What are the important safeguards for using the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

Keep out of reach of infants and small children to prevent the risk of scalding or injury.

Always clean the bottle thoroughly after use to prevent malfunctions such as rusting, perforation, or spoiled contents.

Always close the Stopper tightly to prevent beverages from spilling and ensure the Spout is closed after pouring.

Do not use the bottle if it loses its heat retention properties, as the outside may become very hot when hot beverages are poured inside.

Consume beverages within the same day to prevent spoiling. Leftover beverages may produce gas that increases pressure, potentially causing the Stopper to burst or beverages to spill.

Do not place cans, bottles, or other items inside the Main Body as they may deform or damage the product.

Do not remove the sticker on the bottom of the Main Body, as this may cause malfunctions like rusting or perforation.

Do not drink out of the bottle while driving to avoid scalds, stained car interiors, or accidents due to distraction.

Do not heat the product in a microwave, as it may cause sparks, deformation, or discoloration.

Do not carry the bottle by the Cup or Stopper, as dropping it may be dangerous.

Always ensure the Stopper Gasket and Spout Gasket are attached to prevent leaks and scalding.

Do not place the bottle near heat sources such as gas stoves, ovens, or heaters.

Do not disassemble the Main Body.

How much room should be left when filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

When filling the bottle, leave 1cm (1/2-inch) of room at the top. If the bottle is overfilled, contents may overflow when placing the Stopper, or the Spout may become difficult to open. Beverages may also become caught in the Stopper and leak out.

What precautions should be taken when containing hot beverages in the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

Tilt the product slowly when pouring hot beverages to avoid splashing and potential scalds.

Do not shake the bottle, as doing so may cause scalds or injuries.

Be careful not to scald yourself when drinking. Due to vacuum insulation, the outside of the Main Body will not become hot, but the beverage inside will remain very hot for many hours.

Always use the Cup when drinking hot beverages. Never drink directly out of the bottle as it may cause scalds.

If the Stopper becomes difficult to remove when the bottle is filled with hot beverages, press the Button to open the Spout and release pressure before attempting to remove the Stopper. Do not forcefully remove the Stopper.

Steam may burst out of the bottle when the Stopper Button is pressed. When filling with hot beverages, close the Stopper while keeping the Spout open, and wait for about 20 seconds before closing the Spout.

How should the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60 be handled when filled with sports drinks?

Rinse the inside and outside of the Main Body (Mouth), the Stopper, and the Cup as soon as possible after consumption to prevent rust and pinholes.

Clean the inside using a soft sponge to protect the nonstick coating from being scratched. Scratches to the coating may lead to rust and pinholes.

What substances should not be placed inside the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

Dry ice and carbonated drinks: Pressure may cause the Spout to become difficult to open or cause the Stopper or Cup to burst.

Liquids containing salt such as soup: Salt may cause rust and a loss of thermal insulation.

Dairy products and fruit juice: If left inside for long periods, these may spoil and produce gas that causes the Stopper to burst.

Fruit pulp and tea leaves: These may become caught in the Stopper and cause contents to spill.

What are the proper procedures for cleaning the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

Outside Main Body: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge. Rinse, shake a few times, and wipe dry. If applicable, remove carrying straps before washing.

Cup and Stopper: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Rinse and wipe moisture out to dry. Detach and wash gaskets after each use and remember to reattach them.

Inside Main Body: Fill with warm water, close the Stopper, and pour the water out through the Spout several times. Remove the Stopper and wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Rinse and wipe moisture out to dry. Keeping the inside clean helps prevent odors.

Carrying Strap: Soak a soft cloth in warm water and dishwashing soap, wring well, and wipe the strap clean.

What should I avoid doing when cleaning or handling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

Do not soak the product.

Do not use paint thinner, benzine, metal wire scrub brushes, scrubbing brushes that include abrasive cleansers, polishing powders, cleansers, or melamine sponges.

Do not use chlorine type bleach as it may cause rusting on the inner surface and damage the spring in the Stopper.

Do not use a dishwasher or dish dryer, and do not boil to sanitize, as these can cause damage, rusting, or deformation.

Do not rub the design on the outside of the bottle strongly as it may come off.

Do not force large ice cubes into the bottle as it may cause deformation or malfunction.

Avoid dropping or hitting the bottle against hard surfaces as damage to the plastic or stainless steel surface may reduce heat retention.

How can I remove rust spots, water stains, or tea and coffee stains from my ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

To remove rust spots or water stains: Fill the bottle with hot water mixed with 10 percent vinegar. Let it stand for 30 minutes to one hour without attaching the Stopper, then wash the interior thoroughly.

To remove coffee and tea stains: Use Zojirushi cleaning detergent SB-ZA01/SB-ZA01E (sold separately). Always remove the Stopper when using this detergent. While stains may not always be removed completely, they have no negative effect on the bottle’s performance.

What is the correct way to pour and close the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60?

Step 1: After pouring, stand the bottle upright and wait for 2 to 3 seconds before closing the Spout.

Step 2: Wipe off any excess liquids on the Cup before closing.

Step 3: Store the bottle upright when carrying it inside bags to prevent beverages from spilling.

Closing the Spout while the bottle is tilted may cause beverages to become caught in the Stopper and leak out later.

After washing, shake the Stopper several times to remove any water left inside and wipe dry. Water left inside may drip out.

What does a rattling noise in the ZOJIRUSHI SF-MC60 indicate?

A rattling noise that may be heard when the product is shaken comes from the copper or aluminum foil used in the vacuum insulation to increase heat and cold retention. It does not indicate a malfunction.
