The AIWA AMR-200DAB operates using the supplied AC/DC adaptor. Before use, please make sure the mains voltage on the rating plate of the AC/DC adaptor is the same as the voltage in your area. To connect the unit to the mains, insert the DC plug of the adaptor into the DC IN socket on the rear of the unit. Then plug the AC/DC adaptor into a mains socket. The unit is now ready for use. When the AC/DC adaptor is connected, the batteries (if installed) are automatically disconnected.

To operate the AIWA AMR-200DAB using batteries, first disconnect the AC/DC adaptor from the unit and the mains socket. Then, open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the unit. Insert 4 x 1.5V (UM-2/C/LR14) type batteries (not supplied) according to the polarity diagram inside the compartment. Finally, close the battery compartment cover.
