of the ice maker with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.

Step 3. Unplug the white drain cap on the bottom of the unit over a sink or large container to allow any remaining water to drain. Once drained, replace the drain cap firmly.

Step 4. Dry the interior and exterior with a clean, soft cloth.

Step 5. Wash the ice basket and scoop in warm, soapy water. Wipe them clean and dry them thoroughly before returning them to the unit.

Step 6. Place the unit on a level, dry, and heat-resistant surface with a 20cm clearing around the machine. Ensure the power plug is accessible.

Before using the ANKO ICEM12A, you must ensure it stands upright for at least 1 hour. This allows the refrigerant fluid to settle before you connect the device to a power outlet.

Step 1. Open the lid and remove the ice basket and scoop. Ensure the drain cap is firmly in place on the base.

Step 2. Pour cold drinking water into the tank. Ensure the water level is below the MAX marking.

Step 3. Return the ice basket to the machine and connect the power cord to a mains outlet. The POWER button illuminator will flash to indicate standby mode.

Step 4. Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel to start the unit.

Step 5. Press the SELECT button to choose your preferred ice size: S (Small) or L (Large).

Step 6. The ice making cycle will take approximately 6 to 13 minutes, depending on the selected size and the room temperature. The recommended room temperature is between 10 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius.

Step 7. When the ice basket is full, the ICE FULL indicator will illuminate. Remove the ice from the basket.

Step 8. To stop the ice maker during a cycle, press and hold the ON/OFF button. The product will turn off and water will drain from the top into the water tank.

The self-cleaning function takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Follow these steps:

Step 1. Remove the ice basket from the ANKO ICEM12A.

Step 2. Fill the water tank with water up to the MAX level marking. Do not fill past the mark.

Step 3. Connect the unit to a power outlet. The ON/OFF button will flash to show it is in standby mode.

Step 4. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the control panel to enter the self-cleaning mode. The S and L lights will flash in turn during this process.

Step 5. Once finished, the unit returns to standby mode. Move the ice maker over a sink, remove the drain cap to release the water, and then replace the drain cap firmly.

PROBLEM	POSSIBLE CAUSE	SOLUTION
ADD WATER Indicator is illuminated	Water tank does not have enough water.	Stop the Ice Maker by pressing the On/Off button. Pour water into the tank, ensuring to not exceed the MAX marking. Press the On/Off button again to restart the unit.
ICE FULL Indicator is illuminated	The Ice basket is full.	Remove the ice from the ice basket.
Ice is sticking together	The ice making cycle is too long or the water temperature is too low.	Stop the Ice Maker. Select the small size ice and restart. Alternatively, drain and replace the water. Recommended water temperature is 8 to 32 degrees Celsius.
No ice is being formed	Room temperature or water temperature is too high.	Room temperature should be 10 to 43 degrees Celsius. Water temperature should be 8 to 32 degrees Celsius.
No ice is being formed	Refrigerant is leaking or cooling system is blocked.	Contact After Sales Support.

It is recommended to clean the ice maker and replace the water every 24 to 48 hours. Follow these maintenance guidelines:

Ensure the ANKO ICEM12A is turned off, unplugged, and at room temperature before cleaning.

Remove the ice basket and clean the interior with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Never immerse the unit in water.

Do not use aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp utensils as they may damage the machine.

Unplug the drain cap on the bottom to drain any remaining water, then replace it firmly.

Wash the ice basket and scoop in warm soapy water. Dry them thoroughly before returning them to the unit.

Note: Do not clean the evaporator.

If the ANKO ICEM12A is not going to be used for an extended period, ensure the water reservoir is completely empty and all components are dry to prevent mold development. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. If left empty for long periods, leave the lid open to prevent mold.
